Not the crowd I would hang out with, but recently got to know a addict when I was renting a room. This guy was hard working and very honest a sincere person. I moved out and later read he was killed while he was high and started a fire by accident. 3rd degree burns over the majority of his body. Survived the fire, but died from the burns a few days later. Hopefully this woman gets some treatment and does not have a tragic ending.

She's my age. After I got out of prison back in October of 2015, I had nothing. I could've stayed at people's houses while I worked and saved for 1st, last, and security, but I got myself in my own mess, so I will get myself out... myself. I was homeless from Oct 2015 to May 2016, and it was actually crazier than prison imo. Breaking into summer rentals just to shower and stay warm at night. Sleeping outside. Washing up at my work bathroom at 5am. It sucked but I did it. I hope the best for this woman. She will do it if she really wants to♥️

I had to endure not one, but two brutal winters so thank the lord she is at least in a warm climate. She seems like a very intelligent, well spoken woman. Being homeless is the absolute worse. I was homeless twice in 2012 and again in 2013. Once from my ex assaulting me and I had nowhere to go and then after getting myself a good career and apt, I got in car accident at work and workers comp didn’t even pay half of my rent. It is the most devastating thing that can happen to you. Sleeping in your car in the cold winter, you feel absolutely lost and worthless to the people around you.
I hope she can pull herself out of this, get sober and restart her life. I know she’s heartbroken over the custody loss..but she can turn it around. My ex won our case temporarily and I fought and fought and got my kid back. Even if it’s just visitation it’s much more than she has now. I truly hope she can turn her life around, best of luck to her and much love sent her way ❤

I Read you saying Addiction is the Devil.
But, the Devil is my Device. Otherwise we (edited this from You to We...first rule to all of this, dont get carried away, sorry. But the Flame is The Key, that is a human in its very core, the propellant of life so to call it, so its hard work balancing the Two but i Love it. ;D) would be Like Cows in the Meadow, Jus grazin it away in the sunset, noone the wiser. ;D
And, you havent quite located it accurately.
He is the Master of Disguise, remember ?
Ah, but ok since the Time has Come again, I will Tell you a few things, and I guess this Time, wel Kick it off, like in a real Foothball game, a whole team of players!
Because, remember that i have sown the Seeds? ;D
So, Addiction or great variety of other expressions which i have made to serve my Device are outter First Layers of Defense. and that is just a layer of defense, pay attention to details, just a layer of defense, nothing to my ingenious Device of cours as we peel down, it can get to something.
      And Guess What! :;D
Your Body, your Eyes and Ears, and anything else with wich you can pick up outside information or stimuli, And from the inside of you, like when you just stop and check whats up with you or whatever, just about this endless pages can be written, what a mess...anyway.
You are the Counter Device! :D
      Use it.
It starts with Me, with You, i got better, less bad habbits, more good habbits, and thats it.
It is me and you, that sustain this Civilisation as it is, and Between the first layeres, of homelesnes and addictions, and whatnot else, the last layer is You, which is the Civilisation.
Which is the Device in the Core of cours.
No bad man or woman can destroy all good men and woman, and no good man and woman can destroy all bad man or woman. I take care of that. Cause its the percentages battle, Just like with your Economical systems, Trade and whatnot.
Currently we are at 45% awakened beings, once its majority shareholding, over 51%, then it kicks in automatic, and people will start saying and accepting that life is good and that anyone who thinks otherwise is a fool, or fighting with windmills. ,D
This is Almost Unimaginable Play we are all In.
      From a Human Perspective.
But what a Beautiful and Dreadful perspective it is.

Homelessness is not as big problem in conservative cities, but there is an explanation for it. The main reason for homelessness is fentanyl, and other drugs addiction believe it or not. If you do not believe me, you can find Michael Shellenberger's interviews here on UA-cam. Liberal cities have laws that attract homeless because addicts can support their addiction there more easily. The main one is you are allowed to steal from stores for up to $950 in Cali, and no one will bother you, police will not even come even if they had an officer available. In my town the law says you can steal up to $500 worth of items, and that nothing, so there are no as many homeless like in Cali but we have almost as good camping weather as southern Cali. I go to Texas, and they do not have such law that you can just steal from stores as you wish, so their addicts migrates to the west coast where they can simply support their addiction. Stealing from stores, they call it boosting.

I know these types well. I do a lot of work with people like this in Kensington Philadelphia. She lost custody for a good reason most likely. If this was a man everyone would think immediately it was his fault and he was a "loser". When it is a beautiful woman, we think she must be a victim. Men especially will feel like they need to be her white knight. This woman likely gets nice guys wanting to help her out all the time with an intention of it leading to "romance". Seen it 1000 times and those guys always get hustled and burnt. This is how a woman like her gets by. She will play the victim and blame her drug addiction on everyone else. In this case she blames it on the loss of a custody battle. The key is she said, "I won and then lost". She most likely had a bad addiction and wasn't caring for the child properly. Believe me the state and justice system will do everything in their power to assure the woman gets custody rights. In a man's case he can be a great man but still lose custody rights. Sad fact about our system. She is where is wants to be and has no one to blame but herself. When she admits this then recovery can begin.

