So we have the natural world in upheaval with disaster after disaster, and in unusual place.
Politically -
US prophecied as 2nd beast which makes an image to the first beast (Papal Rome).
US would be recognized in 1798 then slowly, slowly grow to a worldwide power and control other nations - that took place.
US would make an image to the beast - it would ensconce the teachings and press those on the world -- yes.
Then power would once again shift over to Papal Rome (Rev. 17:9-13) - they are right now destroying the United States. in all the preceding 7 beasts described, when a new power comes up it takes down the preceding power.
They are tearing apart the United States with Both hands.
They will be putting into place the Sunday laws soon (already started in parts of the world), they are already ready to start with a digital dollar and even social credit system; which allows them to create a 'no-buy no-sell" for those that are keeping the commandments of God. And the Protestant churches are fully in-bed with Papal Rome and espousing Jesuit doctrines (deceptions as to: state of the dead, the second coming, ghosts, and demons, even about the perpetuity of the commandments) instead of the pure Word of God.
And yet the world is just as it was in the time of Noah (Matt. 24:37-38) - they are eating and drinking and carrying on business as usual in a society that is morally corrupt and decadent - knowing not that the time of visitation draweth nigh. [[ Reminds me of what Billy Graham's wife Ruth said once when she was in San Francisco California - she said something to the effect that "if Jesus doesn't come back soon, He is going to have to apologize to Sodom". ]]

The disapointment is a hard pill to swallow but I still hold ferm for the secord coming of Christ.
People killer themselves. There were murder/ suicide tragedies. People were placed in insane asylums. Miler was harmful to people’s health. He was a false prophet.
What a legacy! THIS is the message I was born in and raised, share and believe. I know no other. Three generations of my family hold this to be true God's Holy Scriptures and the Spirit of Prophecy.

William Miller was the founder, the trailblazer. He set the stage for Adventism as a new religion. I’m not Adventist, but much respect to him.

Revelation speaks of us seeing Jesus and the angels coming. Jesus came the first time and died for us. When The second coming happens every eye will see Him.
Merceline, I want you to know that Jesus is indeed going to return. When that is exactly I do not know. Our world is becoming as one big Sodom and Gomorrah. He didn't destroy them right away. But their sins built up to a point where it had to be destroyed. The Lord is allowing us to see why he destroyed it during the flood. Hang on, sister... there will be revival.

The fever of date setting christ return? That date setting was the fever sadly. Too bad Christians dont read the bible for themselves otherwise they wouldn't have fallen for the false prophecy in 1844. And interesting is even after all that and the disappointment, ellen g white continued the fraud by supporting hiram Edisons "vision" (oh so many special people had "visions") about apartments, which she spun the whole failure into more non biblical heresies that have sda blind to this day. She actually blamed God for making them think they had the right date of jesus return. Then she came up with the shut door prophecy which failed. So she then cracked that door open, then swung it wide open.....failure after failure.

The noble spirit of William Miller & Adventists fills my heart with hopefulness. I am an African Adventist Baha’i. The Adventist Christianity in me is that Ellen White’s health counsels are part of my daily living. The Baha’i in me constitutes of my participation in building Christ’s Kingdom on earth. I am caught up in speeding up the process of Christ’s coming so that “all eyes” can see Him in clouds.

Exactly, and after the failed prophecy, they resulted to even more bizarre reinterpretation with "holiest of holy place" nonsense; Jesus said "it is finished" but this bizarre holy of holiest place doctrine says no, Jesus' ministry on earth was incomplete and that on 10/22/1844, Christ went to the holiest of holy place to complete his atonement sacrifice; meanwhile the man himself is reported to have said on the cross "it is finished"😳

