I don't think it will be a mistake. They just have to be more careful cuz the GLAM situation could have been avoided but they were not even close to the company they are now
Yeah Glam would’ve been pretty successful if that Dahee situation never happened. And there’s still no clear, *CONFIRMED* information about why GFriend disbanded so suddenly. I’m still on the side that it’s just misfortunate luck so far with girl groups for them

i feel like it was SUCH A MISSED OPPORTUNITY that they didn't debut with a fantasy concept revolving their name (look up "seraphim angels" in case you're not aware of the meaning). groups i could count with one single hand have fantasy as their main concept, so it would have been quite refreshing and new, it would've fit them and it would have avoided the whole controversy of their concept concerning their "excessive sexiness". GOD EVEN YUNJIN'S OPERA SKILLS COULD'VE BEEN USED TO THE MAX GIVING THEIR MUSIC A REGAL MAJESTIC ANGELIC TOUCH.

YES! This is what I thought. Their name meaning angels. They're under Source who made Gfriend's music. One member is a literal ballerina. A soft feminine angelic concept would have been so refreshing in this market of endless diluted Blackpinks (Greypinks?) But as soon as I saw the "We're Fearless" thing I knew it was probably going to disappoint me.
we still don't know that. remember hybe or bighit itself is notorious for creating these kinds of trailers and teasers but when comeback came, it's the completely different. TXT, BTS and GFRIEND is the proof of what I said.
The only problem I have with LE SSERAFIM is their concept because some members seem more risque and the younger members have a more innocent look to them. Just hope they don't run into a CLC type issue where there concept is all over the place that it doesn't seem to catch anyone.
They haven't even reveal their concept tho. What they're giving us is just a sneak peak of LSRF.

i assure you everything that they have released so far would problaly look nothing like their debut concept. txt is an example, their introduction is different ti their debut. their storyline will also continue and evolve just as bts and txt

honestly im not too worried abt their debut their teasers have good amount of views, the member announcement pics have great amount of likes, they have ssamkkura and iz hype + yunjin hype, the audio accessories or whatever those r for the debut sound amazing and r definitely GP friendly and isnt fully girl crush so thats a positive, also kazuha which isnt even a member that was known before is getting so much attention and is attracting even more fans than they already had so im not worried AT ALL

hybe is the umbrella company of Source, BigHit, Pledis, and Belift. BigHit still exists as BigHit Music just fyi. Hybe is not just BigHit.
I agree with the op. This issue seems like a Source Music issue. Glam was under big hit specifically. I know Source is under Hybe labels, but it's still different companies

Bang PD will probably stay out involved in girls. His trauma is still there , the reason he left everything to source music to handle is probably that . If you observe his history he was a partner of JYP until he disagree with JYP to send wondergirls to America, then he left to create Big Hit the rest is history which you can understand from this video...if I'm not wrong he is reluctant to handle girls unlike his brother JYP who loves girls and is hard on boys
@@crimson_sky just look at Hybe now co-managing this group with SouMu, clearly they were disappointed with how Source Music handled the Gfriend thing so they won't trust them to manage the new group on their own. Hybe invested a lot in Gfriend in the last year, they wouldn't do that if they just wanted to disband them anyway, that's bad business.
They already got huge attention from korea to globally, great production team, high budget, great members. Lesserafim's toughest competition for ROTY right now is definitely IVE, it won't be easy to beat them unless they Bang Pd creates a masterpiece of a debut song that can top the charts
True. IVE is a monster rookie group right now. And the fact that their sales are high and their singles have been ranking high as well makes it a difficult competition. And you also can't underestimate Wonyoung's popularity in Korea. Sakura might have the edge with international fans, but Wonyoung's popularity is no joke in Korea.
It seems like will be pushing Kim guram to be the visual of the group..will she be a bigger it girl then wooyoung ..most likely not but as a group I am sure le serrafim has the upper edge. I feel like I've will have the same fate as Astro...

