I was sceptical, so actually attend one of his workshops. Hes good at Tai Chi but not a particularly nice person, hes very arrogant. Hes no magican, just very good at manipulating people (in a Derren Brown way).
That's cool, I'd love to ask you about what he was like skill wise primarily, because while he might have some skill, it's the insane push/jump things he claims he can do that I don't believe
@@martialgeeks Basically when it comes to exercises like pushing hands, hes good at taking balance, sensitivity etc. However, he demos with the students that are in awe of his talents and (most likely subconsciously) overeact to things. He goes around checking and working with people in the workshop but in the process picks the most susceptible to demo on. As I said, the martial arts equivalent of Derren Brown. Only difference is Derren Brown openly says he manipulating people to illicit a reaction.
@@martialgeeks anyway i did the pushing hands once with a practitioner. I incorporated light punches into the drill and he was ok with it. He also taught me how to 'push' a pretty painful strike. It was fun
You forgot to mention that actual HME instructors also couldn't tell the difference. 😂😂😂

Yeah, tai chi is awesome, it's a legit martial art, it's just that way too many peopls use it to sell make-belief chi powers that don't exist