Whose blood is used in the Heavenly Sanctuary to cleanse it?
A little more understanding is necessary here by all who do not understand.
In the old testamen there was a "type" of the Tabernacle of the Earthly Sanctuary that took place on Earth which was symbolic of what would later take place in the Heavenly Sanctuary.
Once a year the Earthly Sanctuary would be cleansed from all the daily sacrificial blood & defilement from man's sins including the Earthly Priest's sins which had been transferred from the blood offered & that had been applied in the Holy Place right beyond the courtyard on the Veil to cover "all" men who had confessed their sins. This blood was sprinkled on the Veil between the Holy Place & the Most Holy Place each day at the morning & evening sacrifices at 9:00 .a.m. & 3:00 p.m.
On the Biblical Day of Atonement each year a final atonement was made to remove the sins from the Earthly Tabernacle & those in the Hebrew camp including the sins that were committed that day; they were cleansed by the blood brought by the High Priest from offering sacrifices for himself, the people & the Earthly Sanctuary. If any sins were unconfessed, the Priest could die. No record was ever reported of the priest dying in the Earthly Sanctuary.
After the Earthly sacrifices ended at Jesus death and after His resurrection, 10 days before Pentecost, He ascended to heaven after the completion of His work & death on the cross stating "IT IS FINISHED," He would begin the next phase of His ministry as a High Priest in the Holy Place in the Heavenly Sanctuary.
For 1800 years, Jesus continued to perform his Priestly duties in the Heavenly Sanctuary in the Holy Place.
In the Book of Daniel, Daniel 8:14, it says Unto 2300 days then shall the sanctuary be cleansed.
Anyone that has ever lived and committed themselves to Christ have sins that have been transferred to the Heavenly Sanctuary in the Holy place.
After much prayer and study, it had been discovered by William Miller and the other pioneers at that time that the Great Day of Atonement and the final cleansing of the Heavenly Sanctuary would begin taking place on October 22nd 1844. The Earth having existed approximately 6,000 years, the announcement of this cleansing was a warning to those on the earth that Jesus as our High Priest would finally cleanse the Heavenly Sanctuary from ALL sin in the Most Holy Place beyond the Veil & would come to claim his people on Earth that had accepted this final cleansing for them.
All the answers to questions or doubts can be found in the scriptures. Hebrews is another place to find some answers.
Praying in Jesus Name you will find the truth needed to guide you into the path of righteousness.
Correct interpretation is "no man telleth" but my Father in heaven. Jesus knows.
@@sandramills1133 Answer: The heavenly sanctuary is spiritual, not a literal stone building. Believers are the temple of of the living God, made without hands, of lively stones! God lives in us. His blood is applied to us and cleanses us. Believers are the heavenly sanctuary (heavenly Jerusalem)! Jesus is our High Priest. His Holy Spirit dwells in us. His blood cleanses our hearts and minds as we walk in the Spirit by faith. Jesus doesn't keep the Mosaic laws inside of a first covenant type temple in heaven.
Seventh-Day Adventists think to change times and laws by denying that the Messiah has already come, and so they reject the new covenant and insist on keeping the law of Moses, and think Jesus does the same in heaven.
Believers are no longer under the yoke of bondage to the Mosaic Law, but we are commanded to keep the law of Christ, which is by faith. His yoke is easy and his burden is light.
God made a covenant with Abraham by faith. The Mosaic covenant was our schoolmaster to bring us to Christ. Now those who are in Christ are in covenant with God by faith, like Abraham. God wants us to come to him through faith in his Son, not through our own works of righteousness via the law of Moses. The Sinai covenant was temporary. God's covenant with us through Christ is eternal. The law of Moses is not of faith in the blood of Christ, but they lived by their earthly sacrifices of bulls and goats in their earthly temple and etc - all which foreshadowed Christ, which things he fulfilled at his crucifixion; not in a temple in heaven, but in us who live by faith in his blood atonement. Therefore, law of Moses and the law of Christ cannot be combined. They are separate laws, with separate blood atonements. By faith in Jesus Christ we enter into rest: faith which worketh by love is the law of Christ.

There is no sabbath. Shabbat Ethel first sacred feast listed in Leviticus 23. Followed by Passover Day of Atonement. Feast of first fruits, feast of trumpets, and at this Christmas season Hanukkah is happening, which Jesus celebrated as a Jewish man. Jesus is not your example, he’s almighty God and redeemer. Are you observing the Feast of Lights? How about the rest of the sacred Jewish feasts. The entire Jewish system was obliterated at Calvary. It’s gone. It was a shadow. God had absolutely no need to tell William Miller. Miller was completely out of the will of God.
@@southernyankee2300 first stone is about moral character flaws. That’s not the same as being a heretical false prophet. False prophets were stoned to death in the days of real prophets. God spoke once and for all through his son. No further message necessary.