They will even grow bigger based on their potentials, I stan BLACKPINK and I see Ive taking kpop by storm also in the future.
the problem with Glam is that Dahee was an horrible person. I mean, I might understand where she came from since she was under so much debts that she had to repay. She was indebted concerned the company etc but overall, she shouldn’t have done that. She destroyed the possible future of many girls including Glam’s members. She could’ve done something else to earn money since a lot of idols and trainees even tho it’s so hard and they don’t have time since it’s so overbooked for them, they tend to find a part time job. Now, she served or is serving in prison and justice did their duty. No mistake from HYBE/ BigHit on this one because they couldn’t have known nor prevented it mostly if she didn’t have a past with blackmailing etc…
but I stay on the fact that Source Music did Gfriend dirty since they were so overworked that they decided that to rest, they had to disband when they didn’t even want to.
Then Pledis disbanded NuEst for NO REASON (I needed to mention that)
so except if the group of Le Sserafim (ok I literally think I botched the name) would be overworked or one of them will cause a bigger scandal than Dahee’s and bigger than Garam’s now with solid proofs. I don’t think they will disband after 2-3 years. I just hope Source will manage them well and not just k*ll them with work and people will stop trying to dig up dirt on idols/trainees and making lies just to destroy their career/upcoming career. a thing I still don’t understand
Some shady shit went down with Gfriend Source CEO were using the girls money to buy luxury cars even tho Gfriend were selling well the company was in debt and that why Bighit bought it in 2019 and loaned them some money which they were to make back but didn’t thats why Lesserafim is basically a Bighit group with Source just managing them while Bighit will be paying them fairly as soon as Sakura signed she became the 2nd highest paid female idol from Japan just off her contract alone

Well they also recruited a known sasaeng for the group (Trinity). And they also kicked out all of their female trainees after they terminated GLAM’s contracts and disbanded the group.

I mean, Blackpink is horribly mismanaged and they're still one of, if not the most successful kpop girl group right now. This group (and HYBE as a whole) are too big to fail.

You practically cannot back out and it you do you may get sued or ripped off of a lot of money which we already know their former manager did in 2020 or 2019. Also the company has burned or hidden their lyric books so they can’t write their own music and only gives them one comeback a year. Even Dreamcatcher from a way smaller company gets two solid comebacks per year plus typically Japanese release(s).

BigHit changed to HYBE. The umbrella company which supports the production and financial needs of the agencies under them.
BigHit Entertainment changed to BigHit Music, the agency that manages BTS and TXT.
If you actually listened to the HYBE quarterly press conference, they stated that the agencies they had acquired along with BigHit Labels are the one's who are responsible for the artists contract and management.
Therefore, the disbandment of GFriend was a decision of SourceMusic. SourceMusic probably cannot manage 2 girlgroups and that's their choice. HYBE is not exactly lacking on any money, they can provide financial support for many artists. Look at BigHit Labels, they're both managing BTS and TXT, both groups are active too.

exactly. hybe invested alot in gfriend after the source acquisition, the songs, the storyline, they even filmed their mvs with bighit main directors, the members participated alot in songs, the museum, and many more for them just to disbanded them so suddenly doesnt seem right to me. source music seems to only want to focus on 1 gg

Middle school bullying claims are so annoying to me cuz literally anyone can claim someone was a bully and also if they are true they are like literally 11-13 years old during that time they are allowed to make mistakes. Is bullying acceptable no but it shouldn’t deter somebody’s future because they were mean during puberty everyone deals with puberty and that awkward stage of life differently it doesn’t mean they can’t grow from it and become a good person cuz they weren’t the best person when they were 12. Technically middle school in Korea is from age 12-15 but yeah I mean we can’t even be sure if it’s her there have been many opposing claims. As she is an 05 liner she would’ve one graduated middle school in January or February of 2021 and she’s only just started her second year in high school. A lot of these claims I’ve heard are from 2020 (?) when she was in her last year of middle school aka 9th grade so she was 14 most likely since she’s born at the end of her year. But I heard things about her writing bad stuff about Ive and hybe being better but literally I’ve didn’t debut until December 2021 and hybe wasn’t merged until March 2021, both of which following her graduation from middle school so those literally can’t even be true.

They already had a popular girl group but made a huge mistake and cut their contract short a year before it was up. I will never forgive them for that.
Probably had a disagreement/falling out with source. Gfriend was their second big money maker after bts so doubt hybe themselves would sabotage themselves.

