i think it's crazy how this guy never runs out of material. He's old school, but still has fresh rhymes. He's my favorite rapper of all time. It's been cool hearing his voice literally mature. Now, he truly sounds like the Godfather.
He's been sounding mature since illmatic though
Omid Shams all music is taken from something else, doesnt mean its right but pointing it out to music lovers is lol.
If you have the time please give Lost Paige by Mikey Mic a listen. I'd greatly appreciate any feedback.
His flow still definitely intact.
Jacepayne -"Music never dissipates, it only recreates."
When you actually have something to say you don't need to mumble. Nicely done Nas.
Kanye lit that beat up tho
David, well said!
David DiMuzio sure Bro
Amen.
No need to hate on “mumble rap”. It’s has good things to it too, like if you’re just looking to vibe and feel the energy of the music without paying attention to the lyrics. I personally don’t even like it, but no need to bring other artists down
What you have witnessed is an MC in the purest form possible.
That's all 🙌🏾❤
🔥🔥🔥 say that!

3 things that's Nas will always have: Flow, Witty Wordplay in Lyrics & The Fresh Fade From The Bevel Blade. Lol 😆 😆 😆

That's a major key
still at the top of the fade game lol
Major key!
It's easy to be lyrical when you're talking about nonsense, but Nas is utmost lyrical while talking about the deepest of topics... that's why he is the GOAT of Rap in my opinion.
My friend said Young Boy is the greatest smh. shit so annoying like bro is so dumb lmao

"grey hairs of wisdom means you seen something".......fire
I felt that truth. I always asked why our ogs only brag about the good ole days but never include the hardships that came back then. We need knowledge not jokes and laughs.

That is related to Moses

Ok who else got surprised when the drummer came in with that mellow vocal?
Anderson paak in the making
whats the drummers name?
Rex Detiger Eddie Cole, Nas gave him cred partway through the song. He's Nat King Cole's great-nephew.
It works though, right? Creates contrast.
THAT’S MY SON!!!!
Glad to see all Nas fans always showing love instead of being negative. That's what Hip-Hop is supposed to be about. Nas is always killing it.
This is one of the smoothest performances I have seen in a while
OH MY GOD my heart, that last verse was fire . I will never get sick of his flow
Exactly
Every verse is light into Nas' s personal life and every verse is on point
This entire song was just pure fire but the last verse.... Damn it sounded like a diss to Jay! Just listen to what he’s saying...
I got a dildo with a kick stand for ya hit me up
That verse is incredible
The realest MC of all time. The king. The street poet. Dude is as resilient as it gets. Now my man is quietly cashing in on his investing skills.
Rap with a story and a message, miss those old school.
If you have the time can you please do me a favor? Let me know what you think of Lost Paige by Mikey Mic. Id greatly appreciate any feedback.

Totally agree! He was ON POINT in this performance!

Nas still sounds the same after 24 years and still has some of the best verses. A true hiphop icon here. I can see Kendrick walking down the same path.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again!! The GREATEST Lyricist of All Time! My Love😍🖤

Not always. He doesn't miss or forget words on his televised performances except explicit words that he can't say on air.
He’s true to himself and a true artist!!! A born prophet and prodigy never forgets his truth or his art..
Nas is actually Dylan of our times, his lyrics 🙏🏼 … Kourosh Yaghmaei would have been proud of this

