Hello mate, I have Sony Bravia Smart TV 2015 model, I´m thinking about buying a new one...do you recommend this one? I´m PS5 player...I want smooth picture in games. Thank you.
Hey dude great channel. Just curious if you have ever done the PS5 with your tv and a reciever. I have tried every kind of combo of hdmi, all new and made for the tv, and am having issues. New sub...
I wanted this TV but ended up getting the LG C2, 48 inch. I got it on sale new at best buy for $830. Now it's about the same as the Sony. I've always been a Sony guy. If I had to choose now I would get the Sony. I still have a 09 Bravia with 240hz native refresh rate that's going strong. Good for older consoles and Blu-rays
Hey bro great vid! I was just wondering, did you see that blue tag at the bottom right corner of the tv? And did you take it off? It’s stuck on there pretty good and im not sure if I’m supposed to take it off.
Great videos man! I have the A90K with full Sony HT-A5000, surrounds and sub setup and wishing it had more HDMI 2.1 inputs on TV. Because so many issues attempting to run PC HDMI with thru input on HT-A5000 that I had to run HDMI to TV for video and audio to soundbar with DP to HDMI....
No other review, of the many i’ve seen, has gone this in-depth with this TV. Also none have mentioned that HDMI 1 and 2 ports are just standard. Which is so odd to me. I always plug my stuff into HDMI port 1 but guess in this case I’d have to use HDMI port 4 because…I guess Sony said so? Weird design choice in my opinion. In any case, great review! Been looking at this TV since I wasn’t happy with the LG one I got recently.
TKK, Appreciate the content. I happened to visit a local Best Buy a couple weeks ago and met a Sony rep. So I asked about the reasoning for only having two 2.1 ports instead of the 4 it SHOULD have. The answer sucks as its literal red tape but basically the company that makes/handles that part of their TVs decided to go with only two hdmi 2.1 ports and Sony is under contract with them until 2023 so they are stuck with that for now. It's not a good answer, just the answer, at least according to the Sony rep I spoke with. I did have a quick question regarding the LG C1. When using it as a monitor did you notice the text in Windows to kind of suck and some images that should be sharper in quality look low res (for example the desktop log in screen)? For gaming and TV viewing the C1 is GREAT, however when using it as a monitor for typing, or PhotoEditing it falls a bit short with it's clarity/sharpness as it only has 92 ppi. How is the S95B for text and image clarity? Keep growing the brand bruh.
Great answer because that looks to be true. And ironically I have some comparisons of this with C1 coming up, for gaming. Text isn’t hard to read on the others you mentioned, but that is in my honest opinion.
How is it? Better than the c1 and c2s of the same sizes? Does it get as bright as the a90j? Does it have VRR or EX panel (latest panel tech from LG which I don’t remember this model has this year)
What is the build like? Is this tv thicker? The c2 is very thin and bend easier. Does the tv have a reinforced backing as in do the internals go to the top?
I'm also trying to find out what best settings for using vrr/gaming and what to do for movies. and when I watch some things the hdr doesn't show that its on unless dolby vision is on.
Currently have the C2 and I'm thinking about returning it and getting the A90K. Should I keep the LG or move to the Sony? Main uses are 4K movies, sports and streaming. No gaming for me.
Hard call man, new C2 price is hard as hell to beat. A90K is better for sure, it’s an executive call you’ll have to make. I personally would never buy a C2 smaller than 55”, those panels just don’t look the same though they are nice, A90K is in my opinion the best looking 42-50” 16:9 panel of all time.
I just returned my 48 LG c2 for this TV. the speakers on the c2 are awful. I also have a 65 C1, the upgrade to the c2 isn't justified. So far so good with the Sony, although I think the c2 it's brighter
@@AllAboutTKK because I need a reference display for hdr content and this one is the best. Compared to anything else, at this price range. + was on sale.
So what Samsung tv would you overall would mostly recommend for movie & show watching mainly on alongside gaming your ps5 on ? Is this sony tv good enough . Knowing me I want the top one best of the best for hdr10 & Dolby vision support for ps5 . I like watching stuff through my streaming services through the ps5 so being able to have support for the right tv for Dolby vision & hdr10 and possible 120 fps would be nice
Hey man, Just a question. Did you notice any colour banding with this tv on any game? I`m playing ghost of tsushima on it, it looks awesome but, I notice when I was inside one of the houses, the sun light coming in from the window was giving me really bad colour banding, I could see the shades of colour coming from that light and I did realize that Oled TV could have this problem. Thanks in advance.