This may sound unbelievable to us, but in the end it's all about the money. That I don't approve of the decision to disband Gfriend is written in almost every one of my posts but I can understand it for economic reasons. Buy more physical albums, try harder to stream on Korean sites (not only UA-cam), be more active on social media.
I'm glad that you're still talking about GFriend and the connection between source music and HYBE. It's not just SouMu that played a part in GFriends disbandment. At the end of the day HYBE has a part to play too

Source music was acquired by big hit and became a subsidiary of that company. An acquisition occurs when one company takes control of, or acquires, another existing company. A subsidiary is a company controlled by the holding company. Although source music was in charge of managing the agency and producing the music, at the end of the day HYBE owns the agency and therefore has the most say in what happens with the future of the company and the direction they want to go in because they have a financial vested interest in the company.
So yes, although HYBE doesn't directly work with GFRIEND, they do have a part to play because they literally own the agency and have the power and funds to make these sorts of decisions
when gfriend disbanded, i was talking to my buddy friend and said that she won't be stanning the new girl group that they're going to debut next, so i also said the same. but when i saw the members, especially yunjin, who immediately became my bias, i changed my mind. they will surely get into my ultimate stan groups.
They might just do the same with this new group. Cut them off if it doesn't do well, but with the investment they will put into this group. It will be sucessful but who knows.

I am so so so excited for Le Sserafim and I think Kim Garam is going to be a superstar! Every kpop IT girl has had all sorts of rumours and sabotage attempts from IU to Blackpink Jennie. Le Sserafim is going to be massive!
The song and mv are great but I'm really uncomfortable knowing that some of the members are so young and the concept is so mature. They could've done this is a way that wasn't so sexualized and wait a couple years to break out sexy concepts

Yes that's right. They will get the hype you know but to remain consistent and really reach that level, you have to do something different, be relevant and getting connected with people. Blackpink, they don't seem to be singers to me, just money making machines, if you are singer, then connect people through your singing and show that you are really good at your job.
Sakura can't even sing or rap and she made it this far so yeah you only need a pretty face in kpop unfortunately.

I don't have any doubts that they will succeed, hybe and izone stans will make them popular no matter what. And it seems like the members are very skilled. I just hope that the music will be nice, and that hybe doesn't continue with their own trend of overusing voice effects. And, of course, that the members won't be overworked, considering the pressure they'll have with the concept (modelling aka selling the "perfect" image) and being from such a big company

Listen even if their song is decent or bad they will still win/succeed. Why? Because of the name behind them and their own. Kpop fans have never admit if their favorites release a bad song or an ok one they always say it’s a bop or whatever it’s just they way it is. Kpop fandom is the same as it was 10+ years ago. Today it’s all about who can get their group to the most views by any means possible or other weird ways. The only thing we can do is wait for the debut but even then it’s a sure thing as much as people won’t accept that just being from hybe will secure them success. Please don’t take this as hate towards the girls.

Everything is now all about their fame and there is nothing to do with music. nobody actually cares about music, fans just care fame of the group members and their company. im not saying that for everyone but most of them are like this. And this started to be irritating, this sector is getting worse. fans are hyped even if there is nothing different than other groups do.(of course someone can be excited i mean exaggeration..) i can't understand how someone can insanely support a group or a song even without listening it. this shows how biased they are.

Like for example when a group is formed even before their debut they already want them to win ROTY. Like let’s give them a year and see how the music and group are before saying a they should win the award. So many smaller company groups are insanely good but get overshadowed by big company groups or groups that have know members or family members that get catapulted to the top right away. People say they are kpop fans but they really are just company fans or member fans. If you like kpop give other artist a chance who knows maybe you’ll find something you’ll like even more. absolutely!! previously fans got angry because award shows were unfair to groups,having small companies. but now fans do the same. and once again they do not care about music therefore all songs are the same. they do repetitive songs with repetitive lyrics

The fact that the accuser twt accounts were deactivated is telling everyone everything they need to know. The truth always comes to light. People will only stay silent AFTER ALREADY SPEAKING OUT AND ACCUSING SOMEONE when they have lied. If they cared so much abt the issue they would not stay quiet.

