Now, that’s what you call a singer! My whole life wrapped up in his career, from high school to clubbing in my 20s 30s, and today there was an usher song for each period of my life.
Same, from middle school to adulthood. The night of the Super Bowl, I said my elder millennial heart has melted all over the floor with this performance. ❤
@@TonyaGarnetto-pe8mnthat’s my main complaint. I just feel like he should’ve gotten more time. I feel like it started off sort of weak but towards the middle he picks it up and it’s amazing. Then it ends.
Usher literally brought Atlanta to the Super Bowl!!! From the marching bands, to the skaters, to the strippers, all the way to some of our great artists and producers!!! This was a great and very energetic show!!!❤❤❤❤ I really enjoyed it!
The amount of choreography he did during this. Didn't have to do half of it to deliver a top-notch performance and still did with live singing. Bruh did his thing with style.
usher gave us want we wanted!! artists don't do it like this anymore. this is the best 2000s throwback i've seen. loved the singing, dancing, rollerskates, marching band, electric guitar AND piano moment and sooo much more, truly perfection. thanks usher and everyone behind this performance.
Why does Usher look like he hasn't aged in the last 25 years. I literally remember seeing him as a kid back in the 90s. We're in 2024 and he looks exactly the same as he did when I was 12 years old in 98 watching him on MTV. Alicia Keys also looks flawless as well, she's rocking the hell out of that red outfit. Hearing Usher sing all these songs you realize how many hits he has, the crazy part is I can literally sing along to every single song he sang. That's how talented he is and has been over the years.
He still got the dance moves to Yes I was singing everyone of the songs I was like wow & that wasn't all the songs & the part wit him roller skating that took it up a notch for me I loved it all I didn't won't it to end
Their seemingly ageless appearance comes from [SRA] blood magic, and whereas it may prolong the body while it remains “alive” on the earth-the practice of such things, does [most unfortunately] send the soul straight to hell!
When this came out it got so many judgements because of his skating and the glitter. BRO hes a performerr! Hes amazing Put some respect on Usher's name. Hes a legend. He was a big part of why the 90's and early 2000 was amazing.
I appreciated the Usher giving props to Michael Jackson and Prince in the show. Him wearing the one glove and H.E.R. coming out with her guitar. Just amazing show.
I'd be honored if some fans of late 70s/early 80s groove would take a listen to my low-fi acoustic piano & vocal performances of SAIL ON by Lionel Richie, SEPTEMBER by Earth Wind & Fire, and THE PINA COLADA SONG by Rupert Holmes on my YT in tribute to the legends. Live acoustic with no autotune. Peace and keep on grooving in the '020s.
I like Usher but I didn’t know I was such a fan until I sing along with him words by words from start to finish effortlessly because I’ve sang all his songs in the showers, cars, etc forever . These are heaven for 90s babies definitely. 😂😂😂
Yes I was a bit sad even knowing he didn’t include ‘U Remind Me’, ‘Can U Help Me’, etc on the superbowl but hey 13 minute didn’t do justice to Usher’s catalogs 😂
I attended Usher Las Vegas Residency and this is the same energy he gives at his shows. The greatest performer in the World. Happy he is touring this year.
I sure hope he does better singing! Because this was not Usher on his A game with his vocals at all don't get me wrong. I absolutely love him and I have everything he has ever put out but he absolutely let everyone out shine him at this superbowl with his voice.
And he's still taking his shirt off every time he performs. The man got some moves, and watching him perform some anthems from my childhood was awesome. I was jammin the whole time like I was 12 years old again (I was 12 when confessions was released)
watch the broadcast then rewatch this. They're different. For example, at 4:01 in the broadcast version her voice cracks on the word "some", but they edited it out in this version. Edit: The performance is great, i don’t like that they edited it because it makes it not actually live
Walked into a indoor playground last night with my son. All the tvs were on the halftime show...and every parent was in front of them dancing like they were in their 20s and back at the club 😂.
Seeing him showing all the moves and giving a great performance even at 45 (at that time, although he's now 46 yo) is amazing to see.... He is "summarizing" our old childhood days in 13 minutes, you know. Usher is indeed one of the R&B legends - for me! 💪🔥 *P.S.: And that brawny physique at **7:58** - just wow! He is **_still_** physically strong...*

