Because i would love and HUD display that shows oil temp oil pressure battery, g force etc racing shit) I bought a gt86 2020 recently and you, speed academy and savagegeese inspired me to get the last of the first gen. I have bo regret to daily it. Dunno when itll start rusting i live in canada and driving it first winter
I just picked up KW Clubsports for my 86 Daily Track Car and god damn the car is faster through corners and that's just on my daily BFG Comp2 a/s tires, I can't wait to hit the track next month on my 200tw Maxxis VR-1s. I was wondering what suspension settings have been working for you so I can hit the ground running with a good starting point set up on track? I'm also a big fan of the cleib and its niche JDMness so I'm picking one up next pay check.
Also, how are you finding the tread life on the RE71Rs? I have a 225/45/r17 on the stock BRZ Sport-tech RS rims and they only lasted 3 track days (on the driver side.. passenger side is still good). I'm wondering if I went wider tire/rim if they'd last a bit longer.
There's a lot of factors that come into play like alignment, tire pressures and track surface but I think these will last me another 2 days before they are shot. I have about 3,000km's on them and 4 track days so I'd say the tread life is still bad.
@@maxsdriven Take a look at A052's from Yokohama. You'll gain grip and get better life out of them than the 71R. RS4's will definitely last longer but you will ultimately be a lot slower with the grip loss.

Killed it! What a great feeling when a lap finally comes together. Its a shame that the windows were so overexposed. If you mount the cam closer to the front window that should go away. Sweet run though, almost flawless except for a couple tiny tiny spots. The car seemed spot on too but I think thats to be expected at this point. lol Congrats man!
Yeah I might just need to tweak the settings on the go pro! Wasn't feeling confident at all in the setup with the cold track temps but still glad I broke the barrier. Only going up from here!
Nice! My wife said I won’t be happy with a brz because it’s not a turbo like my current wrx. I smile with a grin and i say to her, “the wrx can’t rev to 7400 rpm and turn on a dime.” The brz to me is like the old high revving vtec hondas but is rwd instead of fwd.

@@JasonHoangGT Thanks! I'm probably going to get some wider rims and try 255 size RS4s and see if I can keep the grip but add some longer life.
