Audi A6 (C6) 3.2 Alternator Replacement

This video is a recap of the alternator replacement showing how to remove the alternator easily by disconnecting wiring harnesses and moving them out of the way. No need to remove lower radiator hose if done carefully.

Just did mine. Engine has been misfiring since, i think it's the modules needing to relearn the car.
I wasn't sure of the right way to remove those oil pan harness clips so i just broke them off and used zip ties at the end. The electrical connectors are annoying to release. The one on the alternator broke but was still usable. Manuevering the alternator around the wire harness and coolant hose remaining after removing the other stuff out of the way was the hardest part.
It wasn't ideal but the alternator was supported on the lines right below it..(maybe a/c lines?) After removing the 4 bolts

Misfiring stopped after unplugging the data line to the battery energy management module thing from the alternator...just left it undone

Is this the same with 4.2 model?

not sure... likely not same process to remove but similar concept.
