    Hi,
    you have a couple of interesting ants in your video, the host of your epiphite are Phillidris sp., while the red ants are a Colobopsis sp. in the C. cilindrica group also known as exploding ants, since the minor workers when threatened explode and exude a sticky substance that is smeared onto predators to repel them.

The new ant plant is quite strange, it will be interesting to see if the two species will tolerate each other in the same plant. OK! good video as always! and by tradition I have questions:
    0:50 what is it? I think that this is not crematogaster because they have not a sharp ass and completely in the fur (if they actively move and lift them - maybe crematogaster)
    i think this is Meranoplus
    I just saw a little new moss:( 1:50 strawberry? cool! 10:25 lasius umbratus! and the question is where are the termites !!??!??! white scavengers??!! I hope they will be shown in the next video. and the main question is why Now the soil looks like it is dead? It was different in the video about the dino ants, and as an option, add an carrion beetles. The main thing is homework, so good luck!

    can't help with ID but the large slug's baby's back is opening and closing around an internal shell! Looks like it has a more prominent shell as a baby than an adult but the adult may also have an internal shell there. Could be a species which is technically considered a snail with a reduced shell rather than a slug

      English Ants polyrachis dives doesnt naturally nest in plants, but on the soil or rocks and so on. However in captivity it is possible by getting a heat lamp and then shining it at the place you want them to nest. 100% of the time it works! Since they love heat! Mine even moved to 45 degrees celcius! Xd

      Some sort of parasitic fly that lais eggs in the workers

    • @nordicants6232
      @nordicants6232  5 років тому +1

      They have very few predators, almost none in the US. But they have enemies, the animal that can most easily take down a fire ant without being harmed is that parasitic fly. But organisms that keep their population in check should be loads of spiders or an equally big antnest of a territorial species like formica rufa!
