This CEO is really pushing the brand for a higher level, thank you sir for having him in 😊
It is so wonderful you show companies such as this as they make gorgeous watches. It seems these days when it comes to sports style watches the internet is filled with Rolex, Nautilus or Speedmaster. It has gotten to the point where I now find these o be immensely boring. This is fresh , the watch for individuals who dare to be different and not follow the herd!
Absolutely stunning! Holy trinity quality, in my opinion.
Absolutely! I did not want to stress that wording "holy trinity" so I said the golden triangle ... I am sure everybody understood who was meant...
@@WatchAdvisor Honestly, I totally missed that. But, they have the quality to be in that conversation. The blue Chrono was gorgeous.
Quite impressive what Parmigiani is able to accomplish! The Tonda Chrono would be my pick. Thanks for the inside, Alexander.
Guido truly embodies the maison. He's an artisan of words and concepts, deeply thoughtful and restrained. A refreshing personality of deep substance in an industry riddled with overly promotional brands. That applies to the Parmigiani maison, not just Guido's mindset. Bravo!
That’s true! Thanks for sharing! Now the Sandoz Foundation needs to give him time and be patient… Then Parmigiani will rock the industry…
@@WatchAdvisor I totally agree. It's really great that you went behind the scenes to help us understand the depth of the maison. I've already placed my orders for 2022 W&W parmigiani.
@@WatchAdvisor the most recent one you handled! The Tonda PF GMT. Did you know that you are the only channel to have filmed the different angles of the watch placed on your wrist? All the other channels simply filmed the watch by itself, or just placed on the wrist without any rotation to show how it sits in 3 dimensions. So I owe you a thanks!
never, never, never in my life have i ever liked or considered buying a gold watch until i saw this video. just wow, amazing!
Alexander. You do the best watch reviews on UA-cam thank you. Alan Newland. England
Fascinating video. Gave me a lot more confidence in the strength and future of the brand. Mr. Terreni is a very captivating speaker. And as always Alex is a great host. Loved this.
Guido showed what he is able to do with Bulgari the last years... Now he will lead Parmigiani towards new frontiers...
Thank you for this new thread!
Just a few words to leave my very possitive impression, these pieces are lovely and exquisite!
Thank you!
Saludos!!
Alexander - Thank you for this excellent presentation of Parmigiana Fleurier.
Kind Regards from the U.S.
Steve
Elegantly understated watches. Makes a nice change from the popular shiny sports watches. Looking forward to the rest of the series.
Very understated indeed! A Parmigiani you buy for yourself and not for others to show off...
I have not been able to watch a lot of your videos due to being busy with work. I am back now! Your content is top notch, Alex. I had really missed your voice and interviews
You ROCK Alexander!! Thank you for presenting the Tonda PF and Parmigiani Fleurier to the world and your amazing audience!!
Rachel, thanks for sharing our passion! I am very, very happy to read this! Love your comment!
Magnificent presentation with a company and a CEO who are in synchronization in the production of exceptional time pieces. Thank you for bringing this to us.
Hello, Alexander.
Brillant interview , we are spechless !
This manufacture is in the top of the roof. Simplicity, Best level of quality and passion! Stunning !
Good evening, Alexander !
Simply - WOW - what beautiful watches.
I really enjoyed the reasoning behind the design elements to define the brand. Excellent video Alexander. Thanks for your great work.
Thanks for the kind feedback! Don't miss the other videos about Parmigiani ...
Thank you for the video, love seeing watch company CEOs being interviewed as you get a great insight to what they're planning and focusing on.
Thank you Alexander for sharing a true gem with us! This is a maker with a true sense of the elegance of simplicity. I love the understatement of that lug shape , it's far more tasteful then, say, Moser's sculpturing. I found it also most interesting how much Mr. Terreni himself personifies the style of these pieces.
A very enjoyable interview!
Thanks Alex for this great interview love the brands and the ceo talk in classy way ✌️🎩
You are welcome, thanks for sharing our passion! Don’t miss the upcoming videos where we show what’s behind the brand… Stunning I can tell you!
It is obvious that a lot of thought has been put into design and development of the new TONDA line ! Apart from technical accomplishments of calibres and production in general, new TONDA line achieved what many aspire to: understatement and refinement ! Well done Parmigiani !!! Excellent video, Alexander !
Nice timing to have this after the Rolex AD video, it shows what one can have over the status quo.
A very interesting presentation.
Up to your usual standard👍
Lovely watches, engineering amazing, design amazing. I may see them in a museum one day 😢
Looking forward to the other 3.
I agree, passion is at the heart of any collector 😃👍🇦🇺
Great to see you again Alexander! PF is one of the most unheralded watch makers out there. Mr. Terreni will lead PF to great heights.
Hello George, with Guido Terreni Parmigiani finally got the CEO it needed... I can tell you that there is much more to come...