It’s a shame that scholars were not well versed in Judaism and ancient Hebrew and Aramaic. Then come the Dead Sea Scrolls about one hundred years later, but many were called to repentance back then. A good thing! I assume they missed the scripture that “no one knows the day or hour of the Lords return.”
"Christianity" was so corrupted by Rome 1,300 years ago that "Christians" were forced to reject Jews, the very people Christ came from. Christ's first followers were Jews! Rome created a great chasm between Judaism, the original Word of the Almighty, and the paganized version of "Chritianity" created by Rome. We lost our connection from the source of our salvation, and then Romanized "Christians" abandoned or were no longer even allowed to read the Bible because the Roman "church" forbade it on pain of death. Now we have to find our way back, and more and more sincere seekers are doing that. In the meantime, traditional churches have been built on the false, paganized Roman version- they are all just spin-offs of Rome. Seek the truth, ask the Father to let His Spirit teach us His Word instead of relying on these traditional "pastors, preachers and priests", and we will find the Way, the Truth, and the Life. As Paul said, the early believers met in each other's homes, and they all participated in sharing, not a building where everyone has to sit and keep silent while one man holds forth and you can't even comment or question. Christ was available for anyone to approach him and talk to him, but try that with your typical "pastor" and see what reaction you get. The truth will set us free.

There is a saying, "The atheist can’t find God for the same reason that a thief can’t find a policeman." Perhaps the same could be said for wolves in sheep's clothing. They can't seem to ever find God's word, and are constantly revising it.

I am glad to be a Seventh Day Adventist. The great disappointment of 1844 opened the eyes of truth seekers to more spiritual insights and lo the Seventh Day Adventist church was born.

Nothing before its time. I guess we just have to do our do & be diligent. It is a very depressing world we live in, but we have to be grateful and seek God continously. The life of a Christian is not an easy one once you have truely made up your mind.

It they don’t keep watch they reject the nearness by quoting this verse to say you cannot know the signs of his return
Thank you for this documentary. It was inspired by God but there was a part of it that God did not reveal: the cleansing of the Sanctuary happened in heaven. It was to test the faith of the Philadelphians. Right now, Jesus is truly coming soonest in person in the clouds of heaven to take His people home.

There was some truth in what the Millerites were saying i.e. we should live as though Christ was coming back today. Deny the world and not put our hope in the world . It is an attitude of a lifestyle that puts no trust in things . A bride waiting for her groom does not only live in chastity on the day the groom is coming or the week he is about to come but through out the waiting else she is an adulterer . That is our Lords expectation .
Regarding a date , even the Bible says we should not waste our time on such speculations . The rest of the resultant teachings to justify the miscalculation based on visions of individuals like Ellen G White , are also wrong
It is amazing to see how someone like Miller that started off right got his doctrine mixed up. Big lesson for us all .
Ellen White's visions did not justify the miscalculation but explained why the Millerites were allowed to err. Personally, I am grateful for the error as it paved the way for the full unveiling of what both the Old and New Testaments teach about Jesus' High Priestly ministry and how important it is that end-time believers understand it. Earth's day of Atonement is rapidly approaching, Satan is keenly aware of it and, because of this, we need to be watchful with our all as everything that will cause us to lose salvation is being put in place.

The Investigative Judgement teaching from Daniel 8:14 by Ellen G White of Jesus’s High Priestly Ministry is another error built on William Millers previous error. Issues like the forgotten unconfessed sin will stand against us in judgement are contrary to Roman 5 , that the Investigative Judgement vindicates the character of God is also contrary to Roman 3:25 , that the repentant believer is placed in probation until the judgment is completed etc. are all false teachings yet the investigative judgement teaching is a key pillar of the SDA church.

