What a fine tool! 💣 Great job people who coded this thing 👏🏻 UI shows character of the distortion really well and it's easy to use. I want to see you guys do a creative expander/compressor in a same style to go with this thing. Then bundle those babies for a fair price and you have a new bestseller 😀
Bought it yesterday only because of this demo. Now you need to make a real life physical floor guitar pedal that encompasses what you have here! Well Done, Arturia!
Wish there was a way to route MIDI note to the feedback note pitch, or the ability to use the sequencer modulator to modulate the pitch in a straightforward way (like showing you you're modifying it by, e.g. +7 or -12 semitones). Or a way to quantize the feedback pitches to scale. And the ability to set the comb filters to note name.
An other cool product that I tempted to buy because I'm french and I like to support Arturia new products but... i will wait this time. I didn't finish yet to master some new plug-ins of FX3 (2 new disto & Fragments) that there is already a new one. Not to mention my 2 days ago investments in Soundtoys 5 bundle + V Collection 9 in May and earlier in this year NI Komplete 13 + iZotope plug-ins bundle crazy deal and I'm far to master everything just for all this great FX processors (and it will take 3-4x more time to do so for all this instruments). There is too much plug-ins nowaday (even if it's cool products and affortable) that we spend more time to buy, upgrade and learn new stuff than to properly do music and sounddesign with what we already have. I feel the need to make a brake in this permanent runaway Softwares Acquisition Syndrome. I will begin to be patient and wait to update collection every 2 versions or more for all Editors because I begin to be tired and overhelmed by all this (cool) new stuff that once we get it we'll use one or two time before to move to a new cool plug-ins.
@@AVCM True. But I don't think it's completely fair to ask for more money if I paid for the full bundle few weeks ago. I mean, when I paid this was not existing. But some kindness to old customers should be considered
I look at Dist Coldfire and realize I've seen this somewhere before. And yes! It looks very much like (especially in interface) the wonderful plugin from Minimal Audio - Rift. Looks like Arturia was inspired by this plugin?
@@marleenvos4126 My experience has been that when v4 appears, the price of Coldfire will be deducted from what you have to pay for the rest of the package. I’ve been through this a number of times with Arturia now, and they’ve always been really fair about not asking you to pay twice for the same plugins.
@@deastman2 To add onto that, I treat the upgrades as that: an upgrade. I don’t have the prior licenses active and I certainly don’t need it for the FX as they are just the same plugins as before (i.e. they don’t have a V2 of any of their FX plugins). For instance, I had no need to activate the separate licenses for Efx FRAGMENTS or TAPE MELLO-FI because it’s now in FX3.
@@deastman2 well I have been an early adopter of separate plugins now in the bundle, and sit on licences I don’t use after crossgrading . In the end I paid quite a bit more than some bundle offers, giving me a bad taste about pricing and existing customers

I saw it too this morning when I check the website without connecting to my account but the offer seem disappear, an error or very short term offer ? I don't know.
Been lucky enough to have this for a couple of weeks and I am in love! ABSOLUTE MUST HAVE!
I know, you've taught . It ans so much to so many people, you are helping us pursue our dreams! Love from Sweden
You just sold me on this!!! Great Demo!!!....This will be hours of fun!!! 😎
I picked it up today. Arturia did it again. This is my new favorite distortion plugin.

Maybe they could "talk" to each other in a smarteq3/neutron4 way 🤔
I love her 😊
I'm immediatly getting this.

😍😍 they’ve done it again! It sounds incredible!
Your „Original“ effects are so good please keep doing more of them instead of clones…

i like the sequencer part a lot ... cool stuff
This is cool like the 3434 latest tools, put it on the wanted list! Great presentation and video.
Amazing, i bought 3 of them because it was so good. Can't wait to buy the 4th copy so i can use all at the same time.

Sounds great.

Great comment. I do still need to learn what I already have.
Question: included free of charge for fx3 customers?
There’s a price offer on the website when you log in.

@@furiobisotti8150 totally agree!
can't wait till this is on sale. nice.
In the bundle?
Does it work on Win 7 ? Or not?
Instant Shades, I’ll buy it
It's those modulation capabilities that sell it to me

Thought the same thing
I’ve heard nothing that sounds like cold fire.
does it have oversampling?
Yes, all the new Distortion Plugins got an update with an Quality (Oversampling) option.
@@hrst8849 nice, thanks!
Exelent thanks
Kinda bummed that FX3 basically just came out and you have to pay extra for this. Looks cool though.
Yeah, if you buy the bundle now, this works out as free, but if you already bought the bundle...
Sign into your account and you should get a crossgrade price for it.
I have two of the 4 new plugins already so it makes no sense for me even at the crossgrade price. I'll wait for FX4. LOL Great stuff tho!
@@damelos4039 great stuff for sure
Is this working like Minimal Audio Rift 2? Is it have Bi-polar distortion?
MicroFreak through usb?
After a few moments I realized it was only midi :(
Lorn is going to like this hahah 😂
This should have been free to owners of FX3. The pricing seems really messed up this time around.
I’m not buying because of that; my guess is you basically will have to pay again when fx v4 appears, and you end up with an unused license for this

99 euro’s for fx v3 and this combined for new users, but 29 for existing customers? Somehow I feel Arturia thinks existing users are stupid
I’m not sure where you got your numbers from, but officially it’s 299 € for FX Collection 3 + Coldfire, and 99 € for Coldfire only.
