Yep, I heard Van Halen's "Jump" on K-Earth 101 the other day. I know that's old enough to be considered an oldie now...but it sure makes me feel old. And 'regular' radio no longer risks playing most songs from the 60's (or any decade, really) which didn't get much airplay once they fell off the Billboard charts. Their library is too limited and it's annoying, especially if I don't want to pay for satellite radio. That's why I love UA-cam too- I can play these treasures any time.

      Womp womp :/ I too use UA-cam 2music . .much deeper catalog.
I hope it's not shoved off into digital satellite sources with pay contracts, anyway . (For a few reasons..) 🎶😊

Such a cool 60's song. I was a kid when this song hit and it floods my head with specific memories of hanging out and playing records with my older, hot, hippy cousin and a couple of her girlfriends. She was/is a real sweetheart and she never treated me like a little kid, and we always had great times together.

When I heard a song I liked on the radio, I clicked on the tape recorder but always missed the first five or so seconds of the song. ; ^ ) Anyway, I had a tape I loved that included this song, followed by Itchycoo Park and White Rabbit. Last week the melody of this song ran thru my head. I was a child when this song was released, I remembered it because my oldest brother 9 years older than I, would play it. I’ve never known who wrote,or performed it,or the name of the song. My search is over, for this one at least.

Donovan had so many great songs and carved out a niche that was his and his alone.
I remember this song was used in a commercial selling shampoo.
We had so many greats back in the day.
The 60s and 70s were a golden age for popular music.
You can go down the radio dial and find 3 or 4 stations playing our music, but in 1970 you couldn't do that and find several stations playing 20s and 30s music.
Unfortunately, what is lost on younger listeners is the feeling of the time that provides so much context.