The blessed hope of the ages (Jesus coming back at the 2nd Coming) will be anything but secret (Rev. 1:7; Matt 24:7; 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17).
The Second Coming of Jesus will be the culminating event (which is soon to occur) that will result in the resurrection of the dead, and the transportation of those that are still living. It can't be long, it is only a matter of time before the gospel goes to the whole world (Matt 24:14) before the end comes.
Then comes the 1,000 years where the righteous reign with Christ during this time (Revelation 20:4-10).

They didn't understand that the earthy was a model of the one in heaven, and Christ our High Priest moved into the most holy place in heavenly sanctuary to interseed on our behalf before the Father. The Lord allowed them to be disapointed and there was a great falling away, but for those few who trusted and loved the Lord searched the scriptures and found understanding and beautiful Bibical truths shown to them. William Miller was used by God to awake the people to preach soon coming, much like John the Baptise, and disciples. We know the year, but we don't yet know the day or the hour. The 2520, 2300 and 1260 are connected to an end time 3 Caesars of Daniel 11. But for simplicities sake, Jesus' ministry began 27AD with His baptism and finished 31AD. Add 2000 years to that and you will get the dates for the Tribulation.

It is a strange mystery to me why men and women keep falling for the date setters over and over. One person puts together a few historical facts in a manner that seems "bibllical" then get so many disciples and followers and funders. Why has no one learned the meaning of Acts 1:7? DUH? Whisenant 1988 Harold Egbert Camping 2011 Yet I suppose the creepiest predictions of the gloom and doom of mankind along with the second coming come not so much from those that have some historical "Biblical" date setting number scheme but from the immutable physical laws of the universe such as celestial mechanics. NASA keeps track of asteroids and comets that could slam the earth in an extinction level event. They call then NEO's or Near Earth Objects. What made me fear was not any Bible scheme but rather it was Terral Croft also known as Terral03 on the internet. The idea that there was some huge planet or brown dwarf star had a huge elliptical orbit which was going to regularly intersect after thousands of years with the Sun and the inner planets which might be survivable to those that prepared cities and shelters deep underground within high mountains really seemed quite plausible theory. Astronomers told us that there were relatively few stars that did not have a partner. The old saying "every pot has a lid" well most star systems are binary in one fashion or another. The idea that the Sun has a brown dwarf partner in a huge elliptical orbit is far from implausible Large asteroids and rogue moons planets and stars follow paths that are follow well known celestial laws. That perhaps there are a few scenarios that could easily wipe out most of mankind from the surface of the earth yet allow the most wealthy to survive along with all the knowledge we have accumulated was a thought too painful to me. To see most of mankind perish while a few super rich |3 /\ $ + /\ |\ |) $ who for centuries made the rest of us all slaves to their whims would be able to survive in their caves and dens in the rocks was just too painful to imagine. I also suppose if NASA really found out anything along the lines of an extinction level event would they tell us or would they cover it all up and only tell an elite few MENSA class people? Would they try to cover it all up until all us outsiders found out too late? Might they use chemtrails to fog the skies in order that no amateur astronomer could see the incoming until it was too late to make cover or take cover? Yet these would have a heads up that they would conceal from most of us. Yet this does raise legitimate questions concerning just what magnitude of catastrophic events might happen BEFORE JESUS RETURNS or if you will any rapture of the saints (if that indeed is a legitimate Biblical prophetic concept or simply a poorly constructed eschatological and ecclesiological invention of what some interpret as mystery doctrine). What then could happen decades or even centuries long before Jesus returns or appears? To have any event that sweeps away six or seven billion souls to their judgment while the second coming of Jesus Christ is nowhere near the horizon of the end of human history would seem to disprove the Bible almost fully ESPECIALLY if it is predictable and detectable as is an astronomical event. It would seem to me to be absurd if some virus wiped out multiple billions of souls or global thermonuclear war or some easily foreseen celestial impact while Jesus still did not appear and allowed human history to continue for more millennia. Yet the Bible does not discuss the possible destructive magnitude of any given catastrophe BEFORE THE FATHER PUTS IN HIS OWN AUTHORITY and POWER. It then is remarkable that the Bible appears to be silent about this topic.
Just a quick question; These folks set a time without one of the most important parameters of The Lord Jesus Christ's appearing not having been accomplished in 1844.? The return of Israel to become a nation again (May 14, 1948) after approximately 2,000 years which has never happened before in the history of the world. The scripture says that, the generation that sees that occur will not pass away until ALL of the things prophesied in Matthew 24 have taken place.

