Nice vid, good tips. But instead of using a brush to un-harden the dry suede, you can use a small rounded nail filer. I use a round staple remover i took from an old job and it works so good to bring back the hairiness of the suede.
Great take. I do struggle with grey suede. It gets darker in the back and next to first lace hole and I am not sure it’s due to decolorisarion or just dirty and need to scrub more. Still wonder;) cheers
Every pair I’ve had it always darkens over time. It’s most likely just from dirt and extended wear. I’ll have to try and find a way to revive that beautiful light grey suede

Curious why you opt for the school eraser over the suede eraser?
I wanted to use something that was super easy to find and cheap

That water killed the suede and didn’t make it any cleaner than it looked after just the eraser
That’s what the mink oil is for. It will bring back the color and soften the hardened suede. I just didn’t have any at the moment

Cleaning suede is always tough. If they caught a lot of sun they just get cooked, but I kinda like that faded look :)
The faded look is ideal. It adds character!
