Take that back. Illinois is very good on the sax. And Dexter realizes!
Jammer dat advertenties plaatsen aan staat. Dan kan ik me niet in de session muzikaal inleven.

Illinois Jacquet. His sax debate towards Dexter Gordon. Lets see how it works out.

Play that music now. Dexter Gordon is not playing around.
Bass player gettin down
1979, Dexter Gordon, is not playing. He is on the money with his saxophone! Just saying.
These dudes are not playing. Dueling saxs!!!!
Sorry, before I even listen, ain't no beating Dexter on this saxophone. Nope!
Hmmmm sort of a train wreck...Dexter being arrogant taking a longer solo than he should have and playing Illinois solo which he knew its what illnois always started that solo with.. a lot of ego on that stage. .
Yeah that’s funny
The quote Dex played was a both compliment and humorous. The other players laughed. Also, his solo was not long at all. Your criticism of Dex and calling this amazing performance a train wreck demonstrates there is something seriously wrong with you.
Listen to the music more. Learn about the culture more. Maybe you might understand the jokes. It's okay. At this point these men have known each other for almost 30 years. This is not their first rodeo.
