This worked. I was having trouble last night before my test with parallel parking. I decided to visualize and memorize this technique the night before my test today. I had a flawless outcome in the parallel parking portion of the test.
Dont cry. All of us have to practice till we got it right. Don't worry after driving for a while your own body will automatically know what to do when driving. Some times, my mind is thinking of work and suddenly i realised i already reached home. in other words, the muscle memory is there to stay. We all start some where.
Trust me guys, the triangle works!!! I was a bit sceptical, but I just passed today after failing yesterday! I had a triangle in my mind and it really is true, whoever is preparing for a driving test follow this rule! Thanks man!!! Like someone said in the comments, the other parallel parking videos on youtube just left me confused
I dont get it, how can you visualize this when you dont have car "as is in case of test", also how do you ensure the back of car touches the end of line in front of lot. I dont get it

I’ve had a revoked license for 14 years here in NY and I finally got my driving privileges back. I passed the road test when I was 16 but this time I was more nervous probably because of all that I have went through getting to this point. I was never good at the parallel parking and think I got lucky on my first test back in the day. Got on UA-cam and tried one of the top rated vids on it and it just did not work. I found this one and before my test today I decided to give it a shot. IT WORKS PERFECTLY if done exactly as he tells you. I tried it 3 times in different locations and it was so easy and put the car right where it needed to be. I passed the test. Thank you so much for helping us all out. Very thankful for the vid.
Not to mention I did a year probation at age 20 and did everything the court and RMV asked… but because I waited and thought I finished one last thing I had to do it I couldn’t do it when I thought I could, long story short it was what seemed like forever making this all happen. You would think they might make it easier for people who are genuinely sober and just want to work / drive.
so basically at 1:02 when he says to make the triangle as small as possible, it's another technique saying when the curb line meets or crosses the right front-door handle on your right mirror, is when you starting fully turning to the left to park the car perfectly behind the car in front of you.
As a new driver, parallel parking was pretty scary for me but thank you for sharing this technique. I applied and tried this today and it worked just fine!😃
@@PositiveThinkingWins24 when you fix your mirrors and start moving back look in the mirror and when you move back to look in between the street line and the wheel of your car the black street gets smaller (that's your pizza or your triangle). And when it's a little bit small you start to turn your wheel all the way left. Look in his mirror that black street is the triangle I swear trust me I know you got this.👍

Just passed my road test MA.. one of the hardest ever.. and after failing a couple of times i can confidently say this is the best method to parrallel park if its just a single car in front and none behind..fortunately for the test most times you do behind a single car.. so if you learning and you stumble upon this comment.. just practice with this method, it workksssss, at every point in time, you know what to do cause the check marks are shown.. bless this guy for this video!!!!! @@ionerli77 jesus that was so quick to respond, i failed 2 times, i took mine in peekskill ny, first time i drove my CIVIC TYPE R 2018 i failed literally with 60+ points second time i failed, i used driver instructor car, i failed because i "drove over curb" but i didn't have that many points as the first time. this is my 3rd time after 4-6 times i fail imma rip up my 5 hour course paper cuz it just means i'm not meant for a license, even though my mom got a car and told me i can't drive it unless i get my license bummer it's a really nice sports car too that turns heads

That is all you need to do. That is what helped me perfect my turns. Don't think too hard about. Let your eyeballs do the work. Seriously! Whatever you are looking at, that is where the car will go. So if you are looking at something that you do NOT want to hit, regardless of you not wanting to hit it or go over it, you will because you are looking at it. Do not focus on things that you do NOT want to hit or go over. Focus and look at where you want to go, and your hands will automatically steer the car there. Got it? This works. I practiced it and found out that if you have to park in a tighter space, wait for the taillight of the car you pulled beside of to be in the middle of your passenger side window.
For tighter spaces, do you mean that you should wait for the tail light to be in the middle of the passenger window before u turn ur wheel straight and continue to reverse ?

