We will have to continue to manage with the less favored XSR900 in the United States for 2025. It is not catastrophic, as the XSR900 is constructed on Yamaha's superior -09 chassis. In 2025, the largest XSR features a new five-inch TFT display, smartphone connectivity, selectable YRC ride modes, Yamaha's third-generation quickshifter, among other enhancements. Numerous modifications were initially implemented on the MT-09 for 2024.
The new Yamaha Ride Control (YRC) settings enable the selection of engine power characteristics and levels of computer intervention to accommodate varying situations or rider preferences. Three integrated riding modes are preconfigured for rapid selection: Sport, Street, and Rain, each tailored for distinct conditions. Furthermore, motorcyclists have the capability to design two personalized programs with customized settings to accommodate their tastes. The new Back Slip Regulator operates in tandem with the slipper clutch to mitigate rear wheel lock-ups by modulating the throttle bodies to diminish back torque. A speed-limiting feature is now available for the XSR900.