LYRICS for those such as me, not native English speaker:
The ghetto, Othello, the moor
Oh my God, they speak venomous on the boy
Oh my Lord, my enemy is fear, and I'm sure
Oh my God, they want the end of me 'cause I'm pure
Oh my Lord, discipline for the win, I just go for it
It's a trend for these men to die on their own sword
Journey far, learn who you can be
But you can learn who you are when you around family
Chip off their shoulders and soldiers, on they grizzle
My granddaddy Mac Little married Dandy Little
They passed down wisdom, blessings were given
Pray my sins don't get passed to my children
I made a killin', I'm alive like the morning star
Court Jordan's for the price on stock, so what the Hornets are?
I need evaluations, I'm savvy y'all
Eatin' foie gras and caviar-listen!
Adam and Eve
Don't fall too far from the apple tree, ay
Adam and Eve, Adam and Eve
Don't fall too far from the apple tree, apple tree
The ghosts of gangsters dance
Chinchillas shake on the hanger, the force of this banger
Yeah, my language advance, my cadence amazin'
The voice triggers somethin'
What is this conundrum?
The clouds scurry, your spirit rumble, a boyish smile
Still puff the loud, it's nothin' less than a quarter pound
Savage narrative, every verse that I write bursts light
Brings awareness to my personal life
After my morning walk, Havana cigar, the ganja spark
See my doctor more, sweatin' the sauna or the spa
Spendin' fifty large at the Bellagio
Spent twenty on a bad bitch I hardly know
New girl every night, two girls was every other night
Sexual addiction, gangster tradition
They wanna fuck me, have me under they belt, slightly offended
Yeah, that's how I felt, that's how it ended
I'm just good at existin', existed in my truth
As long as I enjoy the fruit, yeah
Adam and Eve
Don't fall too far from the apple tree, ay
Adam and Eve, Adam and Eve
Don't fall too far from the apple tree, apple tree
What come first, peace or the paper?
Before I had a piece of paper, peace was in my favor
Before I sat to eat at the table it had leeches and traitors
Cut the fat from the meat, extract the weak, bon appetit
No bacon, brothers is swine
It's so hard to trust 'em 'cause my hustle is mine
It's evident they all the same
With gray hair and still mean muggin'
Gray hairs of wisdom, that means you seen somethin'
Say somethin', you stay frontin'
But these clowns got false crowns, fictional kings
You broke my heart, Fredo
You bring this thing of ours down to a fable
Be advised my guys dryin', enterprisin' at the boss's table
There's always room at my table
Insecurities is keepin' you disabled
All this money to get, is it less time?
They ain't stopped printin' money, 'cause they made mine
I learned to stretch time, these are the best times
I'm in my neighborhood in stadiums, the Mets' kind
With restaurants and Carbone, spicy rigatoni
Go hard, a red Bordeaux, oh God!
Adam and Eve
Don't fall too far from the apple tree, ay
Adam and Eve, Adam and Eve
Don't fall too far from the apple tree, apple tree
WOW.....
Amazing traveled back in time to the present all in one song
This is pure poetry
That first paragraph when he compares himself to a version of Othello that survived through all of "discipline" instead of "dying on his on sword." #epic
Normally, a reference to the "morning star" is a reference to satan. I'm not sure of his contextual use of it in this song. "The Bright and Morning Star" is normally a reference to Jesus Christ.
@@childoftheheavenlyfather302 the Morning Star is Lucifer before he fell from Grace which might mean that Nas as not seeing himself Fall From Grace he is still in the good graces of the Lord. Just my interpretation could be wrong
Nasir jones the GOAT
Nas has a voice that was born to rap
One of the best hip hop tracks of the last 3-5 years. I mean... it‘s a classic Nas.
Kanye Produced it was good for hiphop,
Not to take anything away from 'God's Son' - 'Adam And Eve' is as dope as they come - but how many real Hip-Hop tracks have you heard in the last 3-5 years to make such a statement?
Which real heads do you exactly know other than the crap on the radio?
Huge Nas fan! He never disappoints. Adam and Eve live is fantastic.
Lindsay F, I Totally Agree With You Whole Heartedly!!!!!!! MY BEAUTIFUL BLACK QUEEN😀😘
Nas is just sick. He loves the craft. Likes other genres like jazz, blues and funk. He just gets it.
I always remember one of my Dad’s friends being over at my house when I was a kid listening to Blues records. I was playing Nas in my room then was walking out to leave.. he asked me..
“Who was that?”
I said “Nas”
He responded “yeah.. he’s speaking the blues.. the truth.. I like it”
I walked out of the house thinking ..”yes”

Enough of them mumble crap.
Just because mumble rap's out there doesn't mean you have to listen to it, there's also plenty of regular rap out there, it doesn't take much effort to find it with the options we've got to consume any kind of music these days. Whining about what's mainstream is lazy, this is the greatest time ever to listen to music, and it can only get better with more and more diversity, this is what the internet brings, we've got everything we want at the end of of a thumb's touch, just reach for it.
Louis F right but mumble rap is garbage though
can the top comments on any rap related video not be complaints about mumble rap
