Big oof I’m all for a longer Uncharted if it’s well paced, the jungle section of Uncharted 4 was a bit boring. I love the characters and I wanted to spend more time with them, but the third act dragged on without going anywhere for way too long.
Get that Australian lady in front of a computer screen and force her to watch the Making of Uncharted 4 documentary because that showed me how much effort they put into the game.

The 3rd act was long, but it was amazing. By dropping so many truth bombs, and character development for Nate & Elanie. This was one of the few single player games I spent full price on!!

But I'm skeptical a little bit if he's just hating just for the sake of hating because of some of his other reviews regarding Dark souls 2, and Red dead redemption. If he is just hating for the sake of it, just to get attention, then I can justify taking the review down.
I'm 7 hours into this game (nearly at the volcano), 7/8 years of playing this series. It's incredible so far. I don't want it to end any time soon. I've only just got a PS4 Pro. This is the most breathtaking beautiful game I've ever played. Absolutely stunning.
i gotta say iw is better than this game and i hate iw. The game is slow and boring with shallow charactors showing no difference from the previous titles. The only naughty dog game that should get recognition is The Last of Us, did everything better in one game
@@aLbotTV its not a ten. U4 has a lot of pacing issues and repetitive tasks (move a box, climb it, find another box climb etc) Scotland and parts of Madagascar (towards the end) are examples of that. Uncharted 3 was another mess, had a lot of plot-holes, boring characters (Talbot being an example) and suffered from pacing issues as well. Uncharted 2 is the best game in the series, and Uncharted 2 and TLOU part 1 are the only 10/10 games they have ever made. Everything else is a 9/10 and below.

You guys have no patience to play more down to earth/grounded games. All you want are mindless set-pieces and high octane action. And it's a good thing that final act is longer. Main characters work hard to get there and in the end you fully explore that Island and experience everything that it can offer instead of being just another few minutes long section with just explosions and no world building/character progression.

I've never played a series where my initial and automattic reaction when the credits rolled, was a standing ovation with tears in my eyes... It felt like the end of a Netflix binge... It was a sad sense of satisfaction, felling fulfilled with their ending, but also sad that youll probably never see these charecters again. The Devourer of Worlds Not really. MGSV may be unfinished, it still has the best stealth gameplay we've seen in years. Not only that but the background and themes are definitely unique and it's still leagues beyond everything Naughty Dog ever did... This doesn't mean Uncharted 4 is bad, it's just that it's the same old action adventure game we've been used to since Uncharted 2. MGSV dared to broke the boundaries of its own franchise and of the gaming industry as a whole, at the risk of disappointing its own fanbase. This is what puts MGSV on a whole other level than UC4...

I just finished this game and i know its her opinion but it seems to me that she put down this game only because it was too long and slow. I mean really, the third act was slow?? I agree with you. The third out of the three combat zones after you meet up with Sam on the island (not a spoiler to any trigger happy friends out there, was in the trailers prelaunch) was the only time I went "another one?". I loved everything about this game and I'm about to jump into multiplayer because I need more.

The game has great graphics, runs well, good controls the plot is well structured and the characters are well developed. The other two points come down to weather you had fun and found the plot enjoyable.

Third act was my favorite personally. Learning about what actually happened on the Island was really cool. It was like following two stories at once. The Nathan drake story had all the emotion but the intrigue was in the story about Libertalia

Uncharted: Drake's Fortune After finishing the game, I remember reading an article before the game was released how Naughty Dog thought the ending would leave fans divided on how they would feel about it. For the record, I thought it was AWESOME!

Personally this one was my favorite of the series. I think her opinions on the third act is subject to how important Uncharted 1 is to the player. I loved the section that I believe she is referring to because it reminded me of where the whole story began and that made the ending all the more emotionally impactful.
I completed Uncharted 4 today and have to disagree with your thoughts on the third act of the game. Each chapter was spent developing/rebuilding relationships and showing the scope of said locale. Without the length of the third act, there would have been relationship elements left unresolved. Just my 2 cents!! This game (along with The Last of Us), tells story like no other game I've experienced, good job Naughty Dog!! Oh, and potatoes are delicious..
The dislikes come from the fact that games worse than Uncharted got rated higher, I.e. Black Ops 3 got a 9.2 and no flaws, despite the fact that I could point out a lot of flaws.

Big oof I’m all for a longer Uncharted if it’s well paced, the jungle section of Uncharted 4 was a bit boring. I love the characters and I wanted to spend more time with them, but the third act dragged on without going anywhere for way too long.
Get that Australian lady in front of a computer screen and force her to watch the Making of Uncharted 4 documentary because that showed me how much effort they put into the game.

The 3rd act was long, but it was amazing. By dropping so many truth bombs, and character development for Nate & Elanie. This was one of the few single player games I spent full price on!!
@@toomuchritz I have played all of them, loved the second one is particular as well, I mean the last act of that game changes settings drastically going from the snowy mountains to shambala, but in u4 the story was kept so engaging that the fact they never left the island until the end of the game didnt bother me, thus I really can't agree that it felt bloated, especially considering it's the last game in the series, needed time to end things properly

Andrew Forsythe If it's his opinion, he's entitled to that. I tend to lean that the guy who reviewed Uncharted 4 from the washington post was stating his opinion. But I'm skeptical a little bit if he's just hating just for the sake of hating because of some of his other reviews regarding Dark souls 2, and Red dead redemption. If he is just hating for the sake of it, just to get attention, then I can justify taking the review down.