@@AllAboutTKK nice. If you notice the same problem on it could you let me know please, or maybe make a video about it, I'm new to oled and I don't know if this is common on oleds. Thanks man.
wow I really need to invest into one of those TVs, that Spiderman remaster actually looks a lot better than the PS4 (when played on the (base model) version. The only modern TV I have taken a in-depth look into was the XH90, is this Sony TV the successor?
My buddy just got to a90k 42in. He’s using it as PC monitor. He said when it goes in the game mode it dims down. He also said when it goes in game mode that the mouse gets all messed up. But he has a 1070 and he’s not running 4k. Hes running 60hz too. Did you have any issues with going into game mode or did you have to set it up manually
Cool right now I have Samsung QN 90B 144 Hz I just think Sony has way better motion handling and picture processing then Samsung. I’m gonna go ahead and get it thanks bro. you need some affiliate links because people like us watch your videos they want to buy the product that way you get a little something something out of it 😎
Is Sony the only company where you can sit to the side and the picture quality still looks amazing and doesn’t turn pink or dim ? I had a VIZIO and it didn’t maintain good picture when you stand to the side. I was happy when I upgraded to a Sony.
@@AllAboutTKK ok, can you please make a UA-cam video of you comparing a Sony Mini LED vs. Sony OLED in a side by side comparison so we can see how bright and how dark the picture is between these two tvs ? 🙏 I can’t find any side by side comparison between these two on UA-cam.

Yo quick question, can you resize the picture from a 48in to a 42inch to a 32inch to a 28 inch? Cuz I know in the new model that's coming out the a95L you can do that.
Well for one, the a90k is a tv produced in a smaller class, it is only 48 and 42” in size. It offers a Matte finish over the gloss of theater size OLED panels.
@AllAboutTKK how long have you used it for? I heard the S95B got burn in from the Windows Taskbar. I am not sure if I should get A90K or QN90B. I am just worried about burning from using it as a PC monitor. Does the text /font in Windows look super sharp... Like no pixels?

I wanted this TV but ended up getting the LG C2, 48 inch. I got it on sale new at best buy for $830. Now it's about the same as the Sony. I've always been a Sony guy. If I had to choose now I would get the Sony.
I still have a 09 Bravia with 240hz native refresh rate that's going strong. Good for older consoles and Blu-rays
Guy did good.
Nice is a90k has heat sink also like a90j last year wonder how much the difference of prices
Hey bro great vid! I was just wondering, did you see that blue tag at the bottom right corner of the tv? And did you take it off? It’s stuck on there pretty good and im not sure if I’m supposed to take it off.
Yea I took it off
Great videos man!
Facts.
Thank you.
@@AllAboutTKK No problem and thanks for the response!
I'm getting ready to get a new TV for my ps5 and I've narrowed it down to this one and the sony x90j out the lg c2, what do you guys think?
Moment you said game console brother it was only one way this could go.
Great video! Any idea on the release date for A95K? I’ll for sure check out your review when you get the A95K!
I hope to have that tv next week. We shall see.
July 13-15
It’s a chance I might get it July 6th. Let’s hope!
Well ya. That's because their using the MediaTek SoC
Yeah a TV with only two hdmi 2.1 ports is no good.
How is it?
Better than the c1 and c2s of the same sizes?
Does it get as bright as the a90j?
Does it have VRR or EX panel (latest panel tech from LG which I don’t remember this model has this year)
Still testing, can’t answer all of those questions yet but I’ve put out one comparison and have more videos coming throughout the day.
What is the build like? Is this tv thicker? The c2 is very thin and bend easier. Does the tv have a reinforced backing as in do the internals go to the top?
Yes it does. Thicker.
What are your settings for when using the ps5?
I'm also trying to find out what best settings for using vrr/gaming and what to do for movies. and when I watch some things the hdr doesn't show that its on unless dolby vision is on.
Nice video man. Is this better than the S95B?
The QD-OLED Sony must be unreal. I went with the Samsung QD-OLED, but that must be much better
I’m not going to say it’s day and night, that would be a lie.
But I like it more.
@@AllAboutTKK thanks, that’s what I’m leaning towards. But first I need to pack my c2 back up and take it back. 👍
WOW! You got A90K ! YOU are the first one on youtube. Looking forward to your test on 3090TI PC
Max Luv.
