Captivating interview from start to finish. Definitely one of the Top 5 Interviews from Holdin Court Podcast. 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 S/o to RAY LUV for sharing all this history. Court your killin it. 💯
@@HoldinCourtPodcast Hey, in regards to Ray Luv/Pac collaborations… The song “Got 2 Survive” by Young Lay features Pac, Ray Luv and Mac Mall which appeared on his debut album - Black n Dangerous - released in June of 96’ ✌️
Remember tho.. 2pac holds weapons the wrong way drops them and accidentally shoots a child at a brawl and goes to prison 😅 nothing cool about that lame
Dope interview! Ray Luv my guy. I need to reach out to my homie ASAP. I remember me and Dre first met Ray Luv together and we were at the crest park after The Mac got killed. Me and Dre recorded California Livin original version on a 4 tracc at my homie Ken Harris house in Rancho, we never knew it would become a classic song. Thanks for all the love and support from the fans and the journalist who do their homework to deliver quality stories…
And for those who don't already know and appreciate Coolio Da Unda Dawg's music I think you should get immediately up on game- better late than never! I'ma be grateful for Ray Luv Mac Dre Mac Mall Tupac DaUndaDawg and all of the other artists mentioned in this interview FOMFKNEVER sorry I fan'd out there for a sec but it's just the way I feel, good to see you in the comments adding a little sumn to a true story worth sharing. Let this episode help anyone reading this to make today a little bit better for the inspiration it gives, or ought to that is... If not? sheiiiiiit watch it again then it'll kick in lol
When Ray said it took him until he reached his 30's before he even began to fully understand Pac, that is exactly how I feel about him too. I'm a lifelong fan at 40 now. But today, now that I'm older and more mature, I have a much better understanding of Pac's artistry. Many of his songs are even more profound to me now than they were 20 years ago. It's interesting to hear a lifelong friend of Pac share a similar perspective.
Holdin Court Podcast, This Brotha was well spoken and articulate and I appreciate the fact that y'all let him speak w/o interrupting so much. Real professionals. 👍
So much wisdom, knowledge and history spoken by the brother Ray Luv. Coming from the UK I was fortunate to hear many of the artists mentioned by Ray but when he mentioned the late Cougnut, I looked him up and then I found his daughter and listened to some of her music. This was such a great interview. Many thanks Holdin Court Podcast 👍🏾 Continuous peace to Mutulu and Tupac, Cougnut and Mac Dre, Shock G 🕊️
Thank you. Nothing gives me more pleasure than hearing more stories about who he really was as a person. And he still amazes me now as much as he did then. I dont think most people really do understand how unique of a person Tupac was. That is why I have had the upmost respect for that man since the first time I heard Brenda's got a baby back in the 90's. I remember where I was and who I was with and I knew in that second he was different. He saved my life, I was on a different path and equipped with his knowledge and the message he put into his music I turned things around and am still alive because of it. His music is intertwined with who I am. He was special. People dont realize how much he would have changed things. If I could go back and take those shots for him, I wouldn't hesitate for a moment because I know he wasnt finished. I still listen to him every day, no exception and will til my last. He still gives me hope 30 years later and thats why he sits alone on the throne at the top of Hip hop forever. Thank you.
