Day6 really gotten big in 2020 (Zombie really got me right on my feelings). Sadly that is when they decided to have their hiatus. I'm still hoping for sungjin and jae's recovery and come back anytime soon. And I would really love to hear them all together live since I am only a recent/new fan of day6. They were the ones who made me cling to kpop aside from twice because of them, being a real band. And also the stigma for men listening to kpop have lessen a bit. So yeah, more power to mydays and day6. And i hope the mistreatment in diff recording companies would stop so that we won't see any farewells like the groups that jyp had.

i don't see enough praise for got7 so seems like i gotta be the one to do it. these guys debuted on the billboard album charts with their debut album, quite literally saving jype from bankruptcy. despite being sabotaged by the company they remained their top selling artists in physical albums AND tours. their impact on jype and kpop is there and whoever says otherwise is just blind
they could have easily defeated exo and bts. they were very strong. they had good visuals,artists from south east asia,china,hongkong,korea. and their influence was constantly rising but when they were going to be unbeatable this clown jyp poop mistreated them. he stopped all the activities of them. and favoured the girl groups like twice. i know jyp poop is a womaniser but favouritism has a limit.
Plus GOT7 members have really impactful with their solo activities, magazine shooting, as brand ambassador, solo music, acting , modeling, and some more Mark, Jackson and BanBam Sold out solo fan meeting. GOT7 sold out their World Tour and yeah they are huge

I agree. Rain was HUGE in my country in the 00s..and I wasn't even into kpop then but I knew about him and even watched him on MTV TRL. It's just that these days it's so much easier to make someone trend with all the social media and stuff, but Rain was even voted as TIME magazine's most influential person multiple times and it's mindblowing how he even had a lead role in a hollywood film. I remember he even had a dance off with Stephen Colbert lol.

Even if I hate JYP for what he did to GOT7 and miss A, my ultimate boy and girl group since 2015, I'm so thankful for the fact that he created them in the first place. Also JYP's doing great with Itzy and SKZ right now. I hope he doesn't put more talent to waste.

Stray Kids is the group that got me into Kpop in 2019. I am so happy that it's them. That self-producing thing makes them so special and unique and it's not common to see a group that produced EVERY SINGLE SONG from their predebut period till the present+ Bang Chan picked members himself

The real reason why jyp ent. Is famous is bcoz jyp chooses charming personality bcoz vocals and dance are something which can be trained by time but having a charming is something not everyone has....
JYPE really have a good eye in selecting trainee.. for me, they have the most talented artist to date..a lot of big names in kpop rn was originally from JYPE.. like JYPE is a professional artist maker in kpop. and most of their idol can write their own lyrics and some can produce their own music..
I love 2PM, 2AM, Miss A, Wonder Girls, GOT7, Twice, ITZY and every single one. I learned a lot about Kpop from JYP. Not that it's the best company in the world, but I met groups of boys and groups of girls through them.

STANDOUT! the problem with ITZY is... Yeji and Ryujin alongside Yuna also are huge and extremely popular. Yeji for her talent and looks. Ryujin for her charisma and Viral moments, girl goes viral 2-3 times a YEAR! since debut and even pre-debut. Lia has potential if she finds her confidence and chaeryeong as well but she needs to work at standing out against her members.

It's sometime hard for general KPOP people to understand what happened with NiziU as most of the stuff people put out is like. "OMG my fav group x sold 30,000 albums in Japan. Most sold KPOP Artist ever from a debut in Japan. Band X kings/queens of Japan." They just don't hear about the non KPOP explicit groups selling 400,000+ albums as they never look to figure out how their artist actually performed against the real Japanese groups. It's like saying. "Kaachi sold 100 Albums in Korea, Most non Korean debut group to sell albums in Korea. Kaachi queens of Korea..."

My TWICE queens! TWICE is truly the face of JYPE. I appreciate all Jyp groups but Twice hits different for me. Their music is so catchy and is evolving too. Although I strongly dislike how JYPE promotes his groups, I really hope the company continues to produce amazing artists.
Tbh day6 as a band in kpop is amazing like they have done a lot and make them big so that ppl can get to know bands and realize there is amazing groups that dont need to dance to be succesful! stan day6. Mabye they are not that big as other groups but they def. Are big and succesful and so talented. Btw they write and produce their own songs!
JYP has a habit of taking money one artist earns and make and then uses that money not to promote the artist who made it but use it for a whole other project and leave the artist who earned it in the dust.