"people are not a product of their environments but rather the choices they make"
Let's take a step back and look at this for a moment, let's walk through your idea and see how that works because I think there's something rather important being said.
I don't know if you drive, but let's say you or someone is driving a car. You're driving where you live, your neighborhood, say on the the way to go maybe get some lunch.
You come to an intersection and the light is yellow. Now, most people would say you're faced with your first choice. Do you speed up and go through? Or do you slow down and come to a stop?
Now, you might say that it comes down to the kind of person you are. A risk taker might speed up and go through while someone who thinks of themselves as more cautious would likely stop.
These kinds of choices present themselves all the time, right?
But here's the part that people don't pay attention to.
If there was no traffic light there, no intersection, would you have a reason to think about stopping in the middle of the street?
Your choice is secondary to the larger choice that's already been made for you.
Your path from your house to Arby's is already created for you. The places to go eat are offered to you. You choose what has been chosen for you. What your environment provides you, what it offers you.
When your choices are exceptionally limited; and there neighborhoods and areas that have extremely limited choices to be made, you may make daily decisions, but to what end?
Survival often requires rescue. Sometimes that is professional help like the Coast Guard getting you off a raft in the middle of the ocean. Sometimes rescue is a lucky discovery like food or shelter that helps you just survive another night on the side of a mountain.
Sometimes it's a hand and plan to get you out of the street and into a place where you can make better decisions simply because they are available to be made.
When the system that provides you your choices that you make fails, when it breaks down, when that red light you stopped at malfunctions and remains red, what do you do? How long do you sit there obediently waiting for that light to change? Driving through is a crime, regardless of whether you get caught, right? Sometimes the only choices an environment provides are bad ones, and the result can lead to bad consequences.
Ultimately, the world sets the paths and destinations before you, in nearly every way.
It's your point of origin that usually equips you for what lies ahead.

@@johnswanger8474 I see where you are trying to go. everyone feels bad for her because she is addicted to fentanyl and is homeless because people aren’t paying attention to the actual facts and environment.
What environment caused her to be a successful mortgage broker? What environment caused the state to interfere in her perfectly good life and cause a struggle over her being able to keep her kids? What environment caused a successful woman to lose custody of her kids? To a family member no less? What environment causes a person who says that she only drank to suddenly give up on life and start coping with fentanyl after losing a 4 year custody case with the state as she stated? What environment causes everyone to feel sorry for her and not hold her accountable for any decisions she has made since becoming an adult? What environment ceases to feel for the children that have lost a mother because of her actions or inactions? What did the children do to lose a mother and well seemingly a father since she never mentioned their father(s)? Lastly, what if this was a man? How would y’all react to the story if it were a man? Would y’all be pissing all over a man who has the same narrative for not being a man and taking responsibility for his duties as a man and a father and a husband? Women get a pass for every misstep and if someone dares call it what it is based off of what the woman says then that person is mean or a bully or unsympathetic or uncaring or has lived a privileged life without struggle?
There is way more to the story than she has shared that we will never know. It blows my mind that society has fallen so far from where it was when I was growing up in the 90’s. My life has not been easy or of luxury. I have had real struggles that I am not going to share to validate my thought process and I shouldn’t have to. Every decision we make is of our own accord. Very few people have a built in excuse for why they do what they do. Veterans for example “are held in high esteem” by society right? But then when they struggle after they get home and assimilate back into society and get into trouble every pisses on them? Where is the compassion like this lady is getting? They made the choice to serve and protect the American way of life but get very little real help and they are men. Men have different standards no matter the aptitude level. Let’s cut the nonsense and call it what it is. She made bad decisions and failed to correct them and despite her place of success as a mortgage broker she failed as a parent and then chose to do drugs to cope and is now homeless.
Does she deserve compassion as a human being? Sure. But does she get a free pass for her decisions? Most of y’all are doing exactly that. Are these the lessons you teach your kids? That there shouldn’t be consequences for their choices?

if we can reduce the struggle to exist in this world we would reduce those suffering from stress. it's shocking how many people assume that life stays perfect for everyone and when it cost so much to exist, many choose to be homefree rather then burdened by perpetual debt. If Kristin reads this, I love your ink. Clean and sober comes when basic needs are met and people are working toward goals they feel spiritually aligned with. Babble On isn't working for many. Don't let the good this video is able to do for others be the thing that does you in.

Pray and I mean pray like your life depends on it to find a light to guide you back to shore and don't give up.
You can't worry about things like insurance and costs.
You have to pick the direction you need to and jump off the last bits of debris your clinging to because otherwise your going down with it.

I try not to judge this woman but there are certain things that can be avoided and a lot of times it’s because of our poor decision making skills. Some people never learn, I know of someone whom is an ex drug user and has a daughter. We worry a lot about the kind of men she has around her daughter but she listens to no one and is quick to point the finger. I really hope this lady turns it around not for herself but for her children because they are the ones who really suffer watching their parents go through that. Children are very smart, they observe and learn what’s going on in their family settings, a lot of time the issues don’t manifest themselves until much later in their lives. Don’t ever use drugs period! Just the other day I heard a mother tell her son that he should only experiment with drugs in a safe environment, ridiculous, absolutely ridiculous.
