Couple ideas that came to me while watching this: 1. Would you ever consider sending some of your best games to someone like Lowko or PiG to cast? I think it would be really funny to see like a blind reaction to your builds when someone doesn't know what challenge you're doing 2. Would you ever consider doing like a challenge roulette ladder video? Where you spin some wheel and it decides what style you'll do? It could be like cheese, mass ghosts, marine medivac, greediest build, cyclone/mine, etc. Just any of your challenges could be fair game and something else would pick it for you Of course, do whatever you want. Really loving your content!
Sensei, I just wanted to let you know that i got to diamond after like 2 months playing sc2 . And its mainly because of your videos man. Thank you! keep it up!
Sick concept. Love these thematic tourney runs! Content ideas: 1. MaraudThor to GM 2. Bunker/Siege to GM 3. To GM Strategy Analysis: Comparison of all runs, win:loss, APM reqd, difficulty to pull off, AVG game length, what unit could be added for more wins, learnings etc.
Thermal... every single time I hear you "if you guys enjoy my channel..." I'm literally screaming on my phone screen "YES FOR THE LOVE OF NOVA I ENJOY AND I LOVE YOUR CHANNEL!! Here, take my energy and make more of these epic videos
Ever since I've discovered you from the start of your 1v7 unfair AI series I have really been intrigued with watching you play SC. I have had a big break from SC, and I really love the content you put out because I got tired of my WoW subscription. So I got back into SC, almost entirely because of the awesome videos you put out daily. If they are short or long, it doesn't matter to me either way. But I do enjoy the longer 30 to 45 to one hour long videos of your usual three ranked challenges to GM. I love watching them after work, or even riding into work (if my brother is driving :) ) But either way, keep being awesome! I really appreciate the content and I look forward to every day because of your daily uploads
The regular videos being 35-45 minutes is great. I enjoy these videos being longer, feel like splitting one challenge/tournament into multiple videos could get messy
Personally, I prefer longer episodes. Because when you lose or are not satisfied with a game, there is always a chance for winning back. =) The games were very beautiful, thank you.
Your Skills are so good, i forget all my real life problems just by trying to keep up with your micro, macro and commentary. Youre so entertaining and creative. I felt like shit in the last few hours and watching you play makes me forget instantly. Thank you!
I haven’t played StarCraft in 20 years but somehow I’ve been watching all this guys videos haha. I like his mental attitude, sorta like a role model for games that I do play. Anyway my question is what happens when the Mule grey bar goes to 0?
Hahaha maannn I actually redownloaded sc2 for weeks and haven't touched it but every vid here hahah. Last time I played sc1 like before was when remastered came out and I was playing party games. Now I'm on sc1 finishing the zerg campaign on aiur
*sees slight graphics distortion* "Well, that's an Observer." *scans, shoots it* "You see, Watson, from the scuff on this Observer's pocket watch, I have deduced that it is a Twilight timed Observer and we are about to see Blink Stalkers, who are the real culprits behind the Baskervilles murders!"
I know it was a long episode for you and a lot of time to just get one video out of it, however I feel fairly strongly that these videos are awesome as one, not just for the length but because of the story of the whole tournament, it's the theme and the progressing stakes. Regardless of what you do I appreciate you Thermy
uThermal, I have been watching since July and I just want to tell you I reinstalled after all these years and I am enjoying the heck out of it now that I know more about how to play the game. I want to thank you for getting me back into StarCraft II.
Super nice content! I really like that you mix it up and always think of new ways to push out new content. I love the challenges, but variety like this is awesome and keeps it fresh. :))
In my opinion you should split the video in multiple video cutting after every opponent. This way you wouldn't spoiling the result of your first and or secound opponent. Keep up the great content. Much love from germany.
always like how thermy reacts when he obliterated the entire army or got loose from a tight pinch.... i can't believe myself either hahahaha. good games man
One of the biggest concerns of getting a "hidden" base up (especially early on) is SCV or Probe production- if your base is miles away from the main, then getting it saturated takes forever, and that is mineral deficit until it is, the better play is to get out as many bases as possible close to the main, and keep expanding as you make more units.
