When you got to the museum and said you wish you got that background earlier I had to laugh. It was designed to be the first thing you did after the intro. Like you, I didn't get there for hours, myself. It is part of the toss up between being hand held through the whole thing, and being let loose on the universe.
Not having the ability of full, free exploration like in Skyrim, is the trade off for a game within hundreds of planets. Imagine the file size if you just had even a tenth of the Skyrim map to explore... on 100's of planets. I think it's a good tradeoff. I do like the procedural generated landing points, and realistically the number of Earth-like, life supporting planets is pretty high compared to what I expected. They don't need more planets with plants and animal life, but they do need more content to do on barren planets. More interest points and random encounters added to the procedural generation of landing points, etc. Maybe not 1 ship coming down to land, but 5 or 6. A procedural drop team of hostiles, or a military battle happening on the surface. Maybe NPC settlements you can work with/for or clear them out and take over operations. More profession focus. There are tons of things they can do, and knowing they'll be expanding this game for years (not to mention the better mod support as we go along) I think Starfield will become Bethesda's new pinnacle game.
Once again genuinely surprised by how concise and well put together these videos are normally the first 50k subs or so is pretty rough until they find a style but you've got one right off the bat, keep it up and you'll go far great video Unrelated side note have you gotten a chance to play cyberpunk 2.0 & Phantom Liberty, its a hot take but i enjoyed the base game it just needed more time the core has always been great and with all the updates its on that polished level it should've launched at and the DLC is a blast, highly recommend it
Thanks dude really appreciate it, I’m actually playing cyberpunk right now and I’m thinking of making a video on it. We’ll see how it goes but I’m really enjoying it so far and thanks for watching man
It is funny how clumsy I was with my first ship build. I have built 4 ships from the ground up now. I was modifying the razorleaf in my third universe and I realized how competent I had become with the ship builder.
The key of a bethesda game is for you to learn. Starfield does that in spades. The fact that you went online to find someone who did the work and learned the mechanics is testament to that design. That said, great video
I think Skyrim still might be my favorite Bethesda game but I still had a lot of fun with Starfield. How do you think I did with my Millennium Falcon build??? Thank you for watching!😁
Yeah, there's fun to be had but you have to search for it a lot harder than you did in their previous games. I've still enjoyed it but excluding 76 it's the worst game they've made. It's around a 7.5 level game.
11:40 So many people keep saying that Starfield has more content than previous games. I think that's really just an illusion. When it comes down to it, you have the main mission(of which SF has the worst by far), the faction missions(which are good, but there are either as many factions or fewer than previous games), and a couple good notable sidequests(Starseed was interesting and thoughtful... for Bethesda). Most of the other quests are fetch/courier quests, whose purpose is really to just get you to other places to pick up the more superior quests. In short, basic questing seems about the same in overall volume, and lacking in quality compared to their previous content, IMO. Being able to build your own ship; I'll give that much to SF. Nothing in their previous games really parallels that. It's just unfortunate that there's a lack of meaningful content to better explore that system. Maybe if you could actually explore systems, you COULD explore that system. But nope. Rando 5 minute encounters in debris fields above planets is about all you get. Starfield is a lesson in what happens when you suffer failures in proper game scaling and resource priority. You may not be able to do anything useful with your ship, but at least you can have beverages in several different flavors(which do the same thing). Yay.
The worst movie, comic, and book in the Star Wars franchise is better than any idea you have ever had in your entire life as well as being better than any idea you will ever have in the future. So sit the eff down and shut the eff up.
Todd Howard is NOT "the creative mind behind Fallout" He is the creative mind behind Fallout 3,4 and 76.

This game can do the kessel run in just over 12 loading screens.

Another great video! I think it’s time for a Skyrim video where you wear a Jurgen Windcaller outfit.
Also use scan jammers, increases chance to evade scans. With enough shielded cargo and jammers you can get it to like 98%

Against every great and noble endeavor stand a thousand mediocre minds.
Looking fresh in that orange

How are you so underrated
I’m just starting dude thanks for watching
Would love to hear your thoughts on the new Lords of the Fallen in a future video. Assuming you're into souls-like games.
I do like Souls-likes, I would definitely be interested in trying it thanks for the suggestion
Yea I want to hear your thoughts on this game too@@Nic_Davidson
I don't think we can compare the exploration in Skyrim to Starfield. We're talking about going from a 15-square-mile area to a thousand planets.

It's a simulator for fanboying Microsoft, Xbox, and/or Todd Howard.
Ponies are simulators for being fake gamers.
"Han Solo Simulator"... LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL!!!!!!!1!!1!!11
How are you dealing with all the bounties and it’s effect on your game play?
Honestly I’ve barely gotten any bounties and it never really was a problem
You'd be better off playing Freelancer (2003)

All you think of when thinking of space is a half-baked movie franchise pooped out of a non-creative sack of meat?