As a human resource management student I have to give a shout to JYP.. it's amazing. Even with all the difficulties and problems the company is one of the three biggest of the whole kpop industry.
I love the sound that JYP groups have, they're special and unique. Despite all the failures of the company I love JYP's groups and songs. I hope that in the future, they can achieve all that success worldwide 💖
G.o.d deserves more recognition when they are called nations idol still to this day. They paved the way for Kpop idols so as h.o.t ,s.e.s,turbo,roora,sechkies,uhm junghwa and many more
im a jyp stan, but i dont stan the company, i stan the artists😌❤️ edit: ik that jyp groups wouldn’t even be able to debut without the company, but that’s the only thing i like about jyp, their groups and soloists. after debuting i hate how they mistreat their artists by barely giving them rest, or giving them 1 comeback a year. plus, they don’t always handle scandals and other situations well, and sometimes don’t give their artists the correct promotion either, that’s the point im trying to make here :)
People may hate JYP but I think he's one of a kind, he has vision, talent and knows what he's doing, I understand why people don't like him and I might be because the bad management for most of their groups but remember now JYPE and J.Y Park are two things apart. I believe he has an eye for talent and we all can se that in all the idols they have debut not only the company but maybe even for some others like you know Jhope, who auditioned for JYPE buy J.YPark decided he would fit better in bighit, and he was right. I think he could really se something special and identified theirs strength and weakness.
No matter the history and what will transpire next, I’m happy and proud that I shed tears for JYPE and will shed tears- happy or sad, for JYPE only. This company had given me the highs and lows that I’m very much grateful for. The artists and the management are close to my heart. Been here since 2nd gen and I’m glad to stay, of course supporting both of those who left and remained.
2PM worked hard in overseas(specially in Japan) for the JYP ent.'s future(they even kinda lost their popularity in Korea bcz of it)... and even for now there's no replacements for them... Rain and Wonder Girls made the foundation for the new artist. of course Mr.J.Y. Park also did so much things to come this far. and.. Twice, Stray kids and Got7.. do I have to say anything.
JYP is a pretty good company, but had troubles with managing. That's why JYP created the company under company tactic. He has a smaller sub-unit company manage one group and their artists, because he realized it was getting harder to manage his groups. Twice was the guinea pigs and you see how that worked out, sadly it was implemented after GOT7's debut, so it would be hard to just randomly create a sub-unit in the middle and change the amount of paper work etc. it would change ties and other stuff. If he had tried it out earlier he would have rivaled BTS with GOT7. But yeah JYP is known for the personality and star power of their idols. NiziU's final scores were almost entirely based on their personalities.
Just a correction: Fei and Jia from Miss A aren't the first foreign idols from JYPE, Nichkhun from 2PM is Thai, his family comes from China, and he was born in California, he's the first Thai idol to make his debut in Korea, and he made it big, it's sad how people seem to forget that easily
RAIN introduced me to JYPE. I can still remember how obsessed I was with Rain during Full House era and Rain was all about his mentor (JYP) teaching him and composing songs for him. 2PM made me into a JYP stan- that senior group really loved and took care of their labelmates and juniors well, I ended up supporting all JYPE artists including JY Park himself. My stand on JYPE will always be the same despite how things ended up with GOT7; there's no perfect agency but JYPE is the best among any Korean agencies. Unlike other agencies, who would get an already big stars in the industry and promote them. JYPE hones talents, trains them well and promotes them by division (i hate Division 2, I love Division 1). JYPE is the company that knetz and people loves to drag down, people have been wanting this agency out of BIG 3 since 2014/2015 yet they're still standing strong. I'm excited to see what the future awaits for JYPE and I wish for them to learn for the mistakes they did in the past (like how they learned from WG and MISS A with TWICE).

