Played in the key of A from beginning to end. Chords are A, C#m, D and E. The I, III, IV and V chords from the scale. The octaves you play similarly fit the A scale
Thanks for the correction. I believe I mis-spoke on this video regarding the key as I’ve gotten a couple comments about it. But you are absolutely correct.
The harmonics part is super helpful for me as I'm trying to add little tricks to my own playing. Wasn't ever a guitar player but in my new project that's a 3 piece I am. Thank you 🙏
I have to work on those sharp notes, thanks for the tips on that! Another good tune to work on my looper. The Meteors and 3 other cool bands are playing 20 minutes from AJ here tonight. Should be a psychobilly punk hardcore blast.
The best way to see this is in A major not E then the scale won't seem so strange...the E is like a dominant chord ringing out at the beginning...just try hitting that e power chorus a few times then hit an a chord and you will instantly hear...Tommy gun..in your head and be like ah its in A...then you can see that Mick is just using an A major Scale for all his licks
Another brilliant tutorial 👍
Thanks!
