you want the ceramic pots, their close-fitting, gasketed lids and the 50+ ceramic balls for the slingbow ASAP, making them takes a couple of days. so making and deploying the pontoon outrigger raft and ENOUGH of the netting have to come first. However, since it takes days to preciptate-out enough pure clay from shoreline mud and then to dry out that clay, you need to make it a priority to get the refining-pits dug and started doing their job. Making the kiln and the charcoal takes a day, too, if you do it all at once.. However, if you split up the time spent net-making/using the raft and the netting, after about a week or so, you can come to a mutual accomplishment of having enough fish to eat and having the pots to help you make water potable, cook the fish and cambium, store water, etc.

the tape lets you assemble the trianguar ends to the tent,, ets you strengthen the tieos for both tarps, lets you assemble the tarp and tape pants (3 pairs) assemble the backpack and the coveralls into debris-stuffed pontoons for the outrigger raft. Tape makes the dipper for removing boiled water and puting same into the tarp lined basked. It lets you assemble airtight storage bags for fire-kit and food storage bags.. Gorilla tape is a great fire extender, too Any punctures or tears in gear or clothing can be repaired effectively and swiftly with the tape.

if you dice-up, boil and then fry cambium (in fish oil) it's nutrition. Chew it up, let your saliva extract the starches and spit out the fibers Then no worries about locking up your guts. Before you use fish heads/guts as bait, boil that stuff. Let the water cool, maybe speeding up the process with cold rocks. The fats will congeal on the surface of the water, where you can skim them off. The shovel, minus its handle is a skillet, folks. Just use flame or boiling water, sand and hardwood ashes to clean it before and after cooking with it. Make the shovel and the modified Crunch mulittool able to be dis and re-assembled without tools. Remove the knife blade and hold it in the vise grip of the tool if u want the knife and tool to be more easily cleaned before and after using it on food. Swish the blade and vise grip in boiling water or wave them in flames for a bit. If this show was done in summer, none of them would last a month. They'd all have lethal doses of food poisoning.

the cotton rope hammock replaces the snarewire, gillnet, fishing kit and paracord. You dont need the cookpot or the ferrrod at all. The tyvek bivy is more useful than any sleeping bag, cause it's unaffected when it gets wet. the sleeping bags are ruined if that happens Dry debris, if you have ENOUGH Of it, is warmer than any sleeping bag. IF you can trap the air that's in the debris between two lsyers of tarp.. Pile dirt on the bottom edges of your tarp/pole tent and the air between the tarps Is trappped trapped air is what insulates you from the cold ,, wind and rain. The "stuffings" used just hold-apart the membranes insvoved, and they stop air movment between the membranes as with a leak, That air movement results in your getting cold. That's why, when it's cold, you hang the hammock only 5" off of the ground and kick debris under it, so no air can flow under you.

Set the bivy, etc, as "wings' on the ends of the baited weir, when it's time to use the seine, bring the wings in and stake them at a distance apart that the legal amount of netting will bridge. Then move the wings and the seine towards the weir. It's very easy to "swish" an arm or leg in front of you and make the fish move away from your area. Eventually, they have no choice but to end up in the weir, in 18" deep water. that's where you have to set it, so the fish are not so afraid of eagles, herons, lynx, wolves, etc, that prey on them in shallow water. Slam the gate shut on the weir and move the wings back around to the shore. They will probably trap fish between them and the shore, which you can then catch with the seine and a barbed spear. Always butcher your catch in the weir, so that the blood and guts serve as bait. You can make bait bags out of debris, and leave them tied to the inside of the weir.

A blonde walked into an electronics store and said to the salesmen: "I want that tv."
The salesperson shook his head and said, "No, we don't sell to blondes."
So the blonde left and came back with her hair dyed brown and said: "I'll take that tv."
Again the salesman said: "No, we don't sell to blondes."
So she left again and came back with her hair dyed black and said: "I want that tv."
But the salesman still said: "No, we don't sell to blondes."
Finally the blonde got fed up and said, "That's it! How'd you know I was a blonde?!" she asked.
The salesman answered: "Cause that's a microwave."

I"ve been told that because of my comments, there's been 5-6 changes to the rules on this show. Now you can only have just so much netting in the water. Ok, make the baited net weir out of sticks and stones. Use what's left of the tarp, your clothing, the bivy, etc, as "wings' on the end of the net-seine as you use "dead man" stakes to hold the ends as you advance the seine, driving the fish from 4 ft deep water into the weir. GUARANTEED to still catch a LOT more fish than active hook and line bs.

Nice on the changes. I thought one season had a size limit on the netting. Either way we'll done.

I think i'ts a Canadian law, actually. maybe that's why the ox torturer made his food cache so far from his shelter.. I'd have put the 200 lbs of meat that I didn't need out there, maybe, but the rest of it goes under my shelter, until it's cold enough to make the ice-igloo to store it in. It need not be all that big., so it doesnt take all that long to make it. . Just make a pile of debris, cover it with a tarp, put wet debris onto the tarp. Once one layer of debris freezes, you can just pour water onto the frozen debris, making a thick layer of ice. Repeat. the important thing is to have a 2m wide, 4" thick layer of ice "flashing" around the bottom of the igloo, so a polar bear cant just flip the thing over.

I truly thought Timba was going to be the champ after episode 2. Rusty was my runner up at the start, that guy just gave off the vibe that he was totally fine leaving everything for like a year with no problem.

Not me, I wasn't surprised. He had too much time to think. Too bad. He could have won, got his teeth fixed and gave away the rest of the money with a much brighter smile. I think he's going to regret his decision to tap (down the road). TT

People are just so ignorant. they cant imagine what you want "another' tarp for, much less the tape. well you can't cut up the producer's tarp, guys, or attach any tape to it or poke any holes in it. since you DO need to do those things in order to make a proper shelter you have to take your own (rellective) 12x12 tarp and use half of it to make your sleeping tent. The producer's 10x15 ft tarp is used to make a stand-up in it work pavilion for the frst month. Then it's used to cover the neded 6" thick layer of dry debris that you add to the outside of your sleeping tent (day 30). About day 60, the producers tarp, becomes a debris-stuffed sleeping bag and wet-frozen debris is used to cover the dry denbris on the sleeping tent. evergreen boughs replace the producers tarp on the frame of the work paviilion.

I'd put "no" on the application and I'd MEAN it. Sheesh. I'll worry about all that after I collect the clear 350k They will be either ok or they wont. There'd be nothing I could do about it if was home, either. My dad died when I was in prison and it would have changed nothing if I wasnt. I mean, what are you going to do? i"m not a heart surgeon.

all the excuses are just sour grapes by losers. There's nothing else to it, bro. They are just WEAK and ignorant about what to take and do.

biggest display of wussy I've ever seen and I hope I never see another. I've been locked in solitary confinement twice as long, several times, in an 8x12 cell. this is NOTHING, when you have plenty to eat. I thnk that not blowing off the unneeded hide and 200 lbs of meat, giving up 'the brain and the marrow of the big bones, over exertion played a part in his weakneess along with the usual mistaks of a week wasted on a shelter, 2-3 wweeks wasted on fire wood, and a week or more wasted on boiling 2 lousy qts of water at a time, 3x per day. I've been talking about stone boiling 5 gallons at a time, for years now, nobody listends. Aint that that obviously a savings of 10 hour per week? When you make a basket and shove a 3x3 ft hunk of tarp down into the basket, how is it going to leak? Roll up the top ends of the piece of tarp and tie, tape them. Nothing can get into the water, no evaporation
