Even from a Republican perspective, I don’t see any justification for the unwavering support for Trump among Republicans. With both halves of Congress at the beginning of his term he didn’t secure a border wall, no comprehensive immigration reform, he failed to repeal or replace Obamacare, failed to hold China’s feet to the fire in any meaningful way, tariffs were ineffective and maybe even harmful, he did massive deficit spending, ramped up drone strikes at the beginning of his administration, got a photo opp with North Korea without securing any real concessions, the list goes on. I could make a list this long and maybe even longer with his rhetoric, his attempt to essentially coup the government and entrench his power past his term limit against the will of the electorate. The difference is night and day it’s not really even close.

I had some friend rant HARD on FB over the "good people on both sides" thing. then he called Trump a fascist, and I asked him if he understood what that actually meant (I mean: you can't publicly insult the leader in a true fascist state) and I could practically see him frothing at the mouth. I had to unfollow him after that and just avoid all contact. I wonder now if he's had a wake up moment.

You want to end the Republic for a temporary advantage by letting a guy who without any credible evidence is still lying to the American public and claiming he won the last Presidential election? In his world the only elections that aren’t rigged are the one’s he wins and therefore he reserves the right as President to strong arm local election officials into finding votes for him, create false slates of Presidential electors, and send a mob to the Capital to stop the certification of a Presidential election?
