There was this guy named Jeffrey Chisholm rest in peace in Compton California and I would always sing the song on the microphone and one day he just took it out of my hand and he sang this song better than Philip Bailey but I've been loving this song since I was 12 years old this is the first group I ever seen in concert when I was 15 years old and freshly at Hyde Park Hyde Park career academy in Chicago oh my God Earth wind & fire and The Isley Brothers are the best two groups head to head but life or death Earth wind & fire

I am Japanese. When I was in elementary school, this album was on my parents' CD list, so I secretly borrowed it and listened to it often on my music video. This is my favorite song because it has a very clear singing voice and lyrics that make me feel emotional. Since this song, I have always included Earth, Wind and Fire's songs in the audio of my Walkman, smartphone, and car navigation system.

My Mommy died from breast cancer 2 days after Christmas when this album came out in '77 , this album was played during the time of grievances and everytime i hear this song i feel she's telling me it's gonna be ok. R.I.P. Mommy until we meet again. I love you 😘 ❤💛💚💙💜

In his Starlicks Video guitarist Al McKay says he wrote this song together with Singer Philip Baley. 🤓 Just in case you'd want to know that. Nevertheless, Maurice White is of course a gifted writer, singer and producer. 😊
@@SebastianBluschke you're correct, Al McKay wrote the music to this song, love the guitar intro, McKay had a lot to do with EWF success in the 70s with his co-songwriting ability, my wife lived in Tokyo for 3 years and saw Al McKay's band performed, they basically played EWF songs including this one

@@ericthomas151 I saw them 3 times where I live in Rhode Island, 1st time in 1978 , in 79 and again in 81. All sold out shows. Parliament Funkadelic was another cool concert to go too. George Clinton and his band still jam and saw them in 2019.

One of the prettiest ballads I've heard from this group. God bless Phillip's voice and Maurice's lyrics. It's a personal shame that I couldn't check them out before Maurice's transition, this group's discography is my soundtrack. May the elements of groove long reign upon this world.