Hey uThermal, I love the longer videos I like watching the whole series. For your sanity however in not needing to run a content soup kitchen... I'd recommend splicing between match ups & also posting the longer video. You could post the full video in the descriptions of the spliced video as well by the way?
I love these longer episodes, but I want you to do what’s good for the UA-cam algorithm Edit: btw I recall LTT saying his videos that make the most revenue are the longer ones as long as there is viewer retention (people watching the whole or most of the video)
Regarding the question you had about if it would be better to make these episodes shorter. Yes, make one episode per series and then release them at the same time with a link between. Sometimes I watch the episodes in the evening before going to bed and if I stop watching youtube hides it quite well and I never find them again naturally. Having a 3-4 episode series would make it easier to find and to have it in smaller chunks. Thanks for the good episode though :)
I loved this video. It was great watching you play with all your skill. You’re better to watch than most because your audio is better. Instead of a never ending series of keyboard clicks you commentate and explain the process. I think that puts you ahead of most UA-cam creators. Since you asked our opinion on the video format l, I would suggest doing whatever best suits your health. Take care of your body and voice.❤
i personally like the long episodes. why not upload both. but have separate playlists. i i put this on without watching too hard because i can see the game through your commentary. beautiful well done commentary.
I think with the switch to multiple videos a day, splitting these up into an episode per series would work pretty well. I'd love to see Greed added to the challenge wheel too.
I'd appreciate the ESL challenges in smaller bitesize videos, I think. In the Shadown game, I can tell by the length of the video you must lose 2-1, because there isnt time for another opponent. If you split the videos per opponent, we wont know if you win or lose. That's more exciting.
It would be cool if you added some static tag to individual series like for sky terran "ST2GM #1: Whatever your title is". This allows youtube to detect it's a series and the autoplay will be the next thing in the series instead of me having to go back to your uploaded videos and figure out which one is the right one to watch next.
Yur poppin off, idk y im so hooked to these vids, u wouldnt think so since theyre so bloody long but i still watch every sec lmao, but yah smaller eps would b better
Your videos are getting me excited about playing sc2 again! Could you make a somewhat updated basic terran build? There are so many out there that is tricky to get to know the basics
U thermal UA-cam may push hard for shorter vids, however most people are starting to prefer longer vids just because so many youtubers have transitioned completely to 10 min or just over vids. Personally I would of spit this into two episodes because your 45min vids do very well and it would do well for your channel. I also know some people cant justify watching any UA-cam vids over a hour because of time and would of watched both if they were under 45 just because they see it more worth there time. Two bangers are better than one in this scenario.
Awnser to your question Long video is no problem. I just pause. I appreciate longer videos because we can sort of, estimate the outcome if you play a best of 3 and the video is 30 min. Knowing you said that the UA-cam algorithm would be fine, you uploading content 2 times per day.. This just means that I have more content to watch very soon when I am finished with this episode
to your question near the end about splitting the episode up: I mean I watched longer videos at my leisure in like 2-4 pieces so personally I don't care but it wouldn't be a BAD thing to put each BO3 into a separate thingy
Hi Thermal ! Question.. Isn't a raven like good to deal with creep, so you can indeed save energy for the mules ? I was wondering. 1 raven, basically can clear it all, with your micro skills you only need like a half >.>
What I think would be dope to see is mastering like a 4 base all in, pretty much survive till the eco is going, then create massive amounts of barracks/etc to repopulate your army endlessly vs someone just taking there third xP
Dropping your 12th base right next to his 5th had me dying
Me too lmao I was like man that's even more BM than manner mules XD
2 on 2 well dotn steal your partners base they will arrest you and make us surrender
29:18
Jason: "hmm I'll go mech"
Thermy: "let's share bases" 😂😭
I would love to hear the cast of these games and the reaction from the casters of the greed.
Couple ideas that came to me while watching this:

that last one would be fire
I like the long form video that includes the entire tournament rather than broken up. Tells the longer narrative and gives context.

Mules mine faster than SCVs for a short time before falling to pieces; the Raven's auto-turrets have a similar grey bar with the same function.
