This is seriously so impressive! As a domino artist (thanks for showing some of my projects in the beginning!), I’m amazed at how realistic it looks. Usually these physics domino simulations look clearly animated, but the extra level of details you put into the lighting, surface imperfections, size, and sound were really well done. The only thing that seemed off was the domino drop at 11:22 from the door to the circle field on the ground - that was just too clean of a fall xD Usually dominoes would bounce and make dominoes fly everywhere on impact, especially from that high up on the ground. But really, this was awesome and I very much enjoyed hearing the thought process behind it! If you need a pro Domino Artist to help out with some designs, just let me know! Can’t wait to see what you make in the next one!
Hevesh5 no one gonna mention that you have 2.7 mil subs
Hey!! Been subbed for a long time, cool to see you here ;-]
Agreed. Love those guys tho
Maybe they could do a real setup and a digital one and see if people can tell the difference
Oh ya they should have actually asked someone who does this
Corridor Crew: "You still have to make the physics work."
Also Corridor Crew: "Let's make them go up the wall."
*_Just Logic, nothing to do in here_*
Nothing is real and everything is permitted
How you get verified with 13 subscribers?
@@user-fi7mb6nm5o Idk, probably errors, his name using another app for hacking or something I just missunderstand :p
How are you verified
Plot twist: The domino run was real and the Corridor Crew is CG.
Oh my...
@@dinterdos lol
They were all deepfaked. It was really Tom Cruise, Keanu Reeves, and Bill Hader the whole time.
stfu kid
@NoodleKDoodle ! he is an 8yo that just found about bad words and slang bad words and he thinks they are cool
Didn't realise Niko literally lives above the studio
so did sam but he moved out
He and his wife have been there since they started renting the studio.
In addition to housing Freddiew, Corridor Digital, Node, etc. back in the day, I think a few different people connected to those channels (besides Sam and Niko) have lived there.
same here dude
He's actually moving out of that space now
Wren: "Don't touch where he touched" (on the measure band)
Wren later: *Throws an SD card to Clint*
Martin and everyone touched their face mask lol.
@@TachibanaKyosuke That makes literally no sense. Masks are there to protect you from airborne particles, not the physical touch of a person, and on top of that, they touched the front of the mask not the side they're wearing.
Rocky117 Yes, as you said, mask are for protecting from airborne particles which usually stuck at the front of the mask (if it is a good one, not letting them through). Touching in front of the mask means it transferred to your hand. You then have a risk of touching your face with those hands.
Just wait till next week when they reveal that all the interaction was just composit shots and only 2 person were in the room at any time...
Also just the fact that the camera is very obviously not 6 ft away in many of these shots
The "flying dominoes" might just be spinning really fast because there is no air resistance, and just transfering all the momentum thus flying away.
Or it just clipped and bounced
Ye olde ragdoll effect at maximum velocity.
I am surprised you can't just toggle something and it adds air or water resistance around objects and then you render
@@SahilP2648
I'm pretty sure it would add a *lot* of complexity to the simulation, and make it much harder on the CPU, thus increasing rendering-time significantly.
Maybe in a few years CPUs will be powerful enough that it won't impact them too much.
Sooo, maybe soon(ish) we can?
@@The_Keeper but considering we just simulate a million particles covering the whole object, if larger object then low displacement because of mass, in which case we can just reduce the number of particles. It doesn't have to be an entire pool if you want to just do the simulation around 2 balls floating, you get me? That way instead of having probably 1 quintillion objects, instead we have maybe 7 million particles per frame depending on the objects. Then you simulate those pgysics on just those 7 million particles. Now I don't know if the 7 million particles is the upper limit of modern Cpus, just scale it down likewise. And THEN press Render. Btw I was high writing this, couldn't have wrote this without being high. In case you read this, consider yourself lucky cause this is one of the blue moon's time my friend.
@@The_Keeper I can't help but think of a video that the Project Borealis team put out a while ago on their wind and drag system. Within that video, they demonstrated a quite realistic and simultaneously low-impact aerodynamics system. Also within that video, they referenced the use of hundreds of wind-interacting objects in a single scene. Given that this is intended for a game (so all simulations are real-time), I'd have to assume that any decent computer equipped for rendering would have no issues with implementing this system on thousands of objects without any significant render time increase. For most tasks, I'd wager that the graphical side would the vast majority of resources even with this aerodynamics system.
For another comparison, take Kerbal Space Program. Creating a craft with hundreds of wings (which all have aerodynamics being applied to them) will only make your computer slow to maybe 5 fps depending on specs. This is all with using a single core; any craft in KSP is single threaded, and so tied to the performance of any one core. A properly optimized game would probably sit happy at 60 fps.
To summarize, sufficiently realistic aerodynamic effects have what may as well be zero performance impact.
When you are just reading this Stormlight Archive book series and you heard Wren saying "windrunner" at 2:33 ..