Specifically for this case, the phase of the priests were working in the holy place all year until the Day of Atonement, then God instructed the high priest alone would enter into the most holy place only once a year? Then it would all be repeated the next year?

One other point. The SDA theology has God OUTSIDE of the Most Holy Place and then 1800 years after Christ's death has them on a joint throne rolling into the MHP. A. Nowhere does the Bible say this B. You have the Most Holy God and the sacrificed one displaced for 1800 years
Furthermore when Jesus died the vail was ripped in 2, thereby making only ONE ROOM or ONE Holy Place and we can now boldly by faith in Christ approach the throne of God where only the High Priest could have done that before.
The High Priest had to go thru the outer court all the way through the Holy Place to the Most Holy Place. Jesus at the cross said it is finished and He upon His ascension went to the presence of the Father and sat down. The only furniture in the Most Holy Place was the ark the throne of God. Jesus didn't sit down on ordinary furniture He sat down by the Father on His throne because His work was done.

The majority of churches today are taught from Futurism. A Catholic (Jesuit) concocted bible view used to counter the reformation.
My belief, after research, is that God used Ellen to return to old ways. They’d been lost through Futurism. SDA thought I’d not need nor OC their own doing. Their doctrines were of old and still carried in part through several denominations. Baptists gave us baptism by submersion. 7th Day Baptists gave us 7th Day Sabbath. Then sincere followers of Jesus would study each doctrine thoroughly. Ellen White did not announce the doctrines. It was through diligent bible study.
Her visions etc were given when the men would get stuck and God would provide a scripture to give them a direction. Not a destination. Bible study provided the final destination
If people would just research this and quit going by what others say. I did. And I don’t regret it.

If God sent Ellen to restore the old ways, ways that were breached by new versions of theological thought, then like the pharisees, set in there (unknown to them) new ways. The old was lost. They killed the messiah. They were looking for an earthly world leader to come. Etc they missed the boat. And even had Jesus killed. I can provide the history of the creation and movement of Futurism of which modern Christian churches believe. There were reasons it was created. It didn’t hit Christian thought until the mid 1800’s.

The Rapid Rise of Futurism - and Dispensationalism based on it
At the time of the Reformation, Catholic theologians were looking for a way to deflect the Protestant conclusions that the Papacy historically fulfilled the signs of the Antichrist. One way of doing this was to contend that the Antichrist should be understood not as a historical figure, but as a future one, not yet on earth. “Futurism” was the basic idea the Catholics advanced. It is an idea that eventually caught on among Protestants.
Francisco Ribera (1537-1591) wrote a commentary on Revelation in 1585. It advocated futurism. Manuel De Lacunza (1731- 1801), a Jesuit from Chile, wrote a treatise (with a Jewish penname in effort to gain wider acceptance among Protestants) that also reflected futurism.
Edward Irving (1792-1834), Scottish clergyman (Pentecostal) translated & added discourse to Lacunza’s work. Margaret McDonald, through visions in early 1830s (at approximate age 15) had the idea of a “secret rapture” of believers prior to appearance of Antichrist. The idea was promoted by her pastor, Edward Irving. Samuel R. Maitland (1792-1866) used his influence as librarian to Archbishop of Canterbury to promote futurism blended with dispensationalism.
John Nelson Darby (1800-1882) visited Margaret McDonald & Edward Irving, accepted both futurism and secret rapture concepts, systematized dispensational thought and brought it to America with some success. Cyrus Ingerson Scofield (1843-1921), greatly influenced by writings of Darby, incorporated Futurist notes into his Scofield Reference Bible (first published in 1909). Through this Bible Futurism gained acceptance into many Christian homes and many Protestant Bible schools.
Today, major Protestant organizations endorse Futurism & Dispensationalism:
Dallas Theological Seminary (via Lewish Sperry Chafer (1871-1952) and alumni: John Walvoord, Chuck Swindoll, Charles C. Ryrie, Hal Lindsey, Kenneth Taylor, Thomas Ice [with Tim LaHaye]