Thank you Alex. Wonderful content as always. I LOVE the Rattrapante! The overall design and movement architecture is truly stunning. I wish it was a bit thinner, but that is a pretty small criticism considering the overall success of the design.
Almost all split second chronographs are a bit thick… this is due to the construction and the space it needs …
Im speechless! Amazing!
We are too! When you have seen the other videos you will be even more speechless...
Thanks Alex for sharing Parmigiani is a very nice Brand for Conoseur. My favorite is the Tonda GT Chronograph with Panda Dial. 🐼 👍
Stunning watches and great details as always with Alexander.
Thank you very much! Wait until you have seen our other Parmigiani videos...
The Tonda doesn't immediately remind you of any other watch, a nice feat in todays watch business
Thanks Alex for this series of videos. I've always loved Parmigiani and have been since many years so I'm happy to be able to see the inside of the brand and the interesting stories.
The new collection will take a bit of warming to for me. I prefer the Tonda/graph GT collection. However, I'm hoping to get their Toric Hemispheres soon.
You are welcome! Once all videos are online and you have watched them, please share your thoughts with us...
Amazing craftsmanship wonderfully presented by Alexander! I love how these watches are so slim!
New to the channel and thanks for the great content. I've been offered a Tonda steel very recently and I'm searching everywhere trying to find out more about the brand and the watch. This video does exactly the same that I was looking for.

Alex I am glad to be able to observe the fantastic horological journalism to which we are accustomed, now with a great brand of the horological world for me these are pieces of engineering very well achieved with a very peculiar style, honestly my choice in blue dial watch looks fantastic !!!
Thanks for your kind feedback! Our series of Parmigiani videos will show what they are capable to do... I can't wait to publish the next one... we are editing...
That platinum split-second chronograph is just such a special piece... I would absolutely love to own one of those.
Very nice and impressive video. I like this watches very much! The Tondagraph GT silver/white with panda dial my favorite. But also the blue hi beat Tonda Chronograph perfect.
Great video as always, Alexander!
Thanks for sharing our passion and your kind feedback! Which of the shown Tonda watches do you prefer?
@@WatchAdvisor it's not the particular watches that I liked the most but I got a good idea of what parmigiani fleurier is as a brand. Very informative. The watches themselves are okay, but I have my sights locked on to the Moser, as you know ;-)
I’ve never really thought about it but in this video I could really understand how much work and research goes into the design of a new watch when he talks about the color of the dial, how the position of the second influences the style etc. Super interesting! 👍🏼
very stunning watches I completely agree with him this is the definition of luxury. I really love this way of thinking
I love my Parmigiani watch. Amazing quality. One of the best brand for sure.
Don't make them too popular or I won't be able to find one! Beautiful watches.
Beautiful craftsmanship and simplistic design, I love it. I prefer this range to earlier models.
Absolutely wonderful watches, both esthetically and technically.
Amazing! Simply amazing! The 2-hander is just stunning, the annual calendar has me on the floor… how can we set up a meeting with this amazing guy! Maybe at the next Dubai Watch Week, I need to visit and explore this brand
Great episode Alex.
I must be one of the few who used to actually own a Parmigiani timepiece (regretfully sold it... ). There is some romantic flare about the brand that I've always been a fan of.
I have to admit that I'm not a big fan of the Tonda GT's very open dial---I still think the indices can remain minimal in design, but perhaps a bit larger in size. However, after watching the interview, now I understand the intention of this design choice.
A design doesn't have to convince everybody all the time. As long as it tells a story, there's a logic to back it up.
As a Tonda GT owner I can attest to the quality, finishing, comfort and beauty of these pieces.
Thanks for sharing! Most valuable feedback always comes from owners ... 😉
yes i watched this video , good conversation and described good about watch company and making , best wishes for watch company.
Thanks for sharing! Don’t miss the upcoming videos showing the manufacturing background of the brand!
Their design is simply elegant and understated. Real watch lover’s favourite i must say.
@@WatchAdvisor time n date one of course! This watch is all about the dial… the others are great too but approaching quite astronomical prices
Did you read my remark about the price for the time & date version? The correct price is 21.000 …
GOD BLESS YOU ALEXANDER. I HOPE ALL OF YOUR DREAMS COME TRUE. I HOPE YOU HAD THE BEST AND HAPPIEST CHRISTMAS OF YOUR ENTIRE LIFE. WOW! THEY ARE ALL ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL. 🙏
@@WatchAdvisor YOU ARE VERY WELCOME ALEXANDER. THOSE WATCHES ARE ABSOLUTELY BREATHTAKING MY FRIEND. 🙏
Alex what a beautiful video. Cannot wait for the others! I am now in love with the Tonda GP! I have a 17,5 wrist, do you think it would fit it well?
BREATHTAKINGLY STUNNING,!!!!!THERE ARE FEW WATCHES IN THE WORLD THAT COULD RIVAL THESE....MAYBE DE BETHUNE, LANGE AND KARI , BUT NO ONE ELSE COULD COME CLOSE......
