Greetings and thank you for another great video! Back in the 70's I was selling Honda's (but wanted a Triumph) and my big brother wanted me to get him a discount on a helmet. Knowing he was accident prone, I picked out the Bell Star Magnum which looked liked a deep sea diving helmet and he hated it and mf'd me to no end. Three weeks later he slid in some sand and high-sided and was flipped face first onto the road. He punctured a rib so no talk in the hospital but asked me for a pad and pen on which he wrote: HELMET.......thanks Brother!!!

Hi Jared I have had a slow speed fall on an MZ in 72, helmet was an Everoak open face type wrecked. I had a higher speed cycling fall hitting a road sign (aluminium flat type) helmet wrecked again concussion but ok.
    Long live helmets sir
Ps loved the Wurks stuff 👍👍

Always wore a 3/4 open face, then with a flip shield. This year, I went with a modular for the first time. It's a little easier than a full face if I need a quick drink of water while riding.

cool stuff! Good choice with the Cardo and i love the chin mounts co. Its nice to see Biltwell upping their game with more safety in their lids. Ride safe.

Skid lid by law for me? But I agree with another one of your commenters a subject I didn’t realize I needed to learn about!? Super educational! I see both schools of thought. Completely free = dangerous (which danger in and of itself has a cult following) Hot & Restrictive = Safe more easily livable haha. We all know we should be wearing them without a doubt but I do get the “Free” helmet-less mind set? Either way thanks for another great video!

Great video, it's a really interesting subject. Being an Aussie in my 40s I've grown up always having to wear a helmet in my bicycle and motorcycle by law, it's always odd to see someone riding without a helmet.

For motorcycle riders over the age of 21 in Florida, there is more flexibility regarding helmet use. Riders in this age group have the option to ride without a helmet, but this freedom comes with a specific financial stipulation.
These riders must have an insurance policy in place that provides at least $10,000 in medical benefits for injuries that might be incurred during a motorcycle crash. This requirement ensures that riders who choose not to wear a helmet have some level of financial safety net in the event of accidents.