Jesus Christ is coming for the second time, no doubt about it, however the Bible is clear to emphasize that NOBODY WOULD KNOW THE DAY OR THE HOUR, not even the Angels in Heaven … there have been many failed predictions about the end of the World. They are just that … failed predictions. We should live our lives as pleasant to God as we can, read and abide by the Bible every day, I try to do this in as much as I can (KJV). After the Bible was completed, more than 2000 years ago there is no more prophesy, As clearly stated in the Book of Revelations. Do not believe any preacher blindly, always check them out with the Bible.

I want to know that he will fulfill his promise to us that he is coming back to take us home and I rely on the promise and the hope.
What I take the end of the 2300 day( equals a year) prophecy to mean is that for us on earth as believers Christs work in the ( sanctuary of our hearts and minds) is to be put first above earthly religions and denominations over which man wants to be our rulers. That Christ will be our high priest and only Christ. Not the imaginations of our own minds or anyone elses. And for Him alone we wait and occupy until He splits open the sky above us and the earth below us to harvest His people, His own!

William Miller predicted the fulfillment of Daniel 8:13-14 for the year 1843, he was correct.
In the spring of 1844 which according to the Hebrew calendar can be included in 1843, Rachel Oaks persuaded Frederic Wheeler and his congregation to change to the Seventh Day Sabbath.
"tawmeed quodesh tsadaq" in Daniel 8:13-14 correctly interpreted is "Perpetual Holy Sabbath will be Restored."

They had the right event but the wrong place. The prophecy referred to the heavenly sanctuary which God had shown to Moses in order for him to have a pictorial understanding of the dimensions of the earthly sanctuary. Most importantly that we know there is a temple in Heaven where Jesus has been mediating before the Father on humanity's behalf but which will soon end.
Why did the Millerites not pay attention to Matthew 24:36 is anyone's guess! It does highlight the importance of allowing scripture to interpret scripture. If they had done this, they would have realised that it was not the earthly sanctuary but the heavenly sanctuary. But they were sincere and the Lord was merciful to them; they were on the right track. Their error did cause America to wake up to the fact that Jesus' second coming was near and I believe this is one of the reasons why God allowed them to make the mistake.
The mistake also eventually weeded out those who were ready to reject truth because of an error. The Apostle Paul thought Jesus was going to return in His time - do we reject all he said up to that time because he initially erred in his thinking? God will use an error to weed out those who are not sincere, who will not prayerfully and patiently search the bible and endure until the truth becomes clear.
To add to all the reasons given above for the disappointment:
The Millerites had still retained the error from Catholicism that the earth was the sanctuary to be cleansed. Yet the earthly sanctuary had ended since Christ's death & resurrection. There was no earthly sanctuary except the heavenly sanctuary where Christ ascended
This reveals to us, that when we cherish any false teaching or error, our eyes are blinded to some very clear facts in the Bible.
This disappointment was prophesied in Rev.10: 8-10.The little book that was sweet in the mouth but bitter in the belly.
Rev.10:11: shows that they were to prophesy again.
But God had other reasons for the disappointment especially the shaking out the less persevering ones, as already stated earlier.
Patience is the fruit of the Spirit. Gal.5:22..

I will admit John 3:19 confirms the testimony in Galatians 3:19 and Titus 3:3.
October 22 1844, was the end of a period of time; the 2300 prophetic day's of Daniel 8:14. Revelation 10:1-10 describes this event, including the disappointment. The last verse of Revelation 10 states; "You must Prophesy again......" There is another much larger period of time shown in the Bible; The 6,000 years of the Everlasting Covenant, which the Apostle Peter explains as the correct meaning of the Creation account given by Moses, almost 1,000 years after the flood. A serious study of this much larger period of time, shows that the 6,000 years of sin will end 2,000 years after the Cross, 2031. shalom.
Nonsense. The SDA organization does not correspond to the movement described in Rev chapter 10.
The movement there was full of the Spirit of Christ which would mean courageous and equal respect for all races .
The SDA was then and still to this day racist and treats blacks as 2nd and 3rd class citizens.
A group with a real knowledge of the full Gospel would have clear understanding on the Godhead not the confusion and semi-Arianism that plagues the SDA denomination to this day.