Like this demo. Trying to show my son. Others say back until their tail is even with the pillar or passenger window but it puts you too far back. Now, if no car to rear or generous space then ok. Middle of rear allows a quicker and better angle of approach. I usually wait until their light just passes the windshield pillar then all way left.
I use this full lock method but I’m not sure when to turn the wheel back to the left or right when I can see the triangle in my wing mirrors. Sometimes I just get it too close on the curb. Thanks for this video I’ll use this method and see if it works for me. So I do full lock right and then full lock left to parallel park?
For the test, can you do the stops throughout as this video shows, or is the motion supposed to be more fluid in order to pass? Also, would you be deducted points for having the right mirror angled down so? I'm sorry for asking so many questions...my road test is scheduled, so I'm nervous 😅
Skylar Harwick, you can do stops as you see in the video and turn your wheel and continue. Shouldn’t be deducted points. If you had enough practice and feel ready then Just believe yourself and I’m sure you will be able to pass the test Good luck
I have already know how to do U-Turns and Stopping behind white lines. But yesterday while practicing I was so close to parking the car only when reversing the car it touched the sidewalk and I got frustrated because I only got one chance of Parallel Parking and U-turn but if I fail the parking I won’t pass. Tomorrow is my road test and I’m nervous.
Hey as long as you had enough practice you learn how to judge your space. You must keep looking back towards your right shoulder as well as mirrors, front so you can have an idea how close you are to the car in the back. Back up slowly by using the momentum of the car and cover brake. Do your best and believe yourself. Good luck 🤞

You should keep your eyes moving around by looking at right mirror, rear view mirror and turning your head back, till you stop backing up. Do not stay too long in any mirror or looking back. Thank you 🙏
This seems a good way to park when there isn't a car behind sinse we cannot use it as reference but still needs improvement because it seems hard to determine when the triangle starts and when it ends to start turn all the other way.
It is way to learn how to park. It takes time and you must keep practicing in order to park between 2 vehicles. It does work as long as you get the hang of when to turn the wheel.
When the triangle becomes smaller the front right bumper of your car should be like near the back front car left bumper??? or no?? is that another reference point we can use to know to start turning the steering wheel all the way to the left???
I wouldn’t recommend using another reference point. it may change car bay act or angle could be different or so. It’s all about practicing and getting used to the triangle how it looks right . That’s how you get your own way.

Skylar Harwick, you can do stops as you see in the video and turn your wheel and continue. Shouldn’t be deducted points. If you had enough practice and feel ready then Just believe yourself and I’m sure you will be able to pass the test

I have already know how to do U-Turns and Stopping behind white lines. But yesterday while practicing I was so close to parking the car only when reversing the car it touched the sidewalk and I got frustrated because I only got one chance of Parallel Parking and U-turn but if I fail the parking I won’t pass. Tomorrow is my road test and I’m nervous.
Hey as long as you had enough practice you learn how to judge your space. You must keep looking back towards your right shoulder as well as mirrors, front so you can have an idea how close you are to the car in the back. Back up slowly by using the momentum of the car and cover brake. Do your best and believe yourself.

Thank for your videoed on parallel parking one thing how many times do I need to look out my back window when backing up and when do I need to use my right mirror
You should keep your eyes moving around by looking at right mirror, rear view mirror and turning your head back, till you stop backing up. Do not stay too long in any mirror or looking back.

This seems a good way to park when there isn't a car behind sinse we cannot use it as reference but still needs improvement because it seems hard to determine when the triangle starts and when it ends to start turn all the other way.
It is way to learn how to park. It takes time and you must keep practicing in order to park between 2 vehicles. It does work as long as you get the hang of when to turn the wheel.

When the triangle becomes smaller the front right bumper of your car should be like near the back front car left bumper??? or no?? is that another reference point we can use to know to start turning the steering wheel all the way to the left???
I wouldn’t recommend using another reference point. it may change car bay act or angle could be different or so.
It’s all about practicing and getting used to the triangle how it looks right . That’s how you get your own way.

Hi, during the test you are allowed to do a parallel park by the curb of a driveway. Make sure not to touch the curb.
