On December 31, the lights of the Europe’s tallest New Year tree were came on - the Lakhta Center skyscraper illuminated in the New Year green lights. Now citizens and guests of St.-Petersburg have not only a new reason for a selfie, but also one more thing for pride. In the year 2018, which is now drawing to a close, St. Petersburg became the city with the tallest skyscraper in Europe, the first one in Russia that achieved LEED Platinum certification. The New Year lighting of the skyscraper highlights the “green” status of the project. The 462-meter New Year tree, glittering with lights, will bring joy to citizens during the season holidays.
