- Patient experienced vertigo and tinnitus 4 months ago. 1 month later experienced afterimage vision problem, also known as palinopsia. Similar to when we are exposed to a very bright light in a dark room, we still see that bright light for a short period of time. For those who have Palinopsia, the afterimage remains and the image floats as the person moves.

@@Fred-ur2sr try not to repeat after images on purpose. I know this can be hard but it’s important. Take care of yourself physically and mentally. Eat good, get lots of rest, take care of your hygiene, and do things you enjoy, & exercise
Take it one day at a time! And take vitamins. While the vitamins won’t help with your symptoms, it can help you maintain a healthy body & mindset.
And try not to do too much research on your visuals! There’s no cure or answers so sending yourself into these rabbit holes of research will just increase anxiety.

If I will try to stand straight (properly) all the time while during last 9 years I've been sitting behind computer in bad position etc. then it may also cure my palinopsia problems? (after image/visual snow/tinnitus) or by doing this, my backs might have more pressure on nervous system? I've never been in chiropractic doctor but i'm 100% sure that my backbone isn't fully straight.

I have had palinopsia accompanied with visual snow everyday, for as long as I can remember. & gone to see doctors about it many times but because it's so rare they don't see it as an actual problem and don't care for my treatment at all. Especially now because of covid and all, it is really frustrating. But at the same time I've gotten used to living with it

This is great but the chiropractors I have seen did not seem that well educated on the nerve system. I have a pain in my neck and back for many years now and although the pain got less after the chiropractor it was still there and came back again as well. Also when I went to the first chiropractor, I noticed my limbs started to tingle and sleep much faster than before but he said he didn't know how this was possible. I also got tinnitus for a long time but this is just from going to a festival.
About a year ago I noticed my vision also started to become worse. I do not think I have real afterimages but I've got some kind of pulsating visual snow in my vision. This got worse in times of stress. I can't see as well in the dark anymore and lights are more sensitive.
If any of these complications could be cured I would be so happy.

I have visual snow, palinopsia and tinnitus too - particularly with visual snow, I see it all the time whether my eyes are open or closed. (and in some ways, it's made all the worse when my eyes are closed, as at least when my eyes are open I can be slightly distracted by focusing on what's in my field of vision, but with my eyes closed it's a blank, dark canvas that makes the visual snow and flashing lights all the more prominent.) It's become a daily problem that has completely decreased my ability and enjoyment of life with just about everything.

my after images are so bad dude. If there's a car behind me at night and I look in the rearview and look at their headlights then look back at the road, I can see their lights. Lasts several seconds.
I get after images on a lot of things, that's just an example. Another is like watching netflix with subtitles then looking at the ceiling, the subtitles will be on the ceiling smh. It's like an old TV with a video game left on too long without a screen saver.
I have chronic pain in my neck and shoulder. I swear they are related. I did chiropractor, I did an MRI, I'm at my witts end dude.
I don't have any more money to figure this out.

Sir, can this also cause Hyperacusis? (increased sound sensitivity). No doctors are able to diagnose why I am having palinopsia combined with hearing problems. My eye exams are fine, my ears are also fine, no infection, no blockage and normal ear drums.

Ran some tests everything turned out to be fine. If it's the tests can't find anything and my symptoms match VS perfectly they confirmed that it's VS.

Been getting the same issues. Visual snow, flashes of light, light sensitivity and strange afterimages that linger. Flares up when I drink alcohol, get less sleep or drink too much caffeine. MRI and EEG came back fine, eye examination came back fine apart from my internal eye pressure which came back high at the opticians but normal at the hospital when getting looked at by a specialist. Strange stuff, gets my anxiety going sometimes. I live in the UK, perhaps this is worth a look at?

Many people have exactly the same symptoms. Mine started as soon as my neck got worse so I think it has to do something with that. Many VS sufferers also have neck problems so it could be very possible that it’s the cause.

@@ahamed5432 I have mild visual trailing which appeared after my neck problems....visual trailing is not a disease, it's a symptom which occurs from taking drugs, certain medicines or from some neck issues....so I suggest you find the source of your symptom and treat it accordingly....going to an eye doctor won't help as it's related to the brain....if your visual trailing is related to neck I suggest you go to a physiotherapist or chiropractor to get perfect alignment of your neck and head as incorrect alignment result in pinched nerve which causes visual disturbances like visual trailing, and if it's not possible to go to a doctor I suggest you do yoga of spine, neck and shoulder. But first find out the source of your problem which is causing this visual trailing.

I have after image issue and this vision trailing issue which is irritating me always , can u just tell me like what all issue you faced and how you over come it.