i’d watch an hour long video of niko trying to get milo’s attention from a window while she just wobbles around that was so cute
He named a girl Milo?
Nate Scherer never heard of Milo and stitch
@@merrymerry770 Nope, is that Lilo's cousin?
Best part of this whole vid is Niko and his kid making noises at eachother.
It's just dad noise followed by baby noises and repeat, so simple and yet so adorable
then Clint was like, "Niko lets focus on the important stuff
Yo i was about to write that lol
That was so cute
“Hey Milo..... *fart noise”
0:14 Wren: “you’re defeating the point if you touch people with these things”
Also Wren: *has nose outside of mask*
They all defeat the piont by constantly puting their hands on the mask. If anyone of them has it those mask would be full of virus and they are likly to spread it by tutching other surfuses afterwards. In this case i think no mask would be about as safe as they dont use them correctly.
8:10 Wren takes out SD card with his hand and throws it to Clint
@@vonfersen This right here is why over here (netherlands) they have been very hesitant in telling people to use masks and in the beginning it was even being discouraged
shut the fuck up
The moment they showed that Clint is using his thigh as his mousepad, I've never felt happier to actually know that I'm not the only one. ;3
I seriously don't know why almost no one does this! It's so useful and comfortable!

Oh. I read those books because Wran made his little add about them and I feel in love with them. I finished all the ones out and he said it so casually yoo
Read some other books by brandon sanderson like alcatraz and steelheart.. are the other ones worth checking out?

Minute 3:50
“IS THAT A CG BABY?” 😮
Just for info, you're not recommended to touch the front part of your mask, and if you do, wash your hands asap :P
To adjust the mask better to do it holding the elastics ;)
If stuff deposits on the mask, it's probably on the front part where you intake air, so in theory it's the "dirtiest" part
oh my god, i want to scream every time they touch the mask.
It was killing me to try and not scream at the screen, great video tho
At the very least, they've at least hit that compliance.
Oh good it wasn't just me.

That CGI dude walking between the falling dominoes at 13:21 really cracked me up. Great touch!
Wren saying "You're not a windrunner" made my day because I have seen so few people who know about that series, or any Sanderson books.
4:31 - NVidia studio drivers and the game drivers are actually pretty much the same, they just have different update cycles. Gamers are less likely to need/want optimizations for professional programs while artists are less likely to need/want optimizations for new games. However all of the game optimizations are in the studio drivers and vice versa.
"You're not a windrunner"

Coming from a non CGI domino artist, this was really well done! I especially am impressed with the sounds the normal sized dominoes made, it was pretty realistic.

I love your videos. I watch them all the time. I'm no where near being into graphic designs. But, I'm an actor and movie detail type of guy and the things you hit on are things I love to critique and see.
Your videos are pure fun. Wish you all and Corridor Crew continued success!!!
They keep making things they could put on the main channel and putting it here!
Pretty epic, not gonna to lie.
Random fact: Mickey Mouse was the first ever cartoon character to talk. In the 1929 episode, The Karnival Kid, Mickey’s first words were “Hot dogs!”

Why
@@nala3055 because europe is being invaded, just sayin'
@Gods Bloody Hammer hahahah
Looked great. I think this is just a "proof of concept" so the glaring errors are passable. Would love to see a complete dominoes video with more time put into it!
- That wall tracking was really "floaty" looking though, the the dominoes suddenly going over the light switch.
- Weird textures on the black dominoes
- As Niko said: Dominoes transition!
- The obvious lighting direction issue that was spotted.
- Bat dominoes XD
Yeah, it'll be interesting to see if there's a final version. The giant dominoes were definitely missing divots in their dots. And I wonder if the surface imperfection textures were scaled up, or if they stayed the same relative size. For example, you don't want giant fingerprint textures. Cool stuff.
I think the *one* thing that stood out for me was the domino explosion, it felt like everything was sort of lying on a single surface. There are of course things to tighten up but I feel like for how probably quickly they produced this (assuming they did it within 3 or 4 days), on high-end laptops with just a quick run-through on the concept, they knocked it out of the park. Would of course expect more polish for a main channel vid, but this is an (dare I say .... really good advertisment for those lappys)
What is the terminology for this type of blending of Real life footage & CGI called ?
I mean what "keyword" should I search for these type of videos .
for the wall, the physics looked at that angle look weird, the same way it's weird looking at people walking when the footage is upside down. I think in terms of filmmaking, rotating the camera parallel to the wall when the dominos start to climb could make the illusion better.
@@TracksWithDax I looked at it again, he made a hitbox for the buildings, but not for the trucks, so that's what doesn't line up, the dominos that are sitting a street level when they are supposed to be on top of a trucks.
I gotta admit, for a quick throw together project, these came out nice, guys! Kudos! I'm willing to fave this video, it's very unique.
I fully support the Stormlight reference. A fight between Zeth and Kaladin would be sick!
