  • I gave a subscriber $100+$20 to buy me ingredients for a mead/wine. Two years later, we're tasting the final bottled brew! This included brewing with, dehydrated marshmallows, acai powder, szechuan peppercorns, hyssop tea, mandarin oranges, beet root powder, mosaic hops, date syrup, white honey, canned lychees, and licorice root! Thanks for the amazing time RubDuckSu!

The final ABV for this was around 9%. 🍻

Next challenge, same premise but with a honey base

Yeah, I was a little bummed that there was only like a half a pound of honey in here!

You guys did a fantastic job with the chaos I sent you! When you pulled out the ingredients, you could tell I was a novice still making 1 gallon batches😅 But it was a really good sipper that made a couple great nights!

Hard ingredients! Looks like you did it. I have a oolong, yuzu and szechuan peppercorn mead going, it is yummy so far.

I was really blown away at just how intense the Szechuan peppercorns are. Even blending the two batches it’s still such a strong flavor.

@DointheMost I am trialing tinctures this weekend. I made szechuan and a pink peppercorn tincture. I am hoping it will help me not overpower all the other flavors.

Super fun idea. Nice to see a long form video like this showing the development. Would not complain if there were more long form videos coming out!

Fun, date syrup is really interesting. I love dates in a berry wine/mead. Gives it a rich fig/tobacco undertone. Never though of just using syrup

They have it at our local Asian market for pretty cheap. I need to do a test batch of just pure date syrup sometime, maybe OG 1.100 or so.
