I’ve visited Israel five times and spent over 60 days there. I’m not Jewish, just a regular Brit. Love Israel. It’s a really lovely place to visit and the people are refreshingly honest to the core and very hospitable.
I can honestly say I leave a little bit of my heart there whenever I come home.
The open air prison claim is a joke. Everything you discussed is good. I wouldn’t at the moment consider annexation because Palestinians are too radical right now. Maybe in a couple of generations when hopefully their Muslim brotherhood style Islam falls out of popularity.

The one against the British that culminated in the Jews bombing the King David hotel, or the 6 day war where Israel carried out a preemptive strike on June 5th. Among the most frequent and contentious accusations directed at Israel are those of "occupation" and "settler colonialism." These accusations often lead to the conclusion that Israel, as an occupying power, has no legal rights under international law to defend itself. Additionally, it is implied that Jewish inhabitants of Judea and Samaria (commonly referred as West Bank) have no legal residency in these areas. These allegations are not only frequent but also profoundly misguided and completely unfounded in fact.
It is a common and widely spread misconception that Israel's 1948 Declaration of Independence was predicated on the 1947 General Assembly Partition Resolution 181(II). This belief is not factually accurate. The resolution was not adopted under Chapter 7 of the United Nations Charter and, consequently, did not possess legally binding force. Moreover, the resolution's outright rejection by the Arab League rendered it effectively null and void.
The establishment of the State of Israel was fundamentally based on the universal principle of international law known as 'uti possidetis juris.' This principle dictates that newly formed sovereign states should inherit the internal borders of their preceding sovereign entities. In Israel's case, this included the borders of the British Mandate for Palestine, encompassing the Gaza Strip, the City of Jerusalem, Judea, and Samaria. Therefore, upon adopting its Declaration of Independence, the State of Israel legitimately acquired title over these territories. Another fundamental principle relevant to the creation of the State of Israel is the equal applicability of law.
It is necessary to recognize that the legal principle 'uti possidetis juris,' originating in Roman Law, has been applied multiple times over the past two centuries, providing a legal foundation for the creation of various state entities, including Syria, Jordan, and Lebanon. Consequently, denying Israel its rightful status based on the 'uti possidetis juris' principle could jeopardize the statehood and legitimacy of many United Nations member states. No international legal entity would permit such a precedent.
As a result of the belligerent and illegal invasion by Arab forces in 1948, the Gaza Strip, Judea, Samaria, and East Jerusalem were occupied by Egypt and Jordan. This occupation led to the ethnic cleansing of the Jewish population and the desecration or destruction of Jewish cemeteries and synagogues. During the 1967 war, instigated by Egypt and Jordan, Israel reclaimed these territories and reinstated its rightful ownership over them.
Contrary to widely regurgitated assertions, the movement of 700,000 Israelis to Judaea and Samaria was not a result of governmental relocation efforts. This is a crucial consideration in the context of Article 49 of the Fourth Geneva Convention, which pertains to the deportation or transfer of populations. It is widely acknowledged that these individuals were driven by their personal ideologies and religious beliefs, choosing to settle in these regions of their own volition. Indeed, many Jews from various countries have pursued their aspiration to establish a Jewish presence in areas of historical and religious significance, such as Judea and Samaria. Consequently, labeling these individuals as 'illegal occupiers' or 'colonizers,' and suggesting that the Israeli government 'forced' them into these areas, is a profound mischaracterization of the situation. Such descriptions fail to recognize the autonomous decision-making and personal motivations that underlie their settlement in these regions.
    Let me recap:
    1. Israel is the rightful owner of all lands and territories of the former British Mandate of Palestine as of 1948.
    2. Israel has full legal rights for self-defense.
    3. Accusations of "settler colonialism" are without merit.
    3. 700,000 Israeli villagers have a perfect legal foundation to reside in Judea and Samaria.

