IBCS: A Game Changer

- Lifelong air defender, retired US Army Brigadier General Don Fryc, says Integrated Battle Command System (IBCS) is a game changer because military decision-makers will be able to react faster, see more, and save lives. How is this possible? IBCS unifies all available sensors and shooters across the multi-domain battlespace into a single integrated air picture. The system provides increased situational awareness, more effective resource management, and enables integration across coalition partners.

IBCS sounds like a great investment in strengthening our military operations. Tying together different points of information and communication, real time, is imperative. I assume the high security built into this complex, integrated infrastructure will minimize single points of failure and ensure continuous up-time. Good luck with this project's success, Northrop Grumman!
I had IBS in highschool, is this related?
Sounds like putting all your eggs in one basket. We all know how that one goes.
Layering its just an update

As a neutral observer, I would just point out that integration like this implies a centralized control. Such a control facility becomes a highest priority target. The more eggs you put in 1 basket, the bigger the target on the basket. Doubly true for hackers.
What is the Ibcs system?
Integrated Battle Command System (IBCS) integrates multiple sensors and weapon systems into a unified "NETWORK" for improved battlefield capabilities. Nodes can be included or detached without any effect to the overall system of systems.
@@MrGtime Yes Sir, that's true. But all these systems speak the same language. Breach one, and you own them all.
@@thomasgoodwin2648 Actually, that would give access/info but not control. It's not Skynet.🤣
@@MrGtime Wouldn't you like it if you had access to all of your enemies intel and dispositions? Not to mention, you could intercept and modify orders, delete orders, cut fake orders, potentially cause hardware failures (sabotage), etc. Compromised lines of communication are never an acceptable situation.
Enigma and JN25 should be clear examples of that.
Look, I'm not trying to knock this system. I'm sure at least some thought has gone into it.
I am also familiar with hacker mentalities. They would see this as an opportunity and a challenge. In any given conflict, I would certainly consider any disruption of enemy LoC as a relevant and important point of attack.
In this age of advancing Machine Learning algorithms, the idea that any current system is invulnerable is sheer folly.
@@thomasgoodwin2648 It really doesnt operate or function that way. Americans operate like hive ants...they all know and understand the roe and all work independantly toward the same goals.
God Bless America.🇺🇸🦅⚡️⚡️💀✝️🙏🏻
God Bless Northrop Grumman.🇺🇸🦅⚡️⚡️💀✝️🙏🏻
