@@MegaFidough Redux Dodrio is actually a really great counter to redux bewear. It only has a 2x fairy weakness, is faster and hits insanely hard. If it gets poison fang or really any strong contact poison move it can deal a lot of damage, despite fluffy.

Poison is kinda GOATed in ER. You end up dealing with so many varied threats that eventually you'll hit that wall that can only be worn down with something like grip pincer poison fang from a drapion in sand or something of the like.
Redux Bewear is honestly the best one here, like bro Redux Bewear carried my game, first it has guts, you forgotten to mention... And with swords dance? E-speed does massive damage to even resists, and in the mid/early game where you can get and evolve it, you can have facade guts already on it, and make it have guilt trip always (or when you need to break a setter sash lead on the opponent's side) and it will deal huge damage because not only facade is double in power thanks to being burned, but also guts boosted and stab? Yeah, its a nuke, and once it dies from the enemy because of burn tick making it go to kill range, obviously the AI will take it and get the stat drop, ultimately making you're sweeper in the back set up and wipe the floor, Its so good as a lead! Just dish out damage and then lower their stats afterwards which is why to anyone having a hard time in the game... Just go Redux Bewear dude.
Redux Floatzel is probably one of my Favorite Redux forms just because of its powerful whirling strikes. With technician, whirling strikes becomes a very powerful 180 base power move with multi hit, which is insane. Paired with Choice band or swords dance, it takes a lot of surprising OHKOs in the early game, and when you have stronger attackers in your team, you can easily turn into speed support with airblower. Heck, as I am writing this, I noticed that with airblower, you can easily just don't invest in speed and just do 252 atk, 252 spatk and become a mixed attacker. It's unique combination of very fast speed and airblower can just make it outspeed nonscarf mons (not factoring in innates). If you want to, scarf is actually ok with this mon as it even has switcheroo, crippling bulky mons. Anyway, that's all I'm gonna say, please vote Redux Floatzel for the 2024 elections, thank you.
The half drake ability on dodrio actually makes it worse because poison/dark only has 1 weakness but dragon add the weakness to dragon and ice fairy because it has 2 types weak to fairy
Redux Floatzel exists. Redux Bewear is a homie. Redux Dodrio is just so dang cool. Redux Floatzel was fun to try to use in flying but was a bit underwhelming. Redux Dodrio nuked shit. He was cool. Redux Bewear made it to the league in mono fairy and went toe to toe with Satan. Nuff said.
How they work in practice: Tbh half drake on redux dodrio only does more harm than good: the typing offensively doesn’t offer anything and in exchange your fairy neutrality becomes a weakness alongside new weaknesses to ice and itself, while being too frail to benefit from the high powered moves from the types that it now resists. In terms of kit, definitely would say that redux is on par with regular dodrio: moxie on regular is very scary on a Mon with it’s stats, especially with big pecks providing an initial power boost to force a ko and get the snowball rolling. Plus grounded and extra ground moves are a GODSEND to it since now it is free to jackhammer rocks and steels that jump kick wouldn’t be able to muscle through. Meanwhile redux just seems cancerous to go up against: what it lacks in that snowball potential it makes up for in a much more… toxic toolkit Mainly, multi headed, solenoglyph draconic fangs, 30% flinch rate across 3 hits is, as you expect, completely asinine, and the essentially guarenteed chance at applying toxic poison is just insult to injury. Thankfully it put 20 speed into it’s attack, so this is just off of base 100 speed, but that’s more than enough to make it utterly MISERABLE for defensive cores to handle this thing, since fairies don’t want to go near poison stab and even contact punishing tools like helmet and abilities like iron barbs is made useless by protective pads. If that sounds terrible A. Because it is B. It could be SO much worse. Long time ago when the showdown was still up, it was discovered that solenoglyphs, instead of making biting moves have a 50% chance to inflict poison, made biting move’s pre existing secondary effects have a +50% chance to activate. To give you an idea on how absurd this was: Fire fang was now a reliable burn spreader with the ability, so mons like gliscor were spamming it to infuriating degree. But the biggest impact was that Seviper became the new god of the meta game: hyper aggresive solenoglyphs bite, it’s decent enough stats, dragon dance and even coil up made it an utter monster. It could either run av support sets to abuse coil up and the elemental fangs as priority status distributors alongside bite being effectively fake out with how it guaranteed a flinch, or, and most dangerously, it could be on offensive styles, run pads, and use ddance to become a devestating sweeper: defensive counters to this thing just… didn’t exist, since in order for that counter to work, you’d have to be able to respond, and due to bite, that was just not possible. Why do I bring this abomination up? Because if Seviper was tearing the meta to shreds with hyper aggressive solenoglyphs bite, off of 100 speed and attack. Redux dodrio with it’s 3 hit solenoglyphs draconic fangs off of 130 attack and the same speed would get quickbanned instantly Redux Bewear is goofy Sd +espeed essentially has it channel the spirit of anime Bewear, and alongside guts to make it both status immune and stronger and fluffy to support it’s set up, it is utterly calamitous if it gets the turn to boost. The Mon would definitely be a star in squads with magnezone, since mag can remove mons like skarm and other steels which it has trouble breaking through Redux Floatzel just sucks, plain and simple Sure technichian whirling strikes is powerful… but it actually suffers the exact same problem as floatzel in radical red: That one good move is ALL it has. And that move is not only easier to stop than rr floatzel’s antics (every steel, rock, and other resists wall it hard, no potential way to boost it further with something like rain, generally a weaker move), but is even unreliable (whirling strikes is a flying taxel clone, so 90% accuracy on each hit, and you should know how finicky taxel is with hitting)
Iirc it’s a dot status that prevents healing moves (recover, shore up, etc) from working properly, as it makes them remove the status instead of healing.
