Hi Patrick thank you again for another interesting walk, like you we have never been to Wyming Brook, we do enjoy your music. Its so peaceful to hear the flowing water, Thank you again take care Dave & Jean
well thanks Patrick for another delightful walk.the Wyming brook looked beautiful.and the views were amazing.by the way loved the hat.hope you had a good birthday and meal.cannot wait for another delightful video.👍👍❌
Thank you as always for watching Shane. Wyming Brook I thought was fab. Glad you liked the hat. I've had it a little while and wore once before it in an earlier video from last year. Birthday was great thanks. All the best 👍
Happy belated birthday 🎂 Patrick hope you had a great meal, this was another lovely walk, there is something about running water very calming along with nice music 😊 thankyou! Have a lovely weekend.
Thanks so much Steph 😀 My birthday meal was lovely thank you. I loved the sound of the running water in Wyming Brook. Pleased you enjoyed the music. Have a lovely weekend too 👍
Wyming Brook does take your breath away. All those beautiful cascading waters. I hiked anticlockwise around Redmires, past the old water pump station and down Wyming Brook, then across the top of the Dams to Rod Moor Trig. I missed the Head Stone on the way back. It was 90° off the track, and I was pressed for time. I wish I had now. Another fantastic vlog, Patrick. Thank you for taking us along.
I was blown away during the day I filmed this, just loved Wyming Brook. I dropped back down to Rivelin Valley before I reached Rod Moor, so I missed that. The walk off the path to the Head Stone wasn't a long detour to be honest, it's just a bit of a pain when you are en route elsewhere as you have to make that turn off to reach it. Thanks for watching and commenting Chris, all the best 👍
Hi Patrick a very happy belated birthday for May 6th. I must say this is one of my favourite places you have been to. A beautiful Brook and stunning views. Thanks for sharing. Have a great weekend 😊👍
Another lovely video, thank you! 😊A stunning place to visit, and we will try your walk when the rain stops. Love your variations on a theme too, you dont seem to run out of ideas for your music! 🎼
Many thanks Joby, glad you enjoyed it. I do struggle to come up with new music for every film, which I talked about in my recent Dronfield film, but other times I can get on a roll with the composing! 😀👍
Like you say Patrick...Absolutely wonderful...Several of those Bridges along Wyming brook were washed away a couple of years ago when the brook was in spate...It's a lovely area, really enjoyed your video...once again...Absolutely wonderful.,,,nice to see the Head stone, a few years back someone had painted a face on it, nice to see it has been removed.
Absolutely wonderful indeed Steve. I can imagine how forceful Wyming Brook could be in spate, so not surprised about bridges being washed away. Not been to the Head Stone before so it was nice to go there. Thanks Steve for watching and for your support 👍
Such beautiful countryside, it’s so green, I’ve been following your channel for the last 3 years, we are so blessed to have such beautiful countryside in England
Stunning video Patrick, a really beautiful walk. Wyoming brook is one of the places I’d love to visit & your video has made me want to visit even more! Love the hat by the way! ❤x
What a lovely, varied walk - open moors, gritstone outcrops, wooded valleys, flowing water. And it's always good to walk somewhere completely new. I think you must have really enjoyed the day.
Another most enjoyable video production, here, Patrick. I'd heard of the Rivelin Valley before, but wasn't aware that it is on the Western side of the city of Sheffield. It's almost adjacent to Hallam Moor, I guess. It's very beautiful gritstone area countryside, with the outcrops in places of that particular rock. I noticed on your film, at the time of 8:34, that totally impressive set of rocks on the hillside, you'd think it was a Devon scene! The Wyming Brook and the reservoir are most impressive, too. Many thanks for doing this film.
Thanks for watching Ffranc. Yes Rivelin Valley is next to Hallam Moor. This was a lovely walk to film on the day especially as it was an area I'm not so familiar with. Those rocks in the distance on the hillside you mention were one of the tors on Derwent Edge, the Wheel Stones I think. All the best 👍
Hello Patrick , another stunning walk loved it also some very nice music . I have just done a little bit of Rambling myself I took a trip up to Alaska :) amazing place . Thanks Patrick.
If you're in the vicinity of the Head Stone, it's worth cutting across west to Oaking Clough and following it up to the small reservoir. From there, you have a choice of the conduit back to Redmires, or a trudge across to Stanage.
Good walk especially going down the steep Wyming brook. Walking the full length of the river Rivelin is a fantastic walk, passing loads of mill ponds and derelict mills. You end up at Malin Bridge where there is an old mill where the wheel has been renovated.
That was a beautiful walk Patrick,I love Wyming brook, it’s especially beautiful in Autumn 🍂 with all the colourful leaves 🍁 lying on the floor like a carpet, so magical 🥰
Wyming Brook was a revelation. I'm not surprised it was busy later on. It's so lovely and calming to walk beside a babbling brook. The fauna was colourful too. You're opening music reminded me of pan pipes, which i love. The music you create really does accompany the walk well. Nice hat by the way. It's always nice to see a hat. For a new walk, it was excellent and you certainly earned your birthday Indian later in the week. Thanks Patrick and i hope you enjoyed your big day. Where did that year go again though? Cheers