Plus Twice aren’t getting the American exposure they need because Jype isn’t promoting them at all in America. Tzuyu said in a Vlive with Momo that she wanted to try a hairstyle but some people(jype) wouldn’t let her. Their were also another time where Jyp didnt like Jeongyeon with long hair. When I’m saying mistreatment I feel like twice aren’t getting the freedom they deserve compared to the other groups under JYPE (not trying to be offensive). Some other groups are able to post covers on UA-cam, and are being promoted in America. Why can’t JYPE do the same for Twice?
Say what you will about JYP, but man his company is something else. Most other companies have like a few groups that really stand out, meanwhile JYP manages to pump them out consistently
I'm watching this in 2022 and I have to give it to both Twice and Stray Kids. They've both made massive inroads in the west recently and are holding down the fort! I hope ITZY can reclaim their musical identity, that XH can gain more recognition for their insane talent, and that NMIXX can prove to the world they are also ultra talented and can sing and dance circles around most idols in the industry.
Despite everything that had happened in SM Ent. , I see older groups still live on and making comebacks/still hang around in SM. The veterans are there and pretty much active. Unlike in JYPE where older groups are disbanding/members don’t renew their contracts, the veterans of JYPE are just fleeing. That says something about the company and the major owner (JYP himself whom I think kinda full of himself sometimes). Also they overwork TWICE and underwork the rest. Oh, I am a ONCE btw.
It's kinda sad how no one is giving 2pm enough recognition. Everybody in the comment section is talking about how got7 and twice "saved" jyp when they were rookies. That's just not true, at that time and until 2017 2pm was the one bringing the money and it was confirmed by Junho who is a memeber of 2pm in happy together with twice members in front of him. Got7 and Twice have done enough things for jype that they don' t need to be credited for things they didn't do when its more harmful for them than good.
Ikr! Even now Junho brought in a lot of money due to his ads. Remember he had to perform for 2 years while injured to help feed the family. The four members of 2PM who are still in JYP are now directors though unregistered.
Twice is basically JYPs lifes work. He created a group, whos success he might never be able to copy again. Not because of his ability, but because of the organic and sustainable way Twice earned their fans and expanded their fandom. This is not planable, this was a mix of great work, and perfect timing.
just wanted to add that got7 was the reason why jype decided to have the salaries of their artists become more favored to the company, rather than the artists themselves! this was the reason why got7 was mistreated towards the end of their stay in jype; because each comeback they would have, majority of the sales would go into their pockets. hence, jype focused more on young artists to earn more money for the company!
I'm just sad Suzy wasn't mentioned here, but yeah, we can't deny JYP created legendary groups, but sometimes it's too overwhelming that some groups are left behind in terms of promotions, notably the boy groups.
The group that got me into K-Pop was a band called The Rose under the label of J&Star Entertainment. The song that got me into them was their debut song "sorry". I loved their vocals and how they played the instruments. Sadly, The Rose has filed a lawsuit against J&Star Entertainment so that they can terminate their contract because of mistreatment, Too much work or being overworked, haven't been paid.

JYP has overworked and mismanaged their artists like got7 and day6. So to sum it all up, its better to stan the artists instead of the companies.

something to admit is that the man is best at finding talents, trained them, and put them together while also differentiate their color so none of every group overlapped. he is really a star maker and businessman. Yeah, despite all the mistreatment stuffs and idols disbandment/discontinuing, I still think JYP is one of the better company out there with somewhat positive image. (I mean... every company will have its fair share of idol mismanagement/mistreatment) They really do produce great idols who are relatable and have great personality. Tho one thing I find interesting is that.... most jyp artists.... have this... athletic vibes to them. A lot of them feels like that popular kids in school who do sports and have great personality, especially when compared to other company's idols. Like how SM's idols often feel like the perfect elite kids, YG's idols are the cool rebellious kids. I'm not saying other companies' idols don't have great personality, but it's just some common vibe they kinda share among their labelmates.
it's such a shame that kpop fans largely disregard Day6 because they're not a dance group. they're constantly glossed over because they're not as commercially successful and I genuienly don't understand why. they ooze talent, skill and hard work. they write and compose every single one of their songs, the 4/5 members who sing could each easily be the main singer of other groups, plus they have great personalities and yet JYP never did jackshit to properly promote them. so yeah. i'd fistfight everyone in charge of this company in a heartbeat

I agree. Rain was HUGE in my country in the 00s..and I wasn't even into kpop then but I knew about him and even watched him on MTV TRL. It's just that these days it's so much easier to make someone trend with all the social media and stuff, but Rain was even voted as TIME magazine's most influential person multiple times and it's mindblowing how he even had a lead role in a hollywood film. I remember he even had a dance off with Stephen Colbert lol.

