I graduated from a dodea high school well before any of this cancer started to happen. I feel sad and sorry for the remainder of the students who get their education from them now. As a DoD employee I couldn’t even ask fellow employees if they would like to buy my kids school/activity fund raising items. So couldn’t do Girl Scout cookies or candy bars because that was unethical! But he doesn’t know that peddling her personal book at a DoD conference is unethical?

As a business owner, on rare occasions, I have taken full responsibility either for my personal error, or my employees, I simply took full responsibility, as the owner, that the buck stops with me, period. 30 years ago I took an African American studies class in college. I was the only white student.
For our first assignment we had to write an essay on whether black people could be racist.
I put a lot of thought and effort into the essay, showing examples of black racism around the world and and the us. It was written professionally and not inflammatory.
I received an F, with no comments or edits, just an F.
Not wanting to risk my gpa, I immediately dropped the class.
They wanted no intelligent discussion or debate, they just wanted me gone because I was white. It was very discouraging.

The straight forward questioning by Stefanik should be the standard on these committees. This woman knows how to keep witnesses on track. Conversely, if the witness refuses or claims not to have knowledge when they're required to in order to hold their position that person should be subjected to immediate review to determine if they are qualified for the position they hold. The basic qualifications of these government positions are to KNOW what is happening under their guidance. Not answering direct questions from a review should be grounds for immediate impeachment/replacement. This lady is probably the best example I have seen to represent the taxpayers/citizens of the country. Kudos to her and may we please have more no nonsense people representing us.

I grew up a military brat,I went to DOD Schools, and my formative years were spent in a literal melting pot of cultures and races. I befriended kids who had parents from other countries and cultures. We were taught that we were all equals. I'm tired of this racism infesting everything in our society
I went to DOD schools in Europe and it was amazing, Canadians, Turkish, Greek, British, etc and all of us were colleagues. Regardless of skin colour. This was in the 90s. I would like to think that things are not this bad, but merely a few bad apples.
There is no wide spread racism. We all know it. But they have to divide and conquer so we don't see what they are really doing.

@@bearsmith3655 I did 23 years as an 8404 fmf corspman . truthfully, there is little racism in the military. It doesnt matter race creed religion sexual preference. It matters, we got each other's six.
I spent eight years as a Civilian Contractor at a Naval Air Station. A large percentage of the people who worked in the hangar were not white. There were a lot of workers, both former military and civilian who were of African descent, also Hispanic and Asians. We had workers from India, Pakistan, Cuba, Puerto Rico, South Africa and many other places and most of them had served in the United States military, many of them for twenty years or more, in fact, they had gained their United States citizenship by serving in the military. While in the military, they learned the skills that allowed them to now work as civilian contractors to the military earning outstanding pay and benefits. I can tell you here and now that not one of them would tell you they were “oppressed” or being “kept down by the man”. They simply didn’t have patience for that nonsense.
I am now retired and I can say that the crew of people in that squadron were the finest and most patriotic group of Americans I ever worked with.
If someone takes more than 6 months to do their jobs and they wait until last minute to respond as required, they are f'ing with you. There is literally nothing to be gained by procrastinating to the last minute and scrambling to do things.

I was a GS employee for 34 years, and unfortunately the "rules" make it extremely difficult to fire the people who aren't doing their job. They also have a union which makes it even harder. It is really a bad system, and the good workers are doing most of the work.

she benefited from the protection that the system provided. And really, in most unionized environments there is usually a disciplinary route that can be taken. In my over 40 yrs working exclusively with unionized employees, once you start the process, even though it takes time, the person either corrects their behaviour or they end up firing themselves. It just takes good management and diligence to achieve either result.
Just start holding them for contempt and I guarantee they'll give you whatever they want you want so that they can get released
I wish that were true. Sadly there is no enforcement mechanism beyond funding for congress to threaten. They will do what ever they want even when illegal because they know the Biden DOJ is as corrupt as they are and the wicked protect each other.

Going to school in the 70’s and 80’s I don’t know about another towns , cities , states. All I know we weren’t racist black or white! We all got along played ball together, partying, working! It was a beautiful thing looking back! I still see my friends of color ( hope that is the right word) today and we are still tight! All we say man things are changing and not for the best!
