This is incredible and so heartwarming, I LOVE the transition with nott and veth and caleb, and then beau and yasha too. and caduceus. and frumpkin! It all has such a sense of comfort and calm. Congrats on being featured in the gallery, this is truly amazing work! 💕
I really appreciate the details like Caduceus blows away the steam of Fjord´s vision and the symbolism behind it. And of course that spark from Caleb that indicates start of the journey and friendship. Whole design, thought, animation and feel of it is astonishing. Well done. My heart feels whole. Thank you

I like how Lucien looks ominous at first, but when he pulls his hood down he just looks kind of tired and worn down.
there was a slight change in his face before and after the eyes flashed. as he looked up at the cave he had a slight look of sadness and after it went to a tired emotionless look when the eyes flashes around him. its a tiny subtle change but i caught it
He looks too sad.
I would love to find one good fic with redemption Lucien in it.... accepting Molly as part of himself that forgot the pain and manipulations of his past and that he could move forward side by side with the others if he tried
I think a bit of Molly was poking through at that time

I loved how in the beginning it was Nott blowing on the tinder to try to get the flames going; you can see her more gaunt face and yellow eyes each time it flares, and then Caleb, who lit the flames of change to change her back, lights the fire and reveals Veth. That was amazingly well done.
this is so nice and cozy, it feels like the animation version of a warm hug. and you did it in so little time, the new art was only revealed a bit ago!
Thank you so much!! Actually the designs were released when I was well into the linework, which is why only Caduceus and Fjord have their new outfit, for the others I went with an approximation of what they described before going to Eiselcross, but adapted the coloring to the new designs :) I'm not that fast, I still need sleep from time to time :'D

I'd like to think Matt made Lucien in a way that although he'll never admit it, the time and memories as Mollymauk are still very much a part of his complete self. So I'm interpreting this as Lucien temporarily losing himself in the sentiment associated with the memories of Molly, before the eyes of nine pull him back into nonagon-mode.
If he was completely Lucien... I don't think he'd have taken the clover from Yasha. I might be grasping at straws, but I took that as confirmation that Mollymauk Tealeaf is in there, somewhere.
I really enjoyed seeing this animated bit where he hesitates for a moment looking back at the Nein. I do wonder if we will ever see for sure any bit left of Molly in Lucien.
my theory is that the soul of lucien is some kind of amalgamation of souls, mollymauk tealeaf being one of them. if lucien is the whole he contains the sum of the parts
@@WobblezTheWeird But he confirmed that the Molly fragment was lost. His soul(s) was split and scattered during the initial ritual by Vess, the Molly fragment remained behind and died a natural death. The Tomb Takers completed a ritual to return the missing fragments, but didn't do a resurrection spell, so the rest of him returned but Molly is still in the afterlife.
@@bleepbloop101010101 Lucien was the one that confirmed that, but Matt himself could have a very different plan in mind. Until I hear from the DM's mouth himself that Molly is gone forever, I will believe that whatever pulled Lucien back together dragged Molly along with it--and even then, I'll hold out hope, because Matt could be lying in order to keep the fun of the reveal quiet
I love how Lucien looks back, almost as if he would like to join the camp around the warm fire, but then the eyes flash and he turns away. Do the Eyes of Nine control him, is Molly in there somewhere?
Okay when i first saw this i thought it was something professionally done and commissioned by the cast and DAMN if this didn't blow me away.

In the first instance (Before the nine eyes flash) his eye portray a look of longing/homesick. Then after the nine eyes flash he seems more cold/detached and walks away.

Hell only knows how, but hey, we didn't know how they'd bring yasha home, and here she is. Until I watch lucien kick it again, im holding hope for just a little longer

This whole thing is beautiful but ugh, ESPECIALLY the beginning with Nott struggling to keep a fire going, then Caleb comes and helps her with it and the scene transitions from Nott to Veth... and also the end with Molly, and can I point out how fluid the very end was with him pulling his hood back up and turning back around? Goddamn!!
very good animation, the thing that i didnt see the first time that i find the best is the smoke turning into a tentacle and cad just blowing it away for fjord

i agree with everyone this was beautifully made and lucian/molly seemed sad for a moment until the nine snapped him out of it made me sad bittersweet ending can't wait for the gang to get back.
This brings warmth to my heart, and tears to my eyes... and the end of the video is a punch to my guts, in a good way. so beautiful.

Tis is so beautiful and sad. I love that it starts with a little light in the darkness and ends with little flying lights in the darkness. And the little details: Notts face that changes to Veth, Yashas white feather, Fjord who sees eyes in the smoke and Cadeuses blows them away, the little change in Mollys/Lucines eyes..... 💕
Omg I just noticed the eyes in the fires smoke, but as Cad looks at it and blows Ukatoas eyes vanish
3 years, and I still come back to this animation in awe and wonder. The emotions you feel in facial expressions, and the tiny details. And guys?? They've started the voice acting portion of the Mighty Neins animated series, I'm so excited!!

This is hecking adorable, how did I not find this earlier? The art style for some reason made me think of Kim Possible and I love it SO MUCH. The way the music changes when it moves to Lucien is perfect in the weird familiar yet unnervingly alien way that Lucien makes me feel
i instantly gravitated towards this when i saw it in the holiday gallery. it's so calming and quite literally heartwarming. i can't imagine how long this took - it's really beautiful, you did an amazing job! ❤️

I like the visual storytelling that all of the might nein are in their new outfits and designs, except Caleb, who still is held back in the past.
I love that is was Nott, but when Caleb lit the fire it was Veth... it’s just so beautiful...
Now I will see those floaty jelly orbs every time Caleb uses his light orbs.

I did not prepare to start crying. Seeing Lucian looking back and seeing the sad, lonely longing written all over his face, and then the eyes around him... forcing him back down into the depths of Lucians mind. Breaks my hreat cause I love Molly and i want Lucian to be freed from The Eyes of Nine so he can be happy again!!!!

This is so beautiful! The art is beautiful and the music you chose was perfect. The two together evokes so many complex emotions, feelings of warmth and comfort, paired with melancholy and nostalgia. It's definetly one of the most emotionally impactful pieces of animation I've seen for how short it is. You should be very proud!

I don't think until I finished watching this that I had fully processed yet that their going to have to fight Molly...
And probably just my interpretation but just that almost longing look towards the cliff almost like a flash of Molly before the 9 silences him just wrecked me.
Regardless it is absolutely breathtaking art from animation to scene layout and of course that just transcending emotional music I could ramble forever but I'll just say...
