Well as an Indian sister I will tell you a secret! Turmeric stains will disappear if you dry your clothes in the sun. It works for everything, clothes, utensils, wooden spatulas. Hope it helps!

Summary: First apply salt, wet your fingers with water and then apply salt rather rub it in. leave it for about five minutes. 3 tbs baking powder, 1 tbs turmeric, 2 tbs honey, juice from medium size lemon. quarter of a cup of either full whipping cream or full plain yoghurt. Then mix it all. Apply and leave it for 20 minutes. Difference can be seen in 3 days.

Am Judith watching from Uganda. I grew up by the grace of God and I didn't have anyone to teach me all this hygiene coz I lost ma parents at the age of 3 and no one could teach me all this. Am glad I've gotten a mother to teach me what I should have learnt long ago.

To remove tumeric stain, soak stained fabric in normal detergent or soap , you will find the yellow changes to red colour . Didry it under the sunlight without rinsing off the soap or detergent. Once dry the stain disappears like magic

We in india also use gramflour ( chickpea flour) to exfoliate , soften and lighten underarms. Mix it with yogurt , honey , and it can be used on face as a face pack too

What a fabulous recipe, Ms. Fumi; AND IT WORKS!! I used it on my underarms, neck, face, lady parts and it was wonderful! I can't say that after one treatment the full and complete lightening/brightening effect was immediate but I truly believe that after 2 or 3 times, the change will be even more noticeable; afterall, it is years of sun burn and chub rub :-) What IS IMMEDIATELY NOTICEABLE and marvelous is the softness of the skin! After removing the turmeric mask, the texture and sensation was almost like squeaky baby skin. The deepest exfoliation and brightening ever. There was no burning sensation, I didn't have to over scrub or brush on. Just sit there and let it do its magic.
I could simply lather my whole body with this. I will try on my whole face tonight.
The only instruction I didn't follow carefully was to use a dark towels. There was turmeric on all my other hand towels, carpet, walls, you get the picture. It comes off if you wipe it off immediately.

It depends on what you want to treat on your face. Rather than just wanting to lighten the skin of the face. Iam not suggesting it's the latter just saying if it is acne, then there are known treatments for these

Oh Fumi! We use this in Trinidad & Tobago. We have a large East Indian population and Hindu Brides are traditionally covered with the turmeric mixture before the wedding to make their skin soft and glowing. We also mix the saffron with coconut oil and apply it to the skin for lightening. I am going to try this recipe tomorrow. Love from T&T

When I changed my diet to plant based, I did not have any underarm odor. I stopped using antiperspirant years ago, finding the right natural deodorant is key. I love this lady, because her self care regimen is beautiful. We must take care of ourselves.
Yes, after I stopped using antiperspirants and went natural, my understanding arms lightened..I took a lot of trial and error but I've finally found what works for me..I find that the clear deodorant does not work as long as the thicker white kind..plus you may have to reapply during the day which is fine..and last but not least learn what scents work well with your body when it comes to deodorant.

This really works. Especially to remove those dark spots off your skin after pregnancy.
To remove tumeric soak clothes or wash with vinegar and dish soap. You can apply it to the spot where it has the tumeric and lightly scrub it then soak it with more vinegar and dish soap. Works everytime for me.

@@foodkpop339 alpha hydroxy acid and beta hydroxy acid... Like the ordinary peel... But dilute it with water n do patch test before applying on armpits as it is a sensitive area...if it doesn't sting or burn..leave it on for 20min n then wash off...do 2-3x a week for best results.

Great tip! BTW my dermatologist told me my underarm hyperpigmentation was due to my skin reacting to the aluminum found in most underarm deodorants since I am allergic to most metals except pure silver and 14k+ gold. I now read ingredients in under arm deodorants to avoid any metals.
I found out this same thing through trial and error! Breast cancer runs very strong on my paternal side so I've stopped using wire bras, deodorants with aluminum and several other things. When I stopped using aluminum deodorant my arm pits started to lighten on their own.

That's the same with me.. I now use arm and hammer deodorant. Its the only aluminum free deodorant that I find works all day

I actually had been on this process for about 2 years but aside the salt, though on my face , I open my pores with warm water. and all of my friends asked me what I have been using and I recommended. I also told them they will see the diff within 3 days 😊 and it’s true. I have to try it under my dark armpit as well, I was too concerned about the acne on my face.
