Thanks for the helpful video! Since in second year I will have to look for accommodation on my own, do you think it's more convenient to start the first year in the Uni accommodation or to directly rent a room somewhere else? (I had no idea I wasn't allowed to stay there even the second and third year, thank you so much).
Hey! Is it actually that hard to make friends over there? Don’t you have work projects with groups and stuff where you can interact with others?

Thank you so so so much for this video! I want to apply for some Dutch Universities but I do not have high marks right now in school, do you think is an important requirement for getting in?
And another question: do you think IELTS score has to be really high? Can I have some possibilities to get in if I meet just the minimum score? I do not know if UvA is really demanding and I need to get, for instance, 7/8 point on IELTS in order to be accepted. I know you are a native speaker so you did not have to do any test but do you know anything about your classmates and their English level?

I did'nt understand what does exactly mean that it is difficult to get into the second year... you get accepted into the second year? Do you have to do like another application? How does it work 🤔
HazaRd it’s difficult to stay in because a lot of people fail first year classes !
Do you have a job to pay for living, like food and stuff ..or is there a program that pays for it?
they pay for u. for people who live further away originally they are paid by the university:) that’s what i heard. i’m sending my “application “ for the university in a couple of years but yeah..

I hope that doesn't happen to me in Political Science, haha
Specially considering I don't know any dutch, but at least it's an English programme.

Would love to hear why you chose Amsterdam and if you considered other universities as well.
I studied political science at the UvA a long time ago. But I think what I am saying has not changed. If you are bright (like top 15% of IQ) and you are committed to political science, you will be OK. However, Dutch universities in general are not easy!

How does Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam compare to University of Amsterdam? Is it seen as not as good? I have an offer there but I'm unsure whether to accept that one or Maastricht! :)
Maastricht is amazing . my dad chose that over vrije universiteit . but this was 20 years ago. but he didn’t regret his decision
Both are actually really good. University wise, I’d recommend Maastricht but go to Amsterdam for a lifetime experience.