I was born in 85 and this performance IS the soundtrack for my high school and college days. Like a stroll down memory lane. That was really amazing.
I’m saying
💯💯💯 Me too
lol same, between this Super Bowl and last year's with Riri, that's half of the music I danced to
Me too!
1986! 🙋🏽♀️
Now, that’s what you call a singer! My whole life wrapped up in his career, from high school to clubbing in my 20s 30s, and today there was an usher song for each period of my life.
No
Exactly!!!! Oh my gosh me too!!!!
Yeah!!! ❤
Same, from middle school to adulthood. The night of the Super Bowl, I said my elder millennial heart has melted all over the floor with this performance. ❤
will ı start my phd next year?
Man I almost didn’t want this to end. This is my childhood. Best nostalgic thing I’ve seen in a long while.
I feel you! I was like I wish this could go on a little longer!
@@TonyaGarnetto-pe8mnthat’s my main complaint. I just feel like he should’ve gotten more time. I feel like it started off sort of weak but towards the middle he picks it up and it’s amazing. Then it ends.
These new artist could never compare

Yesss to all of this 🔥🔥
I remembered when 'Yeah' was my Nokia's 3660 ringtone... oh yeah the old days 😌
Omg 😭😭 Memory unlocked 😂
Usher didn't do lip sync bullcrap like everyone else does, and lil Jon added SO MUCH energy to this. This is so rare nowadays, love this show
They don’t invite lip syncers to these shows you need actual talent
Agree 100%
@@CasualCat64 There's no lyp synchers dude it's just a condition you have to complete
Every musician can perform like that
Usher and Rihanna both didn’t do lip sync. You could hear Rihanna’s voice as well
Okay chill out dude
the fact that he sang live and did all that choreography speaks volumes to why he is a legend
He had great training with sack topping P Diddy day and night 😂
You sound stupid what else did you expect him to do.
He learned from Michael Jackson

An MJ ripoff with a bad singing voice 😂 🗑️
Usher literally brought Atlanta to the Super Bowl!!! From the marching bands, to the skaters, to the strippers, all the way to some of our great artists and producers!!! This was a great and very energetic show!!!❤❤❤❤ I really enjoyed it!
I did, too.
I’m pretty sure that’s JSU marching band
That was Jackson State University’s band.
He should have had Savannah State band preformed or Morehouse to make it a true Atl or Georgia performance.
@@thequietwone6501 nope Jackson state he tried to mix Atlanta and Los Vegas up too much JSU was the perfect band
The amount of choreography he did during this. Didn't have to do half of it to deliver a top-notch performance and still did with live singing. Bruh did his thing with style.
Usher needed more time he has too many hits
I said this too. Surprised Beyonce didn't join him for Love in this Club. She was there.
Honestly, he didn't need guest, he was fine by himself
Them first few songs he played are not hits 😂
@@adamscott7492yup, now that I think about it. Could’ve replaced Alicia keys with more of his hits..
For real. I was getting annoyed because we only got one line or half a line and onto the next song. Lord.
usher gave us want we wanted!! artists don't do it like this anymore. this is the best 2000s throwback i've seen. loved the singing, dancing, rollerskates, marching band, electric guitar AND piano moment and sooo much more, truly perfection. thanks usher and everyone behind this performance.
the entire guitar part was mimed... terribly.
Yepp. Like who tf even dances anymore? Bunch of talentless hacks become pop star these days.
ah, we have reached the point we reffer to the 2000s as throwback😅
@@georgianasutu5882 well it is 25 years ago that is a while tbf he’s been around since the 90’s
That guitar solo by H.E.R. gave me chills and I've heard that song a thousand times. She's amazing! I'm glad Usher gave her the opportunity to shine.
Yeeees!!!
She wasn’t even playing lol
Prince would be proud ❤ i have listen to that part so many times
LOL IT'S FAKE PLAYING
I loved it too! Such a cool way to perform it
This performance is in my Top 3 all time most entertaining SB halftime shows. Usher literally brought it ALL 🕖 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Why does Usher look like he hasn't aged in the last 25 years.
Dancing keeps us young 😏
He still got the dance moves to
Yes I was singing everyone of the songs I was like wow & that wasn't all the songs & the part wit him roller skating that took it up a notch for me I loved it all I didn't won't it to end
If it means anything he was a teen when he became a star. In his mid 40’s so not very old but he hardly has aged much still
He hasn't one bit!!!
Their seemingly ageless appearance comes from [SRA] blood magic, and whereas it may prolong the body while it remains “alive” on the earth-the practice of such things, does [most unfortunately] send the soul straight to hell!
Ludacris looked at Usher like he was so proud 🥹
love both of them 😊 Chris is soooo cute😀
Costume Designer: how many outfit changes do you want for the show?
Usher: YEAH!
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣literally
💯 😊 ❤ 🔥
Usher is a great singer
I wish usher was in Fortnite with that look
😂
Idk if im overreacting but usher might be the greatest performer i've ever seen in my life