I'm 7 hours into this game (nearly at the volcano), 7/8 years of playing this series. It's incredible so far. I don't want it to end any time soon. I've only just got a PS4 Pro. This is the most breathtaking beautiful game I've ever played. Absolutely stunning.

@@aLbotTV its not a ten. U4 has a lot of pacing issues and repetitive tasks (move a box, climb it, find another box climb etc) Scotland and parts of Madagascar (towards the end) are examples of that.
Uncharted 3 was another mess, had a lot of plot-holes, boring characters (Talbot being an example) and suffered from pacing issues as well.
Uncharted 2 is the best game in the series, and Uncharted 2 and TLOU part 1 are the only 10/10 games they have ever made. Everything else is a 9/10 and below.

You guys have no patience to play more down to earth/grounded games. All you want are mindless set-pieces and high octane action. And it's a good thing that final act is longer. Main characters work hard to get there and in the end you fully explore that Island and experience everything that it can offer instead of being just another few minutes long section with just explosions and no world building/character progression.

The story was flawless... Without a doubt, amazing. The gameplay.... Once you you lock the secrets... It's set em up, knock em down. At the hardest level, it's "take your time.... Now set em up and knock em down." Sure it's exciting.... But cmon, just move on!!
I've never played a series where my initial and automattic reaction when the credits rolled, was a standing ovation with tears in my eyes... It felt like the end of a Netflix binge... It was a sad sense of satisfaction, felling fulfilled with their ending, but also sad that youll probably never see these charecters again. No game has ever done that to me the way this game did!!!!

Metal Gear Solid is just shooting a bunch of guys with a ZZZ gun to the head... any other method is unecessary... And if you haven't noticed, MGS V is an unfinished game... yet it still got a 10/10... And can you tell me what was so special about MGS V? You were killing/kidnapping people with no identity and all around it was soo repetetive that I was bored near the end of the first chapter... Boss fights were so boring, especially the Skulls, but nobody mentions it... It almost seem like we are forbidden to criticise Kojima's game... Metal gear solid was a 7,5 at best... And I'm sorry, but in your opinion it has great gameplay, but does that justify a 10/10? I really dont think so... If a game is to get a 10, it should be perfect... Perfect gameplay, perfect story etc... MGSV repetetive mission structure and poor story definitly don't deserve a 10

The Devourer of Worlds Not really. MGSV may be unfinished, it still has the best stealth gameplay we've seen in years. Not only that but the background and themes are definitely unique and it's still leagues beyond everything Naughty Dog ever did... This doesn't mean Uncharted 4 is bad, it's just that it's the same old action adventure game we've been used to since Uncharted 2. MGSV dared to broke the boundaries of its own franchise and of the gaming industry as a whole, at the risk of disappointing its own fanbase. This is what puts MGSV on a whole other level than UC4...

I agree with you. The third out of the three combat zones after you meet up with Sam on the island (not a spoiler to any trigger happy friends out there, was in the trailers prelaunch) was the only time I went "another one?".

Mujhtuba Baksh I disagree with the score cus I loved the game and I agree that some facts should be in place to create a score, but I would say that an 8 or above for this game is a good score based on facts, the other 2 points are all opinion. The game has great graphics, runs well, good controls the plot is well structured and the characters are well developed. The other two points come down to weather you had fun and found the plot enjoyable.

Third act was my favorite personally. Learning about what actually happened on the Island was really cool. It was like following two stories at once. The Nathan drake story had all the emotion but the intrigue was in the story about Libertalia

After finishing the game, I remember reading an article before the game was released how Naughty Dog thought the ending would leave fans divided on how they would feel about it. For the record, I thought it was AWESOME!

In my opinion, this games is a 10. Very few games have given me such an experience. Those that have, are mostly games made by Naughty Dog, which is no coincidence... so much talent over there. (The Last of Us is one of my favourite games of all time)

Lol maybe Ign wanted the supernatural bs back. I thought the game was incredible. The whole third act in the jungle is awesome, one location flows into the next. You're there with the treasure, but there's so much to be done to locate it and discover the story of Avery

every time she said it lacked imagination I died a little on the inside. To me this game was well thought out and entertaining.

Personally this one was my favorite of the series. I think her opinions on the third act is subject to how important Uncharted 1 is to the player. I loved the section that I believe she is referring to because it reminded me of where the whole story began and that made the ending all the more emotionally impactful.
I completed Uncharted 4 today and have to disagree with your thoughts on the third act of the game. Each chapter was spent developing/rebuilding relationships and showing the scope of said locale. Without the length of the third act, there would have been relationship elements left unresolved.
Just my 2 cents!!
This game (along with The Last of Us), tells story like no other game I've experienced, good job Naughty Dog!!
Oh, and potatoes are delicious..

The dislikes come from the fact that games worse than Uncharted got rated higher, I.e. Black Ops 3 got a 9.2 and no flaws, despite the fact that I could point out a lot of flaws.
Ok, 9 is a good score (I personally would go higher)
but the reason it got that score is really stupid.