@@nosuchthing8 You know what people ignore? The fact that when the land was partitoned in 1947, the land had been controlled by Egypt, not the Palestinians. Prior to 1947 Jews legally purchased great plots of land to prepare for the incoming Jews from Europe. The landowners were faiirly compensated and were satisfied with the sales. Then when the land was partitioned many Jews were forced to leave their homes and go to Israel. It was not just the Palestinians that had to resettle. Many Muslims chose to stay and become Israeli citizens.
The Palestinians refused the partition and declared war on Israel. By the way, Israel has never started any wars, ever. The Palestinians lost that war. but from 1947 until Oct 7th the Palestinians have relentlessly been bombing ansd attacking the border region. There have been Israeli casualties. In 1947, the Palestinians and later Hamas have sworn to fight until every Israeli is gone.
The attack on Oct 7th saw a savage and violent attack on Israelie's and young people from all over the world attending a concert. People were slaughtered, young girls and women were savagely and brutally raped then beheaded so they would not survive. Babies, children, women and men were beaten so badly, their broken bodies unnable to survive. This attack was so horrible the media would not cover it other than to say people were attacked and there were casualties.

Instead all the foreign aid is taken by Hamas doing nothing for the Palestinian people. When they were given Gaza it was a booming region, economically. Now they have 85 % unemployment and pretty much zero industry and no economy. This is not Israeli's fault. Hamas leaders are worth 11 billion dollars. They pocket everything and use the victimization of Palestinians to instigate pity from western countries that believe their lies and send billions of dollars in aid every year. Then they get millions from UN. Billions from Iran, Qatar, Erdogan Turkey every single year for many years. Not to mention the 30 % odd of taxes they receive from Palestinians and from Egypt and Israel. Gaza in view of this should be rich! Also, add to that the billions they make from illegal smuggling in their underground tunnels under Gaza / West Bank that surface in Egypt and Israel. This theft of aid seems to be ignored by pro - Palestinians.

Yonatan Doan said "the israelis are weak", I personally think calling Arabs "Palestinians" is weak. It enforces the idea that they are a separated ethnic group (they don't speak a separate language and don't have a separate set of beliefs). Arabs in what was shortly called "Mandate of Palestine" got 3/4 of the land in Jordan, where no Jew is to be found. Exclusively calling "Palestinians" the Arabs that weren't ready for a swap in the remaining 1/4 Jewish land is fueling their cause to get the only tiny Jewish country in the world to build instead a 23rd Arab country in the region.
If there was an Arab Nakba (700k displaced people) there was a bigger Jewish Naka (900k displaced) within the territories of the Ottoman Empire. The descendants of these Jews make the majority of Israeli Jews today. Why aren't they receiving any compensation and international aknowledgement?
While Israel is home for 2.2 million Israeli Arabs, you can hardly find a Jew alive in the 50+ Muslim countries.

The Nakba lie is in big part a result of an even more heinous lie: Deir Yassin.
In an attempt to secure the road to Jerusalem, a force of Etzel and Lechi fighters went to conquer the village and remove armed forces from it.
Poor planning caused higher civilian casualties than anticipated, despite the Jewish force usage of loudspeakers to warn the civilians of the imminent attack.
However, the head of the Arab Higher Committee in Jerusalem, Hussein Fakhri al Khalidi, made the survivors spread the false allegations of rape and other extreme abuses (like cutting a fetus out of a pregnant woman), in order to increase support for their cause.
These false stories spread amongst the Arab population, and many who believed the stories were true ran away in fear of the Jews.
The Deir Yassin lie influenced many Arabs to flee. That flight became the Nakba lie.
Moreover, the Deir Yassin lie is still being repeated as a blood liable about Israel.

    Warsaw ghetto in 1942
    area - 1.3 square miles
    population - 400,000

Where is there the most room for Gazans?

Slovenes lived in the Austrian Empire; after the collapse of this empire, the Slovenian state exists (language, traditions, sovereignty). After the collapse of the Ottoman Empire, which was home to more than a million Jews at that time, Israel exists. European Jews can still claim restitution for expensive buildings in the center of European capitals and money in Swiss banks, and by the way, Israel has never refused to pay restitution to the Arabs for the mud huts they abandoned. I don’t wear around my neck the key to the stone house from which the Cossacks drove my great-grandfathers out, I came to Israel without money and started everything from scratch. and through hard work and study I achieved everything.