Amazing watches. Time to shake up my collection…again.
Bravo! Congratulations! Which one do you have in mind? Let me know if you have any questions...
I think parmigiani fleuriers sports watches will trade for over retail or increase in value. Thnx for doing this one Alexander
That should not be the main goal though... First of all it is about emotions and NOT ratio... 😉
Not sure about the texture of the grey and blue dial, most likely better in person...but my favourite is the white split second.
I was looking forward to see the Tonda with a plain dial. I definitely prefer it indeed.
Thanks for sharing! You definitely have to see and try these watches in real… also be sure to see them in various light conditions… I am sure you will change your mind thereafter…
@@WatchAdvisor yes I have that feeling since the level of craftsmanship seems that high. And Guido always brings the vision.
Wow I really envy you! I really would have liked to do such a company tour. But you feed me with very good material to shorten my waiting time. I hope my Micro Rotor steel will arrive soon! And as promised , I will give feedback!
If you want to visit Parmigiani one day, please let me know... I will help you that your dream comes true... How long still do you have to wait?
@@WatchAdvisor Yes , I really would love to have a tour! The watch will hopefully arrive in February.
Love that Chronograph
I love chronographs that has 6 o'clock seconds sub dial
I was really a fan of their Tonda 19 collection but it seems they have discontinued the same. Is there any chance of reissue of the same?
Hi Alexander,do you think the tonda pf micro rotor is a dress watch rather than a sport watch?is it too casual to wear it with t-shirt?
The beginning BGM is TREMENDOUS,but i cannot find it myself, please push me the song, thx a lot
I will have a big problem if they kick the date window of the micro rotor..
The movements are very very well made. However i think the dials are too empty (on screen), especially the split-seconds white dial. Prefer their older texture dial designs.
Guido's approach is a more puristic one! Just look what he has very successfully done at Bulgari... Let us give him more time ... 😉
Tiny guilloche is a good idea, giving it a modern look. Perhaps the watches will look better if the bezels are not fluted. It puts the watches back into the classic mode. Perhaps, not even guilloche is needed.
Absolutely beautiful designs. The dials are gorgeous as are the bracelets. If I was to nitpick, I’d say the logo needs to be reworked. It’s small and vertical. I’ve also never been a fan of the oval border round their logo. I understand it was a conscious design choice to be discreet but it creates a vast empty space on the top half of the watch that’s unsettling to my eyes.
i'm back to watched this clip after i'm never ever interest of this watch's band before, because of it's a watch of collection by King Charles iii.
Great watches, but there are no half links or micro adjustments for a better fit.
@@tockingwatches2377 my mistake then. Turns out that the links themselves are like half links. This was feedback by an AD who wore the new perpetual calendar on his wrist.
You can actually perfectly adjust the bracelet to your wrist… what would top it though is a micro adjustment in the clasp…
@@wristperer I know what your AD means but there are actually half links right before the clasp. If I were to guess without measuring, I’d say they’re 2-3mm each.
Happy Australia Day😃🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺
Please let the watch manufacturers know we exist.
We will even try to pronounce those funny Europeanised names...well we will try😃
I love the brand, but designwise I think still they do not have the distinctive visual identity they should have. Except the hands, all the rest of the watch (despite the craftsmanship) is pretty generic. Really looking forward for more and distinctive models.
We will have to wait until Guido's influence affects more collections and the general direction where the brand is heading... only then we will know...
Wow..I knew these guys were good but these products are fantastic. Lets hope the flexers don't see this.
Thanks for sharing our passion! One question: What are flexers? Did you mean flippers?
@@WatchAdvisor flexers are the people showing of their watches on Instagram. The kind of people who buy high end watches but have no real appreciation for horology.
The (existence of the) date windows is probably the biggest missed chance of 2021.
@@WatchAdvisor Obviously. In this case I am very sad, that Guido's taste differs from mine! 😁
I like Parmigiano cheese.
@@WatchAdvisor Maybe the white chronograph with split-seconds, I have to admit that the movement is impresive.
If I had to design a perpetual calendar I would remove the case adjusters, everything should be adjusted with the crown, and increase the WR, I think of an owner wearing it in summer, swimming from a boat, ...
Beautiful bracelets and cases, but they are trying too hard. How about a three hand watch with no date?
There is no change without a certain radicalism... We will have to wait until Guido's influence affects more collections and the general direction where the brand is heading... only then we will know if he tried "too hard" ...
Great movements and great technology👌 BUT the watches looks like cheap fashion watches! That’s not my taste. The name Parmigiani remind me to Parmesano! Not a name for big watches!
Well, I completely disagree! What you think about design and name is meaningless… Sorry!
This CEO is really pushing the brand for a higher level, thank you sir for having him in 😊
IMPORTANT notice: the price of the steel version is wrong!!! We wrote 35.000 CHF in the video, but the correct price is 21.000 CHF. Apologies! This is the first video out of four... Looking forward answering your questions and reading your comments!