It's sometime hard for general KPOP people to understand what happened with NiziU as most of the stuff people put out is like. "OMG my fav group x sold 30,000 albums in Japan. Most sold KPOP Artist ever from a debut in Japan. Band X kings/queens of Japan." They just don't hear about the non KPOP explicit groups selling 400,000+ albums as they never look to figure out how their artist actually performed against the real Japanese groups. It's like saying. "Kaachi sold 100 Albums in Korea, Most non Korean debut group to sell albums in Korea. Kaachi queens of Korea..."
NiziU should handle the Japanese market and TWICE can focus more on Korean comebacks and expanding internationally.

My TWICE queens! TWICE is truly the face of JYPE. I appreciate all Jyp groups but Twice hits different for me. Their music is so catchy and is evolving too. Although I strongly dislike how JYPE promotes his groups, I really hope the company continues to produce amazing artists.

Mabye they are not that big as other groups but they def. Are big and succesful and so talented. Btw they write and produce their own songs!
JYP has a habit of taking money one artist earns and make and then uses that money not to promote the artist who made it but use it for a whole other project and leave the artist who earned it in the dust.

People may hate JYP but I think he's one of a kind, he has vision, talent and knows what he's doing, I understand why people don't like him and I might be because the bad management for most of their groups but remember now JYPE and J.Y Park are two things apart. I believe he has an eye for talent and we all can se that in all the idols they have debut not only the company but maybe even for some others like you know Jhope, who auditioned for JYPE buy J.YPark decided he would fit better in bighit, and he was right. No matter the history and what will transpire next, I’m happy and proud that I shed tears for JYPE and will shed tears- happy or sad, for JYPE only. This company had given me the highs and lows that I’m very much grateful for. The artists and the management are close to my heart. JYP is a pretty good company, but had troubles with managing. That's why JYP created the company under company tactic. He has a smaller sub-unit company manage one group and their artists, because he realized it was getting harder to manage his groups. Twice was the guinea pigs and you see how that worked out, sadly it was implemented after GOT7's debut, so it would be hard to just randomly create a sub-unit in the middle and change the amount of paper work etc. it would change ties and other stuff. If he had tried it out earlier he would have rivaled BTS with GOT7. But yeah JYP is known for the personality and star power of their idols. NiziU's final scores were almost entirely based on their personalities.

Just a correction: Fei and Jia from Miss A aren't the first foreign idols from JYPE, Nichkhun from 2PM is Thai, his family comes from China, and he was born in California, he's the first Thai idol to make his debut in Korea, and he made it big, it's sad how people seem to forget that easily
Well, people forgot because their popularity and its normal. Not everyone will be remembered
RAIN introduced me to JYPE. I can still remember how obsessed I was with Rain during Full House era and Rain was all about his mentor (JYP) teaching him and composing songs for him.
2PM made me into a JYP stan- that senior group really loved and took care of their labelmates and juniors well, I ended up supporting all JYPE artists including JY Park himself.
My stand on JYPE will always be the same despite how things ended up with GOT7; there's no perfect agency but JYPE is the best among any Korean agencies. Unlike other agencies, who would get an already big stars in the industry and promote them. JYPE hones talents, trains them well and promotes them by division (i hate Division 2, I love Division 1). JYPE is the company that knetz and people loves to drag down, people have been wanting this agency out of BIG 3 since 2014/2015 yet they're still standing strong. I'm excited to see what the future awaits for JYPE and I wish for them to learn for the mistakes they did in the past (like how they learned from WG and MISS A with TWICE).

Some other groups are able to post covers on UA-cam, and are being promoted in America.