Jesus Christ, the Word made flesh, who dwelt among us John 1:1 & 1:14, who is the very word of God stated that he knew not the day nor the hour that the Father had established for his return Mark 13:32-33. It would stand to reason that this date cannot be deduced from the scriptures, as it also is the Logos, the word of God. If the Father had not revealed this time to his only begotten son, he surely has not revealed this day to us.

Yes! A great reset occurred, and it might have been 1844 or their earlier date. Who knows? How was the 300 mile Erie Canal built in a horse and buggy age with no power tools? Or the "Star Forts"? William Miller was in error and he admitted it. Therefore the SDA pioneers built their denomination on a faulty assumption. It is still causing problems all these years later.
I have SDA relatives, but I personally could never accept that there was anything wrong with holding the Sabbath on Sunday instead of Saturday.

So wars with increasing frequency,
So we have the natural world in upheaval with disaster after disaster, and in unusual places; & getting more and more intense.
Politically -
US prophecied as 2nd beast which makes an image to the first beast (Papal Rome).
US would be recognized in 1798 then slowly, slowly grow to a worldwide power and control other nations - that took place.
US would make an image to the beast - it would ensconce the teachings and press those on the world -- yes.
Then power would once again shift over to Papal Rome (Rev. 17:9-13) - they are right now destroying the United States. in all the preceding 7 beasts described, when a new power comes up it takes down the preceding power.
They are tearing apart the United States with Both hands. We really started loosing liberties after the 9/11 disaster they created, then with each disaster since - especially Covid (another creation of the NWO).
They will be putting into place the Sunday laws soon (already started in parts of the world), they are already ready to start with a digital dollar and even social credit system; which allows them to create a 'no-buy no-sell" for those that are keeping the commandments of God.
And the Protestant churches are fully in-bed with Papal Rome and espousing Jesuit doctrines (deceptions as to: state of the dead, the second coming, ghosts, and demons, even about the perpetuity of the commandments) instead of the pure Word of God.
They are preparing to crash the world economic systems - to then have the "Great Reset" come into place directed at so called "common good" -- AS THEY SEE IT. This is the establishment of a worldwide totalitarian state, where the Elites GET EVERYTHING and control EVERYONE - it will be back to the dark ages.
And still the world is just as it was in the time of Noah (Matt. 24:37-38) - they are eating and drinking and carrying on business as usual in a society that is morally corrupt and decadent - knowing not that the time of visitation draweth nigh. [[ Reminds me of what Billy Graham's wife Ruth said once when she was in San Francisco California - she said something to the effect that "if Jesus doesn't come back soon, He is going to have to apologize to Sodom". ]]

Well Miller did get that one right about the earth being burned by fire this will only happen after Jesus Christ comes back to the earth following the end of the great tribulation and what God will do unto those nations who get deceived by the evil devil Satan himself after this reign of the Son of God on earth comes to an end. Those words he said about this happening will come to pass according to what is written in the Bible.

They called themselves Millerites at that time. It wasn’t until 1860 when they decided on a name to best represent their Sabbath keeping views.

And when in 1860 the publishing work was organized, and when, after much discussion and some questionings, the name Seventh-day Adventist was adopted, the move and the name itself were shown to be in harmony with the divine will.” 1T 7.2

The belief that Christ was returning in 1844 was held across the Protestant world-it wasn't an SDA invention. The Protestant world, at large, believed it, hence, the great disappointment.
Yes all Christians believed in the Second Coming but no they did NOT believe that it was going to happen in 1844. That was peculiar to the Adventist movement, in fact many people stood against it.