Nah they won't especially how bad the glam situation went out hybe won't ever make any move that can effect there newly built image and with the hype and the resources they could make more moves that make any group big and I think this move will be a sight for the future of hybe without bts if they decide bts go to military (no final decision made from the government) and already having big name like sakura and cheawon that is not only big domestically but internationally it'll be interesting to see how hybe will operate since it's clear hybe pretty much have the best (overall) benefits an idol can have right now since they just let there artist do what they want and just step if things gets too out off hand especially now that they have most of the influence of kpop right now

Not a Garam enthusiast or hater but the case was blowing up everywhere so, i deep dived into it because i felt some things were fishy.
1. The Level 5 punishment which everyone was making a fuss about isn't that rare in Gyeongin middle school. Every school has different School Violence Committees and have their own levels of punishments. The least one being a written apology(Lv.1)while the harshest one was expulsion(Lv.9). Lv. 5 was Special Education/ Psychological treatment and Schools actually practice it more than Lv. 3-4 (School/community service) along with Lv. 2 (prohibiting contact with victim).
2. School Violence Committee isn't only held for "physical assault" like some ppl think. Kim Garam along with other 4 students was disciplined for VERBAL abuse and cyberbullying (There are no evidences of physical assault) after Yoo Eunseo(It's a pseudonym/ not the real name) transferred schools. Yoo Eunseo took obscene photos of Garam's friend and posted it on social media but wasn't punished and they probably cursed her out online. Yoo Eunseo took advantage of it and reported them before her transfer. (They were 6th-7th graders when this incident took place)
3. Yoo Eunseo was driven to commit s**cide bcz of Kim Garam. It was actually false rumor. Some netizens actually found her social media and threatened to dox her and release her personal information to the public. She became anxious and tried to commit the S-word. It's a recent incident.
4. Many people were coming out as victims of Kim Garam's bullying and one of them was Jang Hyunseo. He straight-up called Garam, a b!#@h and wrote many things describing her rotten attitude in middle school etc. etc. BUT this Jang Hyunseo never existed in the first place. He was just a made-up character who was used to add more fuel to the already raging fire. Probably a work of Garam Hate Club.
5. There was also a photo circulating of a group of girls wearing dark pink clothes. It was used as an evidence by another person claiming to be a victim to prove that they went to the same middle school as Garam. The photo actually existed in the internet way before it was posted by them. Therefore, another hater trying to sabotage Garam's reputation.
People making videos analyzing Garam's bad behavior, saying things like, "I knew she was a bully", "I didn't like her from the beginning" and calling her derogatory terms aren't serving any sort of justice. Y'all are just a bunch of cyber bullies yourself.

It's not gonna be a mistake, plus they are under source music which have experience with producing girlgroup (good and bad, the important it's they learned from multiple mistakes, bighit only tried once and never again so overall from hybe between bighit and source music, the later one is the best option to produce a new girlgroup) , i think their strategy into marketing them into fashion model it's ''innovative'', because rarely in the kpop world groups were marketed in that way so obviously, of course one of the main revenue for idols are brand endorsements so originally groups are created with an intent to touch certain type of luxury niche/brand and category of people. With LE SSERAFIM they are clearly presenting them from the start as the brand itself, in a sense that they won't need the help of famous luxury brand to add to their hype and glamourous image and it's working well looking at the 380 000+ preorder for their mini album. And that was before they actually debut live and from what i saw from their showcase their popularity will only increase in this year, because they are indeed talented, professional and charismatic on stage.

I personally think that lessaerafim is like a hit or miss grp.now becuz of the hifty promotions n all we can see that they hav indeed gotten good resources etc now everything depends solely on the music of their grp especially becuz of the scandals they've gotten into ppl are either gonna love them forgetting everything about that garam scandal or just hate them .. I'm not really excited tho but if they sound good i may change my mind especially this year the only grp i was excited for was nmixx but they were such a big dissappointment for me so I don't wanna keep my hopes up again.

As I learned before, Source Music wanted to disband GFriend because they wanted to work with Hybe to use all their resources on a new girl group they thought would get more attention. I mean, companies do it all the time and it makes sense, YG did it with 2NE1 before they debuted Blackpink (another example is that Pledis did it with Pristin before they debuted fromis_9)
