Having those extra gears definitely helps even though the ratio of the first six gears is about the same as the manual (probably to mimic the characteristic).
I always find it more exciting to watch a stock car go round the Ring... the amount of steering correction is so obvious compared to a modified car with upgraded suspension

Yes the grip of the Yaris is and was stunning .. love the balance. The top speed limiter was 230 with the previous model .. now 240. but without limiter it’s 260

Finde das Facelift echt gelungen .. innen wie außen und technisch sowieso 👍🏼
Toyota scheint echt einen guten job mit dem GR Yaris gemacht zu haben. Dennoch schade das uns der GR Corolla fehlt den würde ich gerne mal im vergleich zum GR Yaris sehen.

Mir fiel auf das der Tacho über 230 geht, was ist mit der Spassbremse ?

Hello, the traction mode is TRACK? Do you feel different from previous version? Now is dynamic between 70 rear 30 front , 40 rear 60 front. The first version de SPORT mode was fixed the distribution of the torque. Do you feel more understeer? Thank You, nice drive!
@@tronracing i think I drove in gravel mode 50:50 .. that was like track mode before .. but have to test next time a bit of the new track mode is working on track 👍🏼 there was no alignment etc .. yes understeering was there .. but that’s how the 1gen works also stock

Toyota dealer will explain. Shortly, you cannot use the car on track. One track lap and warranty is cancelled. Remember that Toyota has GPS always on. To be fully honest it's up to them now will they process with your warranty request or just say that you were driving a car at track. In reality, people had the warranty cancelled. As a gen1 owner it's a real f&&&k up from Toyota. I decided to not use the extended warranty option because of this. They play an unfair game where the customer is a fool. They pay every blogger to drive at track and once the owner does that they are free to cancel the warranty. I'm writing that because we as a society need to stop such behavior from each and any manufacturer. You sell it as a track, sport car, you should keep warranty until the car is not modified...
on UA-cam you can find few evidences. I heard this from the dealer personally. So I changed all the fluids in the car to not "eco friendly" and decided there is no sense to extend the warranty
The seats are lower than the previous model 👍🏼 but got new (VERY COOL) seats with even lower console .. wider tyres on hot light wheels .. exhaust is coming .. and lower suspension. Technical wise I think just an oilcooler for the diff
@@m4u5 it’s not optional .. when you have automatic you have the cooler .. manual not. That’s Hörspiel can recognize „the transmission“ from far away 😅

I saw temps like 100-120 degrees maybe all the time, it's kinda blurry so hard to see, but isn't it dangerous to have those temps constantly? I heard it's better to stay under 100
ja klar .. der GT4 ist ein top Tracktool .. der GR Yaris ist ein FUNtool ;) und wenns regnet macht er besonders viel Spass und ist schneller als der GT4 ;-)

@@triedproven9908 put the Porsche on a snowy winter road against the Yaris and watch it struggle. Different cars for different purposes, the Yaris is not really a car made for this kind of tracks, it’s still fun and reasonable fast as you can see.
Definitely not pooping on the Yaris it's doing its part for sport hatches, but xthilox has far surpassed anything it can ultimately offer. Where do you go from 718 is a really good question though.

This looks so much faster than the rental GR Yaris I rented in Japan last week. Mine was under powered (hwy drive only)

I think the first mod wil be a propper alignment to prevent that understeer in the corners.
Hey man do like with automatic is very fast many saying automatic much faster more fun more smooth quick change gear.

Wish it had the 2.4L Turbo out of the Hylander/Kluger with a bit more spice, now it's sharing the same box.

I have no idea. The Golf has much more power but is heavier…the handling and performance of the GR should be much better ..
Feels pretty SUV-ish... probably it will change a lot with a different alignment.
