Hey Taras just wanted to thank you. You and your videos inspired me to start beekeeping and now I have two very healthy hives that are getting ready for winter here down South.
Hey Taras, The first hive in your video with the spotty brood and one queen cup was trying to supersede the queen just by looking at the single queen cup and its placement. If they are swarming they will have many more queen cups going, usually 6+ as seen in your blue hive.
I am a first time beekeeper with 2 hives. They have been going for almost 3 weeks and I'm almost ready to add another box to them. Your videos are very good with good info.
Great videos!! You must check your inner cover for the queen before you put it on the ground. If she where on there, your hive would have gone queenless!!!! O yes and if you take out your frames, work over your box. Your queen can fall off and then your hive will go queenless. You could split that blue box more. You could also put an exstra box on that blue hive if you just split it in 2. You can also checkerboard that wooden box, for better performance from your bees and queen
TK...your succinct and detailed info on beekeeping and this subsequent look at how prolific, and quickly so, they can be goes far in relieving this ecology worry-wart's anxiety abut the damage dicamba, glyphosates and emf's have done to the world wide pollinators. THANK-YOU SIR!!
Being allergic to bee stings and honey, I'm terrified of bees. I practically have panic attacks when they get near me. But watching your bee keeping videos is actually quite fun, entertaining, and informative. I love them. I'm all for protecting bees just keep them away from me.
On your first hive, you probably should open up the entrance all the way or take the reducer out and put a queen cage or something of that size in there!
I love your bee videos! I plan to get a couple of new hives in the near future and these videos are extremely informational 👍🏼 A huge thumbs up for what you are doing and keep doing it!!
I’m watching the bee videos again as I think they are amazing I have one question for you and that is how did you learn to keep bees did you do any lessons or did you research everything from books and videos?
Thats a replacement queen cell most likely as it was mid way up and only one cup they often replace the queen with packages of bees because the queen is poor
I love the Beekeeping. I find it very interesting and informative. I know our bee population is in danger and we really need to do what we can to protect it. No Bees = No Life. Thanks for sharing.
They are extremely calm...try South African bees....they as mad as they can get. They would be crawling into your suit...just there at the zipper or any opening like your socks
I have no knowledge on bees but still love watching these videos
SulkyPanther3 maybe after watching Taras videos you'll learn some bee knowledge

Taras it didn’t look like there was much food, honey or pollen in the frames, you might have to feed them to increase your brood.
Thats a replacement queen cell most likely as it was mid way up and only one cup they often replace the queen with packages of bees because the queen is poor
