You become an expert by having a strong interest in the topic and the drive to learn more about it and master it. That’s all there is to it! So if you want to specialise in sales page copy - study it. Learn everything you can online, via courses, podcasts, research etc.

Hi Lauren, for a blog post writer, do you think is best to aim for a retainer from the first job (meaning, in some part of the pitch to offer my services as a retainer), or is best that my proposal for my first job with that client, is only about a single post for example? (And then later on I decide if I want to offer a retainer for that client)
It's really up to you and the client. I've done both. Obv retainers stabilize your income more. But you should also be mindful about what the client needs.