I just returned my 48 LG c2 for this TV. the speakers on the c2 are awful. I also have a 65 C1, the upgrade to the c2 isn't justified. So far so good with the Sony, although I think the c2
it's brighter
Personally can’t speak on either in 42”, as I never got the C2 nor the A90K in either class.
Me neither. I bought the 48" of both tv, and luckily I still had 1 week left to return it
Not having 4 HDMI 2.1 ports in 2023 and for that price tag is unacceptable. And I bought this one today. Regardless, it’s unacceptable.
Then why did you buy it?
@@AllAboutTKK because I need a reference display for hdr content and this one is the best. Compared to anything else, at this price range. + was on sale.
So what Samsung tv would you overall would mostly recommend for movie & show watching mainly on alongside gaming your ps5 on ? Is this sony tv good enough . Knowing me I want the top one best of the best for hdr10 & Dolby vision support for ps5 . I like watching stuff through my streaming services through the ps5 so being able to have support for the right tv for Dolby vision & hdr10 and possible 120 fps would be nice
I want to be clear I absolutely do recommend the S95B.
@@AllAboutTKK ohh gotcha , thanks!
Thank you so much bro, I could not get VVR running until I watched your video !
Thank you.
Hey man,
Just a question.
I’ll have to take a look at that actually.
This is the successor of the A90J, but in a smaller class.
No the successor to XH90 is the X90J and the successor to X90J is X90K which is the 2022 model that just went on sale $300 off now $1299 from $1599
Very good review keep it up!
No issues.
you have to connect tv PC into hdmi 3 or 4 and choose Enhanced Format (VRR)
I am looking at the a80k or lgc2 I don’t know what one to get in stuck
What has you stuck?
what is the different between A90K and A90J ? except price and size
Latency is lower on K. Matte finish screen on K
I LOVE BRAVIA XR 48A90K✨✨
So now that you’ve had this TV for a minute is it still awesome? I’m thinking about getting the 42 inch version thanks man
Yes it is still awesome.
Cool right now I have Samsung QN 90B 144 Hz I just think Sony has way better motion handling and picture processing then Samsung. I’m gonna go ahead and get it thanks bro. you need some affiliate links because people like us watch your videos they want to buy the product that way you get a little something something out of it 😎
put them tvs side by side and do ps5 challenge and tells us what u think?
Sure
will you do a comparsion with A90K & S95b?
Yes I will.
Just bought this tv, turned the ps5 on but it didn't detect it ?
Mine did.
What HDMI cable do you use?
Console provided.
I kinda miss my samsung, the washed out colors on the game mode kinda let me down
I fixed the color de-saturation with some help from reddit. Colors look great again whilst keeping 120fps on PS5 👍
Very nice!
Is Sony the only company where you can sit to the side and the picture quality still looks amazing and doesn’t turn pink or dim ?
I had a VIZIO and it didn’t maintain good picture when you stand to the side. I was happy when I upgraded to a Sony.
No.
@@AllAboutTKK ok, can you please make a UA-cam video of you comparing a Sony Mini LED vs. Sony OLED in a side by side comparison so we can see how bright and how dark the picture is between these two tvs ? 🙏
I can’t find any side by side comparison between these two on UA-cam.
@@animallover7072 what mini led? I don’t buy any kind of LED tv. OLED or nothing in the tv space for me.
@@AllAboutTKK oh ok. I didn’t know. I’m new to your channel. I thought you probably had a mini LED somewhere in the house. So you only own OLEDs at the moment ?
Nope. Only mini led I own is the Neo g8 monitor.
When it comes to in game picture quality, cinematic imagery Sony is unmatched.
Oh yes sony processing is excellent only second to Panasonic , Panasonic hired those pioneer kuro plasma engineers when pioneer stop making tvs , those engineers took those Panasonic tv 's to a whole another level . That's why those Panasonic plasmas are legendary.
Sony is the best in processing (upscaling) and color science even with less brightness than Panasonic (a90j beat the Panasonic 2000 series in hdtvtest shootout last year)
@@MM-Official They beat Panasonic one year , any year before that Panasonic has always beaten sony , Panasonic created the heat sink , Panasonic processing has always been better , Robert zohn from value electronics , av forums , Vincent fom HDTV test thinks so . A90J and sony Beat Panasonic one year , and will see what happens this year . My opinion the Panasonic was still better .Vincen from HDTV testv also also thought the Panasonic was better than the A90j.