I'm watching this in 2022 and I have to give it to both Twice and Stray Kids. They've both made massive inroads in the west recently and are holding down the fort! I hope ITZY can reclaim their musical identity, that XH can gain more recognition for their insane talent, and that NMIXX can prove to the world they are also ultra talented and can sing and dance circles around most idols in the industry.
Despite everything that had happened in SM Ent. , I see older groups still live on and making comebacks/still hang around in SM. The veterans are there and pretty much active.
Unlike in JYPE where older groups are disbanding/members don’t renew their contracts, the veterans of JYPE are just fleeing. That says something about the company and the major owner (JYP himself whom I think kinda full of himself sometimes).
Also they overwork TWICE and underwork the rest. Oh, I am a ONCE btw.
It's kinda sad how no one is giving 2pm enough recognition. Everybody in the comment section is talking about how got7 and twice "saved" jyp when they were rookies. That's just not true, at that time and until 2017 2pm was the one bringing the money and it was confirmed by Junho who is a memeber of 2pm in happy together with twice members in front of him. Got7 and Twice have done enough things for jype that they don' t need to be credited for things they didn't do when its more harmful for them than good.

Twice is basically JYPs lifes work. He created a group, whos success he might never be able to copy again. Not because of his ability, but because of the organic and sustainable way Twice earned their fans and expanded their fandom. This is not planable, this was a mix of great work, and perfect timing.

just wanted to add that got7 was the reason why jype decided to have the salaries of their artists become more favored to the company, rather than the artists themselves!
this was the reason why got7 was mistreated towards the end of their stay in jype; because each comeback they would have, majority of the sales would go into their pockets. hence, jype focused more on young artists to earn more money for the company!

I'm just sad Suzy wasn't mentioned here, but yeah, we can't deny JYP created legendary groups, but sometimes it's too overwhelming that some groups are left behind in terms of promotions, notably the boy groups.
The group that got me into K-Pop was a band called The Rose under the label of J&Star Entertainment. The song that got me into them was their debut song "sorry". I loved their vocals and how they played the instruments. Sadly, The Rose has filed a lawsuit against J&Star Entertainment so that they can terminate their contract because of mistreatment, Too much work or being overworked, haven't been paid.
i'm honestly just so proud of got7 and i'm so curious to see their next steps now that they are out of this horrible company.

@@edward8459 If we're going to be honest, all companies have their pros and cons. Some overwork their idols, some oversexualize them, some would mistreat their artists. JYP has overworked and mismanaged their artists like got7 and day6. So to sum it all up, its better to stan the artists instead of the companies.
@@edward8459 i'm not saying jype is worse than other companies but there are a lot of people who actually think jyp is a good and less bad. i'm an ahgase and i know jype treated got7 really unfairly, you can watch a video named got7 being mistreated by jyp for 14 minutes straight just to see a glimpse of the things it has been occurring. you can also search about what jay park says about jyp and jype as well.
something to admit is that the man is best at finding talents, trained them, and put them together while also differentiate their color so none of every group overlapped. he is really a star maker and businessman. The only thing I don't like about him is his self-centered ego and I don't think anyone would disagree with that.

Yeah, despite all the mistreatment stuffs and idols disbandment/discontinuing, I still think JYP is one of the better company out there with somewhat positive image. (I mean... every company will have its fair share of idol mismanagement/mistreatment) They really do produce great idols who are relatable and have great personality.
Tho one thing I find interesting is that.... most jyp artists.... have this... athletic vibes to them. A lot of them feels like that popular kids in school who do sports and have great personality, especially when compared to other company's idols. Like how SM's idols often feel like the perfect elite kids, YG's idols are the cool rebellious kids. I'm not saying other companies' idols don't have great personality, but it's just some common vibe they kinda share among their labelmates.

it's such a shame that kpop fans largely disregard Day6 because they're not a dance group. they're constantly glossed over because they're not as commercially successful and I genuienly don't understand why. they ooze talent, skill and hard work. they write and compose every single one of their songs, the 4/5 members who sing could each easily be the main singer of other groups, plus they have great personalities and yet JYP never did jackshit to properly promote them. so yeah. i'd fistfight everyone in charge of this company in a heartbeat
SOO TRUE.... they are considered successful in terms of bands in korea but they deserve so much more.
if Jae was given opportunity to handle promotion he could do so much better than what stuj is doing for them.
