Spider-Man has turned into the Green Goblin! So far he's buried Kraven alive and he’s beaten ten barrels of hell out of Norman Osborne, who used to be his friend. But now, Peter is out for revenge against this guy named Paul, who took Mary Jane away from him….

Honestly, let Peter and MJ be married, let them have little Mayday, and transition to the "Dad Spidey" like from Across the Spider-verse. That has become my favourite version of Peter by a long shot. Have him transition to a role where he is a mentor to Miles. I just wanna see some progression from the character for a change, rather than rebooting every couple of years.

I was hoping this storyline would have lasted longer, Peter escaping with the Spear and taking revenge on Doc Ock, Eddie Brock, the guy he owed money, JJ Jameson and even Flash Thompson for bullying in High School. He doesn't stay Dark Spiderman, he goes back to Peter Parker acting innocent and charming to Aunt May, Robbie, Felicia while framing Norman for crimes, playing Cat & Mouse game with MJ and Paul , terrorizing them.

I'd like to see a "What If Spider-Man kept Green Goblin's Sins" as a long form alternate timeline limited series, don't know if has been done before with "What If" Titles. Advantage being an Alternate Timeline are the characters actions have no limits because has no effect on current continuity, Peter could go all out, no more morality, no holding back his power- he could let loose his rage, point of departure is Peter kills Paul in front of Mary-Jane, no going back, he's killed and the Goblin Sins transforms into the Spider-Man Sins, he steals the Spear, rest of the story Peter's revenge against past enemies, real and imagined, but he toys and terrorizes Mary-Jane, taunting her with Paul's death, how she should've never shoved him through the portal, he would've figured out a way to escape due to his skill with the Spider device but instead her actions led to her betrayal and eventually Paul's death at his hand, it's her fault Paul is dead and to twist the knife he tells Mary-Jane: "I wish your fake brats were real, because I would've killed them in front you just like I killed their Daddy!" Doesn't matter anymore that Peter is not responsible, he's lost Mary Jane forever, all she wants is revenge like he did with Norman after Gwen, story concludes with final showdown between Dark Spider-man and Jackpot, Peter toys with Mary-Jane easily defeating her, he's about to kill her when he suddenly sees flashes of their Marriage, followed by scenes of their happy life, birth of their daughter- he sees Alternate Universe where "One More Day" never happened, Peter knows these scenes happened somewhere in the Multiverse and gives him the strength to overcome the Sins but only for a short time, MJ sees her Peter has come back and Peter pleads with her to kill him, she tearfully uses the Spear to impale Peter, with that the Sins are destroyed. Peter is dying in her arms, he tells her how sorry he is and that he loves her, MJ forgives Peter, his last words to her "Our daughter May is so beautiful..." uses his last remaining Spider-Sense to send MJ images of their happy life together, thus giving him the strength to overcome the sins, Peter dies in her arms, MJ knows in heart that someone in the vast Multiverse sent the images to Peter to save them. Concludes years later, Mary Jane at the grave site with her twins Owen and Stefanie, she was 3 weeks pregnant, about to tell Paul the news during their popcorn Movie Night when they were interrupted by Norman- that's why turned off their phone; her fake children are now real, reborn. Owen and Stefanie are putting flowers on Paul's grave while Mary-Jane touches Peter's headstone, she takes her children by the hand leaving the cemetery...she has found Peace at last. I know majority of Spider fans would hate this because it turns Paul the Weasel into Paul the Martyr and that she genuinely loved Paul- no mind-control, no Totem, no clone- and no sin-infected Peter would mean she would've finally ended up with Paul and have her family back.
I was inspired by a decades ago, classic What If: "What If Daredevil Killed the Kingpin" Matt Murdock shot and killed Wilson Fisk, no turning back, Matt descended into guilt and madness, art was excellent, tragic, but the Ending was good, it was suprisingly hopeful, in my opinion not only one of the Best of the What Ifs but one of the best Comic Books I've ever read, the last Splash Page with DD is fantastic and I wish they wrote a sequel- check it out when you get the chance.