@@michaelfoster3441 Sony is the only manufacturer handle the holy trinity upscaling+ motion+color science period
In one year with less wow spec's, they manage to beat the Panasonic with almost 3 years advantage on heatsink and color volume
Plus, Sony is very good on sound too + reliability
Sony are the BMW of tv's, even with inferior specs, still they deliver 😆
@@MM-Official No they are not Panasonic is better that's not true at all Panasonic created the heat sink that's facts , in erupe 2015 Panasonic TX 65inch CCZ95b, won tv shoot out, 2016 lg won the tv shoot ,2017 Panasonic won the tv shoot out , 2018 winner Panasonic FZ802 runner up Sony Af8 oled ,in 2019 lthe legendary GZ2000 winner runner up LG C9 , 3rd place Sony A9G oled ,2020 Winner Panasonic H2000 oled second place lg cx , 3rd place Phillips 935 oled , 4th place , Sony A8 oled .In 2021 winner Sony A90j second place Panasonic oled . @@kennybrooks8374 I do have the new oleds , but I still watch my pioneer Kuro it's amazing , those same engineers who created the kuro now work for Panasonic that's why Panasonic oled tvs and processing is a cut above everyone else, those engineers created the heat sink technology.
HI, sir. Do you have XBSX? Is it possible to turn on the dolby vision and plug XBSX on port 3/4?
Impossible
@@AllAboutTKK why? There is Dolby vision option on hdmi 3/4 port
@@tamsaiming2003 forgive me I misread your comment, ports 3/4, yes. I had assumed you meant if I already had them in use.
@@AllAboutTKK no problem
Show movies on, please!
Lol. Yeah right man, you can’t be serious. Show movies will absolutely crush my video.
@@AllAboutTKK thank you, anyway, that will be my 2022 TV, I want it more for movies but the gaming is a plus.
Great TV. Thanks for the video. I'll also be using my PS5 on the A90K when I get my 42 inch. I'll be looking forward to go from 1080p LCD to 4K OLED. I'll also be testing Spiderman, Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart, Sackboy: A Big Adventure, and many others.
Nice. I can look to throw a video up of some random 4K footage of those if it would entertain you.
Thanks for the support.
@@AllAboutTKK yes pls
OK, great. Looking forward to seeing what those games would look like on the TV, whether on the 48 inch from the videos or the 42 inch in person. :-)

I have a older Sony tv and wanted to upgrade for my ps5 but my 65 inch Sony I got in 2016 I use for tv and thought about just getting a oled tv for gaming only. I’m between either a 42’ lg C2 or Sony A90k
Gaming would be the C2 sir. It’s just a better overall experience for your use case with photo quality that is close enough in margin that you would not miss the a90k.
@@AllAboutTKK I thought about that as well. Guess that’s what I’m about to do. Get the LG C2 48inch. My job has a third party we can get electronics from and deduct from our payroll so that’s what I’m going to do.
That’s what up bro. You live in the states?
@@AllAboutTKK yeah Birmingham, AL
That’s what up man my grand daddy family from there.
Anyway I’m not sure of your credit situation but if you consider going through Best Buy I do believe they have 2 years same as cash with either of those two tv sets, I’d recommend a warranty also. But just wanted to offer my 2 cents.
I’m here if I can help with anything going forward.
Yo quick question, can you resize the picture from a 48in to a 42inch to a 32inch to a 28 inch? Cuz I know in the new model that's coming out the a95L you can do that.
That’s a feature within the new model. For you to be able to use the display as two panels.
what is a different a90j vs a90k 🤔❓
Well for one, the a90k is a tv produced in a smaller class, it is only 48 and 42” in size. It offers a Matte finish over the gloss of theater size OLED panels.
@@AllAboutTKK It doesn't look matte in your video. It's like a mirror, a blurry mirror. Maybe it's one of those "semi-glossy" displays.
More like semi matte
The A90K look's great TKK.
Steve, thank you bro. I agree:
Ps5 x Bravia xr a90k the perfect combo😍
Keep up the work my bro
Thanks.
Do you use it for a PC monitor too? Are you getting any burn ins?
Yes and no burn in.
@@pinglocalhost a90K has been used in some capacity since it hit my home. It’s been connected with a Ryzen 9 5000 series chip, it has been game on. Text in my opinion looks fine. Might not be for you, why not just get a quality monitor?
@AllAboutTKK After going to q8fn tv.
I think these new tv look better than monitors. The input lag is getting even better with game mode. On that burn in samsung S95B, they pushed out a firmware update because the original version was pushing out too much brightness.
I can imagine.