I knew a Palestinian doctor who I had a good relationship with, he told me that something he noticed when he was last in Gaza and in Hebran and Judea was that the Christians he noticed there they seemed as if they were happy to be there. But he said looks were deceiving he noticed that when he asked about friends he had who were Christians the ones that when he asked about them to some of the moslems they didn't know who he meant. And when he went to their homes they likewise were gone but their home was being taken over by people not related to the ones he knew. He said the only genocide he noticed there were Christians not moslems.

The haven't debunked anything but instead repeated myths that Israel defeated six Arab armies. If you want the TRUTH you must read the military archives from 1948. You will learn that Israeli forces began the ethnic cleansing of Palestinians in February 1948 well before May when the British left and the U.N.partitioned Palestine. It was the massacre of Palestinians that led the Arabs to move into Palestine and prevent a genocide.Britain also had military pacts with Egypt and Jordan to enable the Palestinians to escape to Gaza and the West bank. The Israeli forces at the time wanted all of Palestine but the Arabs and the military pacts prevented such a thing happening. The fact of the matter Israel can keep telling itself myths which won't lead to peace and nearly brought it to WW3. Or it can accept the truth and accept a peace with the Palestinians i.e. share the land.

Also the term "occupied" is perhaps misleading as it implies under occupation by a hostile army. So people dont really understand the terms "occupied" or " blockade" as applied to the Palestine territories. Wikipedia uses the word occupation repeatedly for the West Bank.

They have marchers when they scream genocidal threats and shoot everywhere. There's so much terror there, there are a lot of telegram groups who share those terrorists footage and videos. Settlers only have weapons if they have a licence to it and purchase it themselves, they don't receive it from the army, they have rifles mostly and they don't kill anyone, them, their wives and children are being shot at on the road on a daily basis and sometimes Palestinians invade their towns and villages to murder them, they have to be armed for self protection. Palestinians there try and do kill jews all the fucking time, they Lynch them and burn their fields. You will get lynched and brutally murdered if you step inside Tul Karem or Jenin wearing anything which could identify you as a Jew. The "Palestinians" there want to genocide jews, they're heavily armed and try to kill jews everyday this is why they don't have an Israeli citizenship because they will use it to destroy Israel and kill its jews, they don't live under the Israeli government, but under the Palestinian authority, they have the ID and passport of the Palestinian Authority. You will be ashamed of yourself if I could send you here the videos of the Palestinian terror swamps of the West Bank. They publish posters calling to kill jews and showing a stabbed or a dead jew. The Palestinian authority pays a good monthly salary to baby killers because they killed jews, men who stabbed babies and toddlers to death like the Awad brothers are considered heroes. They film themselves shooting nonstop to jewish villages. It's not hidden. do your fucking research. Only the houses of convicted murdurers of civilians are destroyed, this is because their society produces so many killers or attempting killers that it's a way to try to reduce the killings- if you stab to death a 17 year old in a gas station you will get your house ruined. 3. over 70% of people in gaza support hamas.
    4. hamas like hisbulla, houtsie, etc are arms of irgc.
    5. qatar is guilty of proving shelter and money laundering facility for terrorists. why we are not talking about it?
    6. bds is well financed, therefore addressing them require money which we don't have
    7. qatar is heavily investing in our education institutions. "funny" enough that palestinian are investing in it too (much lower than qatar, but where is the money coming from? UNWRA)
    8. unwra schools employ teachers who are openly hamas members.
    9. why supply "free" electricity and water? it's immortal to spend taxpayers' money on aiding enemies (check hamas charter).
    10. by now everyone knows the meaning of chants and slogans. no more excuses.
overall, refugee status - real or not isn't passed from generation to generation indefinitely, unless you indentify as Palestinian. why?

Alternative views are important, but the important question is to assess the truth and validity of all the claims that are made. And if propaganda is used by either side then it makes it doubly impossible to know what on earth is going on. That’s why people left to make common sensible views unfortunately in this case because there’s a lot of life people find that impossible to deal with quite understandably. We need to understand that this is an emotive subject and the media is constantly trying to pull out our heartstrings and no one is really allowed to think about what is actually happening for instance the statistics that the health agency produces academic articles have shown that these statistics are completely fabricated. No one is brave enough to say this because they’re afraid of being accused of being callous. However, if one side is making up figures then that is another crime.