I just noticed that Usher was doing a MJ tribute with the sliver glove 💯

When this came out it got so many judgements because of his skating and the glitter. BRO hes a performerr! Hes amazing Put some respect on Usher's name. Hes a legend. He was a big part of why the 90's and early 2000 was amazing.
Lets take a moment to appreciate that full quick change WITH SKATES

Hello 👋 please don't mind me sending you a message without your permission ❤❤❤
I appreciated the Usher giving props to Michael Jackson and Prince in the show. Him wearing the one glove and H.E.R. coming out with her guitar. Just amazing show.
Did you also notice H.e.r. was dressed like TLC from back when usher dated Chili 😉
es el primer comentario que leo con esa apreciación, llegue a pensar que era la única en notarlo, gracias 😊
I thought he was doing it for Michael Jackson. And the Guitar was for Prince. And shot out to his mom they all did it he was saying in so many words.
H.E.R is so annoying. She cant even play good 😂
Great point. H.E.R with the guitar definitely gave me Prince vibes
I'm a metal head through and through.... But as a 1990-2000s kid I have the utmost respect for this man's craft 🤘 Thank you, Usher!!!

I've re-watched this back to back at least 10x. My brother definitely deserved his flowers. One of the best performance I've ever seen.
Legendary
I like Usher but I didn’t know I was such a fan until I sing along with him words by words from start to finish effortlessly because I’ve sang all his songs in the showers, cars, etc forever . These are heaven for 90s babies definitely. 😂😂😂
80’s too. We actually grew up with Usher. Usher transcends!
I said the same thing! I was shocked that I was able to sing along to all of it
Yes I was a bit sad even knowing he didn’t include ‘U Remind Me’, ‘Can U Help Me’, etc on the superbowl but hey 13 minute didn’t do justice to Usher’s catalogs 😂
He has so many hits. I wish he dropped OMG to extend the others especially Superstar. He had the whole stadium singing with him.
Usher is one of those artists who everyone forgets is responsible for at least 5 songs they loved in the 00s until they catch themselves singing along
The dancing, the skating, Usher’s smile, Usher’s body…..PHENOMENAL performance👏🏽💪🏾😘🏆

watch the broadcast then rewatch this. They're different. For example, at 4:01 in the broadcast version her voice cracks on the word "some", but they edited it out in this version.
Edit: The performance is great, i don’t like that they edited it because it makes it not actually live

Plus theres tons of great young dancers and artists today, why people today with google cant make a simple search for new artists. You have to shove them down their throats or they wont even bother. And will just talk nostalgia disrespecting the work done today.
Yes true talent
When artists these days start dancing, you geezers would whine about how they would just focus on singing. NOTHING pleases you, you just hate the youths and you know it!
@@celphone1cellphone591 News flash, the kpop fan base is smaller than you think. No one is calling them untalented. Let’s also not pretend like kpop isn’t inspired by black culture 🤔….as a gen z 3rd gen kpop fan you’re doing too much. The superbowl halftime show has always been about bringing older legendary artists to the stage. Jungkook just starting his solo career and doesn’t fit the criteria. Fans like you need to stop acting as if people can’t appreciate artists they grew up with, especially those who are literal inspirations to your kpop favs. Older generations typically don’t care for newer artists because they grew up with a different type of music.