I was very impressed with Wyming Brook, so yes indeed not surprising it gets a lot of visitors. Glad you enjoyed the pan pipes in my music. I've had that hat for a while, but have only really started wearing it more regularly. Need to keep my head protected from that sun! 😁 I enjoyed my birthday too thanks Kelly, and a lovely Indian meal in the evening. It's scary where the years go though! Thanks for watching and commenting 👍
Another superb video Patrick! I've never been to Wyming Brook, but have touched on the Rivelin Valley earlier this year. I can highly recommend the Rivelin Pub if you're that way again. I've done the whole walking in trainers thing, long before I bought my first Karrimors 😅. I remember a walk I did a few years ago, near Carl Walk, I was heading to Over Owler Tor, full boots etc, and a lady passed me in high heels. It was me that ended up slipping on my backside! 😂😂 never mind. Hope you had the very best of birthdays!
Thank you Jamie. Must look up the Rivelin Pub if I'm over that way again then. I've done walking in trainers too when I was much younger. This particular woman wasn't young from what I recall though! 😂 Not seen anyone in high heels as yet, but who knows! My birthday was great thanks. All the best 👍
Thanks so much Ali, glad you liked the vid and the hat. I've had it a little while now, but only wore it once before in a film I made early last year, but am wearing it more often now 👍
Hi Patrick, a bit late watching this one we've just returned from Hawes where we've been walking the Dales. But another great walk Wyming Brook looks absolutely stunning, you'll have to give the Staffordshire Peak District a go at some point, cheers again.
Thanks for watching Steve. Wyming Brook is stunning indeed. I'm still slowly working through a huge long list of places I want to film so I'll get to Staffordshire eventually 👍
Incredible , absolutely stunning hope you had good birthday and a good week off !! we are writing this one down one to do when we come back in November Patrick ! we are going to be busy going to Chatsworth house Christmas market also amongst other walks ! great job Patrick.
Cheers Russ. Yeah my birthday was great thanks and enjoyed the week off which included a couple more days of filming after this. You'll certainly have plenty of things to do when you're in the area in November! 😀👍
Hi Patrick. I do like the hat! It looks similar to Michael's. Not familiar with Rivelin Valley or Wyoming Brook, but the clarity of your films are brilliant. Nice shots. I think its amazing the quantity of films you produce in such short times. Belated birthday wishes by the way for May. Much enjoyed your route, information and waterfalls along this walk with musical accompaniment.
Hi Shanita, glad you liked the hat! 😀 I have worn it once before in a video I made early last year, and I remember you commenting on it at the time, but I've started wearing it more often now. It's a Tilley, so very like the one I've seen Michael wear. Thank you so much for your kind words about my films and the musical accompaniment. I do spend a lot of time on the filming, hence long days when I do the walks, but I find the results worth the effort. I enjoyed my birthday too thank you, it was a lovely day 👍
Patrick, nice rambling walk, and no boom, nice accompanying music, yo need a feather on the hat, then you sing some marching music, I do it if I get tired on a long walk, yankie dottle went to town riding on his pony, put a feather in hat and called macaroni or some pink Floyd or alice Cooper, my birthday close to yours, watch this slippery rocks!
Thanks Patrick, looks a great place and another one i have put on my list thanks to your videos 🙏🏼 Just curious, have you done a video on Luds church and The Roaches? Best woshes mate 🙏🏼
@solitaryrambler brilliant, thanks buddy. 🙂 I did go through your back catalogue trying to find one, but I didn't have any luck. But now I know you've done one, I'll have another go finding it. Best wishes pal 🙂
Another fantastic feature Patrick, loved the bit about the woman in white trainers 😅 amazes me that when I see the people wearing terrible footwear tackling muddy trails
Glad you enjoyed it John. Yeah it was funny to see that woman in the white trainers delicately making her way over the rocky path 😅 Thanks for watching and all the best 👍
Hi Patrick thank you again for another interesting walk, like you we have never been to Wyming Brook, we do enjoy your music. Its so peaceful to hear the flowing water, Thank you again take care Dave & Jean

Yet another great film of a great walk Patrick. Do I spy a new/different hat……
Thanks Paul. I've had the hat a while now, but only wore it once before in one of my videos from early last year 👍
Patrick, I think that the legend of the Headstone turning itself towards the rising sun, would be on the Summer Solstice, Mid-summer's Day.
Ah OK, I'll take your word for that Nick 👍
Thanks Patrick, looks a great place and another one i have put on my list thanks to your videos 🙏🏼
Just curious, have you done a video on Luds church and The Roaches? Best woshes mate 🙏🏼
Nice one thanks for watching. Yes I've covered those places in a much earlier longer video 👍

What size is that Tilly hat Patrick.
It's just a large size 👍
👍🎶🎶🥰❤️🎊🎊❤️🥰🎶🇬🇧🇬🇧

Hi. What make is the hat you have.?.
Hi it's a Tilley hat i bought from Go Outdoors: www.gooutdoors.co.uk/15895579/tilley-t3-hat-15895579
Another fantastic feature Patrick, loved the bit about the woman in white trainers 😅 amazes me that when I see the people wearing terrible footwear tackling muddy trails
