Nice watch. Little bit of overkill for me. I agree, it’s a better watch than a Daytona. The annual calendar looks amazing, but I hate watch winders and with a 45 hour power reserve, I would be setting the thing all the time. Also my days of blowing $20,000 on a watch are over. Thanks for the interesting watch.

Such an overlooked brand. This is my absolute grail alongside their Tonda PF micro rotor. They make cases for Patek Philippe, IWC, and MB&F, components for Richard Mille, and dials for Audimars Piguet! With those big dogs getting parts from them you surely know that what you get from them is top class!

At first I didn't notice the running seconds then noticed it's on the right compact running seconds by the month. Interesting the seconds start at would be at 45 secs. Different and like it. Easy to read date, like that. Beautiful watch.
If you are talking about changing the date, easy, the second pull of the Crown will allow you to do that. If you are talking about change of the month (month window is there because this is an Annual Calendar), then it is when you will appreciate this Annual Calendar complication with Big Date window, I have plenty of fun turning the crown and playing with the day and month change. The Greek’s Golden Ratio applied to this time piece is marvelous, an excellent proportioned marvel like having Rolex Sky Dweller and Rolex Daytona fused into one. Well done Parmigiani!
Genuine high horology, on a par with JLC, which means one tier below the trinity, there's a GP with a very similar movement, and a annual perpetual additions but a similar lay out
if you wear it in rotation, its not a big deal to keep it off the winder cause you just advance the date a couple days. Just bad if you dont wear for months.
I haven't seen too many of their watches, 2 or 3 at this point. But they were all larger. So you could be right about that. Side note about your name, EVH fan or do you play 5150 amps? I had a 5150 guitar amp for a while, it was killer.
Guy. Arguably better??!! Are you being serious, or are you only after a lot of reactions? The Parmigiani is in another league. 2 or 3 leagues better than the Rolex. Period.
So I just had a question I see some of them are limited editions and some are not So to my understanding only the black dial is limited and the white dial isn't could you help confirm
Nice review. Tried it at AD. There are also the normal Tonda GT versions. Chronograph GT is a fantastic watch. Elegant, high horlogerie, outstanding fit on my wrist. Watch-rubber strap combo is beautiful and looks stunning. Didn't like the steel bracelet. The 0-30/30-60 second is great and very unusual but I love it. Different and not like everybody. If you want to be like everybody, buy something else. Agree, it will not hold the price like Rolex Daytona but so wasnt Rolex Daytona until the hype started. I tried the Daytona, but not a good fit on my wrist. Who knows how much longer this Daytona hype will continue..... Like the house market bubble. Careful....

These watches are indeed hardly comparable. PF is haute horlogerie whereas Rolex produces just solid industrial watches. That’s why the Daytona retails at 13k, the PF at 20k.
If you think the design, style, etc. of the Daytona is better that’s fair, but also subjective. In objective ways, such as quality of finishing, dial detail, movement, complications, I’d have to disagree. This is objectively better.
@@JustBlueFish just words my friend, and they’re of course very, very cheap. I’ve found in life, overall, and over time… the “market” is right. A RRP £10k watch instantly worth three times that. Message ends here.

I know H Moser makes parts and movements for other brands. Didn’t know these guys do as well.

Definitely a great watch and would be a great daily wear. Rolex is cool, we all get it. But the PF is a nicer watch.

This watch is great value, but the new one looks way better. Lets complicated though without the big date

I appreciate that!
This watch isn't arguably a better watch than the Daytona. It absolutely blows it out the water. The two aren't even in the same ballpark

So you're saying to advance the month, ypu have to scroll throw the dates to get to the correct month?
Another difference: Rolex Daytona is 28,800 vph and 72h reserve, while the PF GT is also 28,800 vph but 45h reserve.
But it's ugly
Way better than a Daytona.
Maybe not as much of a tank,
but soo elegant AND sporty
Thanks for putting this watch on my radar
This thing costs retail the same price like a used daytonasteel from 2008. Better movement, big date and open cseback. CRAZY!
Solid gold rotor too

Great to see you reviewing more examples of true high horology. Their are great deals to be found on Parmigiani. Lovely piece.
More to come!
This watch is more beautifull better finushing, more origibal, and better quality than the rolex daytona nice review and wonderfull watch.
Thanks Jose, glad you enjoyed it.

Yeah true.

It's not arguably a better watch than the Daytona. It *IS* a better watch than the Daytona.
