I really think Avril can surprise everyone with this record. She's with Travis' label now and it seems like they gave her all the creative freedom she needed. I don't know if people realize that the "Avril Lavigne formula" is a real thing but it sucks to see it being applied to other artists when we still have Avril and she's the real deal...

This is so exciting, poppunk and rock are coming back... I mean we have all these great artist like ModSun, Machine gun kelly, Willow, Travis, Avril, Yungblud, being all friends and helping each other and making groundbreaking resurface of the pop punk in this new decade! On the other hand other rock bands are coming back stronger than ever like Evanescence, Halestorm, Pretty Reckless all these girls rocking the hell out! This is such a good time to be alive and re experience everything with a new energy. I'm so glad for what's about to happend in the rock pop and punk scene!!

Nor poppunk nor rock has ever died but they did stay away from the spotlight or mainsteam and it feels like is coming back in that sense. Being on younger generations minds and playlist again and not just with all the 25+ year old audience.

I prayed for 16 years since Under My Skin came out for her to make a heavy album like that or a mix between Let go and Under My Skin vibes. I‘ve been with her since 2002 (I was 12 years old at that time) and she became my muse and my icon. I supported every single Avril‘s era, I basically grew up with her and every single album helped me a lot with a lot of personal experiences but I‘m glad she finally listened to us because I‘m sure I‘m not the only one who wanted more guitar and more “I don‘t give a fuck attitude“ songs. I‘m so happy for her cuz she gave me so much thru her music and I don‘t wanna sound corny or smh but she was actually my first live concert EVER when I was 12, then my second one at 14, and 16... and the list or going and going but yeap anyways. In my opinion this new track; "Bite Me" could pass an unreleased track from "Under My Skin" album and sounds like Avril from that era. I agree with you too and also have wanted to hear Avril release new music much more heavy similar to her first two albums.

She just sounds so dramatically different compared to other recent interviews. Like seeing her smile this much and hearing her happiness it all feels to surreal.

It brings me great joy that an artist who brought me joy and happiness is now happy.
If anything I think it would be far more likely that she is being deep-faked but I don't actually believe in the conspiracy theories.
It is more like one of those Deja Vu feelings that you could swear you feel Deja Vu but you are not actually feeling it. I am sure that probably makes no sense but it is such a 180 difference from how she was acting during her last album.

avril was everything to me in my late teen years. when i was like 11 to 14 i was fine but from like 15-19 my life really sucked. i had a crappy school and further education that i went to...there were bullies i had to contend with and teachers weren't inspiring or helpful. but the one thing i discovered from a fellow classmate in that time was Avril...i became fairly obsessed with her music and everything to do with her. i won't deny early on it was probably a crush...but now what i have for avril is more of a deep respect, she is my hero...i look up to her...she saved me from a deep depression and i will always be thankful to her for that.

There has never been an Avril album that I didn’t like, they’re all amazing and unique and they just highlights the different creative parts of her. I’m so happy she’s feeling happy with where’s she’s at now and I’m hoping for more albums !!!!

I didn't even know they sold "Labatt's Blue" in the USA which is a Canadian brand of beer! I see Avril loves her Canadian beer which is far better tasting than American beer and you can ask most Canadians that and they would agree.
This conversation was very refreshing and the interviewer really kicks ass. He knew his shit not just because he grew up with it like all of us but because he researched and treated avril like she should be treated. I discovered her on lime wire back in 2005 and it changed my life completely. Wouldn’t even be able to articulate all these thoughts in a second language if it weren’t for her. Can’t wait for the new album!

I'm honored to be part of Avril's music career all throughout the years since her Complicated days up to the present. I was in the 4th grade in Elementary when Avril became so big around 2002-2003. Fast forward to 2021, I'm turning 31 next year like crazy. Proud of all of us and Avril :)

Avril is super lucky that she came up through so many years of family and community support, while actually singing church cantata music and country music that gave her performing chops and a very solid melodic foundation for writing much better than average pop music later on, and singing it very well. I wish I could thank Avril personally for drowning out the screams and fear I lived with as a young 12-13 year old girl. Grew up with two two drug addict parents constantly engaging in very serious domestic violence for years... blasted her first album on repeat while i focused on reading her lyrics with the music... back in the good old days when you didn't have to have a subscription just repeat a song. 🙄 and even now as a 30 year old mom of three... she ( and early flyleaf) is and will always be my favorite nostalgic artist to jam out to! Her influence on me truly kept me from allowing boys to take advantage of my "looking for love" in all the wrong places and giving it up and honestly from attempting to leave this earth WAAAYY before my time. 🙏 I wore ties, dyed my blond hair black , and focused on learning to skate instead getting caught up in the drug scene in my drug riddled trailer park ( Guiness Book world record winner of largest trailer park in the world actually...Sun Valley NV) I Should have just been another statistic... but she truly changed the trajectory of my focus, and thoughts, and therefore my path.
