I had a friend that got killed about a year and a half ago, today is his birthday. We use to listen to this song and songs like it to pass time. Thanks, Cody Jinks
If you are able to look below the surface, we are truly amid one of the best eras of music in decades. Talents like Cody Jinks (and many others) are prevailing despite "Big Radio".
Hell yeah. In so many genres we are living through a period that will be remembered. I feel likes it’s part of this “new” tech age finally coming fruition with folks my age and younger (30-40) and the last couple decades of musics between good music. Not to stay here hasn’t been good music between 1990 and 2020, but it’s pretty hit and miss. Plus’s, all this artist now CAN get their music out easier. Can’t wait to listen back on the likes of like Cody Jinks, Chris Stapleton, etc etc and see if I still thinking them like the greats I think of like Waylon, Pride, Prine, Coe, Travis, etc etc.
6:23 That must be a hell of a feeling for him. He's put in years of hard work playing all kinds of venues. And here he is, playing at one of the most famous venues in there is with his fans all singing along to his music. He must have felt so many emotions.
Hell yeah man. Red rocks is a commercial venue with a bottom line and profit to make, but these types of interactions between the band and the musicians are really priceless. Live music is where it's at.
I’ve met him in person. He is amazing. Like truly amazing. Sat outside his tourbus bullshitting for like 30 minutes. I happened to be walking to my car and he was just chillin, bullshitting with fans. Even got his signature tattooed on my arm. That actually helped me get my first successful relationship and my fiancé. She thought the story of me meeting him and the tattoo was so interesting she gave me a shot. So thank you Cody! If you see this you’re invited to my wedding!
I'm old school rock and roll guy for 45 years...this guy is insanely great...incredible lyrics...great band...and Cody is off the charts. Love this guy's music.
I fell in love with the way he carries himself. He's my favorite singer now. Waylon is my all-time favorite, but this guy is awesome. He is now my #1 singer. I'm very old school, but this guy really has it going on for himself.
So cool to see them blow up. They put on a hell of a show at the rodeo too. Last year Parker McCollum put on the show of the year, this year Cody Jinks. Nothing but more success for the boys going forward
At the end when Cody is just taking in the awe of Red Rocks and the crowd there for him is such a humbling moment. I'm so incredibly proud for him and his success. Real country. Mic Drop!
I absolutely love Cody Jinks...he seems so humble & approachable to his fans. This AWESOME man has NOT put out one bad song...every song he puts out seems so real, heart-felt & sincere!!! He put EVERYTHING HE HAS into every concert for the fans, & you can feel it, see it, & you can tell it!!! Much love from Mobile Alabama
Cody, I've been listing to you for a few years now, you my favorite country singer. I just want to thank you for every thing you do. I look up to you brother. Semper fi.
Live versions of songs like this one, gives fuel to a fire that has been dimmed for a while.. if you know you know. Especially when he meant when he said, " I don't ask for no reviews on the songs I sing".. love how the drummer gets into it during the final solo.
I've watched this video to many times to count and the end where he takes his hat off..that look on his face , just gets me every damn time 🥰I love this man! His REAL and that's RARE! And gives you all he's got at a show it was AWESOME 🤘😎🖤
agreed. when folks grumble about "the good old days" i tell 'em they're not paying attention...THERE ARE LOTS OF NAME BRAND GUYS ON THE ROAD RIGHT NOW!
At the end Cody looks amazed that everybody was there to see him and was having a blast…. That’s why he is as good as he is…. It does go to his head and he still listens to his fans
Cody. Wes here. I'm a metal boy that found you from luck. I don't listen to much but your syncopation and lyrical delivery from "Must Be the Whiskey" got me. I dug deeper. I thought it was just the Whiskey (vodka in my case) but damned if you didnt write the best vocal line. I just want you to know that all of us metal guys listen to country. Hell. I sing along. Thank you so much your good sir. We love you
Thumbs up from Fort Worth! Saw him at a way smaller venue here just a few years ago, I'm one of the hippies and I love hangin' with cowboys. Keep it up Cody.
Can't wait to see you again in Pa. Seen you in stroudsburg at the Sherman. Me and the misses first date! You come back up here, we will be there. Thanks for making great music
Just recently switched into neo traditionalist country music.. It's a breath of fresh air... More real for the crazy times we are living through.... Greetings from Ireland 🇮🇪

claridy was an awesome edition to this band as he seemed to bring cohesiveness to this awesome group and of course the great song writer jinks who brings everyday life to the forefront.
Cant help but love these guys. Grew up in the same area. Can relate to what their singin about. If I go out to a bar or a concert, Hippies and Cowboys are the ones I wanta be around. So thankful to have this new music come out. Thanks guys.
This is the first KJ song I heard. On a little independent radio station in Erie, Illinois 107.7 WQUD Vintage Radio. They play classic rock, vintage country, rhythm and blues, hair bands, even local artists and bands, with a small studio for live performances during the show! Cody, if you ever make it up the Mississippi River to the Quad Cities, I heartily suggest you get in contact with them. I would love to see a concert of yours in the area. Each DJ has their own show and most say msg are requests
That was an awesome concert at Red Rocks....These dudes are real musicians. Me'n my BF met two hot local ranch hands that let us stay with them 'fer the weekend. We had a hoot of a time rid'n horses 'n camp'n out on that beautiful property. Made two good cowboy friends that we'll see again...2021
Hell I didn't know he was from here in my North TX neighborhood. That's awesome. Been listening to him for a minute. One of the best out there right now.
Can we talk about how badass everyone on that stage was
I had a friend that got killed about a year and a half ago, today is his birthday.
We use to listen to this song and songs like it to pass time.
Thanks, Cody Jinks
My boy from Dayton Ohio you made bud!!
Good song! Sounds like the old country classics, Waylon or Willie or the Hag.
If you are able to look below the surface, we are truly amid one of the best eras of music in decades. Talents like Cody Jinks (and many others) are prevailing despite "Big Radio".
Absolutely! Ray Scott is the absolute best. Tyler Childers, Billy Strings. Man it's a great time to love amazing country music!
Can we have the ‘70s back? This is looking promising indeed. Love this
Exactly Jeff. 👍🏻

I agree, the day I found Sturgil was the day I say him live in a small bar in GR and that led me to Cody, Whitey, Alex and many others!!!!!
