      Damn! I watch this movie and I so wish I could go back to those days. I'm from '64 but the 70's were my childhood! Carefree summers in southern California, actually watching "Jaws" and "Star Wars" at the theater when they first came out, bell bottoms, halter tops, great rock 'n roll music, etc...

    I really enjoyed Dazed And Confused. I watch it every so often and it's still hits home. It reminded me alot of my high school years. I was in my mid 20s when D & C was released, but the country wasn't that much different from the time I graduated school in 1984 to the early-mid 90s. Kids still partied in the woods, hung out and planned debauchery and keggers during lunch and recess, and we tripped face on occasions. I used to love dropping mescaline or drinking shrooms Kool Aid. They were definitely some eye opening moments. Boy how the worlds changed in the 25 years since this films release and not for the better. PpP VTLM!

      It’s because Shawn Andrews disappeared into thin air after this movie :( he’s made a discreet number indie movies but apart from that he hasn’t really worked much. I believe the way he behaved on set in Dazed was part of the problem, and the reason why he didn’t manage to get more parts in mainstream movies in the future :( too bad, because I love Pickford and Andrews has nice expressivity and body language that are good for acting.

    • @marcribaudo1965
      @marcribaudo1965 6 років тому +24

      McConnahey and Affleck are both pretty high on the most successful list from the group from D&C, but Affleck edges him out. Personally I think their both good actors but I prefer McConnahey's acting chops over Affleck's. I just watched the Lincoln Lawyer yesterday and the guy can be great in the right films. Personally I think Affleck is a douche like his little brother Casey. Mila is awesome too, but comparing the Resident Evil films to what McConnahey and Affleck have accomplished is crazy. Affleck is also probably the richest of the pack and has more pull in Hollywood.

C'mon, we were in high school, those were new cars then... But everything else is how it was, even how they talk. I miss it man. Cruising the streets, drinking beer, looking for chicks, rocking Led Zeppelin on the radio loud. Everybody was out and about then, there was no internet. So we cruised around, went to party's just like in the show. That's what we did then. I feel sorry for this generation today, I feel we had better music and alot more fun.

      Max Dayton One of my favorite movies ever (if not THE favorite). Aside from it being about American kids in high school where football and football players rule the school, the film could have been about me and my high school friends up here in Canada.
      However, I know I am not alone in this thinking which I believe is one of the main reasons why, along with the fact it was a great movie, so many people not only loved it but can also relate to it so much. It's one of the very few movies I will stop whatever I am doing and watch for at least a few minutes (ok usually till it's over) any time I see it on TV.
