Not sure if I’d like to stay in the engine but I’d definitely want to stay in that hotel! I’m glad they’re using old 747s for other purposes after retiring them.
The trash bin is not only trash bin it's a toilet as well and you can vomit in it too it's made like so if you had little accident so and they made sure you didn't fucked up the plane with your shit and vomit.
This is very awesome!!!! I used to be a 747 airline captain,,it's very cool to see these being used for this,,I think lots more places all over the world need to do this turn them into motels,,or cheap affordable living apartments,,instead of scrapping them into pieces,,,makes sense to me,,, excellent video by the way.😀😀😀😀😀
I agree, after all the hard work and distance covered, it is very sad when they are dismantled. Also, although less fit to fly, these things are so well built that they have no problem with their new life.
I remember when my family visited Stockholm I begged my parents get a hotel room in the plane. Unfortunately they said no :( Great video though!!! I’ll show my parents what they missed out on

It makes so much more sense to turn these aircraft into Apartments or hotels, so many Aircraft just rotting away in the middle of nowhere, when a new lease of life is all they need, it makes sense financially as-well, who wouldn't want to stay in a hotel plane.
Imagine they did this with a 777X (not in 30 years or something, like just made a brand new plane with everything but the stuff inside the engines - just the shell). You'd have a suite in the engines!
The cockpit is a suite. It costs extra and is usually the hardest to reserve (at least a few years ago when I stayed there it was) since everybody wants to stay there lol.
It’s more expensive, but not crazily expensive. But it is hard to book it because there’s only one cockpit (obviously) and everyone wants to stay in the cockpit.
Just checked, with current conversion, it comes at around 68eur, w/ breakfast and easy (and free) access to the airport.. I don't think it's that bad..

and guess what the future 777x is gonna have the largest engines!!

At least it wasn't a 150...

I actually saw another video of this...

Omg...the way they have utilised the 747 is pure genius. Can’t wait to see what they’ll come up with when the A380 retires.
They should definitely do this in more places round the world!
thats a great ideia, every big airport should have at least one...

I believe this 747 used to be Pan Am - N727PA back in the day!
The engine is ok, but try the suite next time, highly recomended. Best place to see passenger 57 or similar movies.

because buying an airplane can cost from $200k - $500k and transportation can renovating can cost up to $200k.
because suicide rates will go up after sleeping in the engine.
