Vivo x200 pro wins by a mile and thats a last year model the New vivo X200 Ultra coming out soon and thats going to make the new s25 ultra go back 3-5 years back in term of camera
I prefer the design of the S25U by a mile. I dislike the look of the cameras on the rear of the vivo, and I also prefer the flat sides of the S25U. I also think the speakers are a bit better on the S22U. The camera winner for me was the vivo, as I expected it would be, HOWEVER, the S25U did better against than I thought it would. It's an excellent camera, even though it is no match against the stunning vivo. Out of curiosity, which represented the the true shade of blue in your jacket better in the portrait photo? They were wildly different. I'm noticing that a lot in camera comparisons that feature the S25U - typically grass, sky, clothing etc all look different, but unsure which is the more true to life representation.
Tbh I was waiting for VIVO x200 Ultra however when I found out a deal with my company… £800 with free buds, 512 storage, case and charger for s25 ultra, I decided to buy it. I know, it wasn’t the best for camera however it can do the majority of the tasks for a smartphone. I appreciated your review on this video.
In terms of Camera Photage, Most Pictures of Vivo wins Contrast, Details, Dynamic Range , S25 Ultra wins the Screen by all means Plus to the One UI 7 of Course
Didn't expect that I bought the s25 ultra and I have a vivo x100pro also - thinking of trading up to x200 pro - i prefer the camera on the vivo x100 pro but as an overall package with oneUI7 it can't be beaten
Still think that x200 pro is a much better buy. One UI is not that good IMHO and camera wise i like vivo most. Anyway, it's a personal choice and for me samsung is not up there
After the first reviews of the S25 Ultra i pulled the trigger on the Vivo for 2 main reasons: Battery Life and Price - 850€ for the 16/512GB Vivo vs 1250€ for the same storage on the Samsung... Cameras are excellent on both, tho i like to take Tele shots and Portraits and the Vivo delivered more what i was looking for. And when it comes to battery life - hot damn, that Vivo packs a punch - unplugged it yesterday in the morning and still have 45% left (its 6 PM now)... of the missing 55% the camera alone ate 43% - so you know what i was doing xD
You surprised me Mike, I think if you had compared more zoom pics, the VIVO X200 Pro would've won the camera test. Nothing at all wrong with Samsung phones as work horses, functionality etc. As you said, can't go wrong with either. 😊
I found your channel recently (about a month ago) while looking for a new phone. I came across x200 pro and I was hesitant on it because I've been a samsung galaxy user for over 10 years , but the reviews seemed very good. Also from the reactions of s25 ultra aspecs reveal, I thought I would just get the x200 pro. I didn't mind paying for the global version even though the ultra25 would've been much cheaper with trade ins due to all the overwhelming positive reviews for x200 pro. Now, I am starting to regret getting the vivo x200 pro. As much as I enjoy it, I can't believe you switched out like that so quickly. I know this could be your honest review, but this is just my personal opinion. I know in the end, I made my own decision to order the phone myself, but I have learned a good lesson going forward.
Let's be honest, Samsung didn't do enough this year. If you have an s23U or up your fine. The Vivo is a damn nice phone. It's nice to change things up from time to time. I spoke out negative about the s25U & ordered it 😂 im still not happy with the lack of upgrades.
Hey, i never switched out! i have owned an x200 pro for months, i simply wanted a new device and the Samsung ricks most boxes. in 4 weeks the Honor RSR global will be available and rhat will be my phone of choice or the OPPO x8 Ultra. Dop not buy phones that i am using otherwise you will have 25 a year!
Fake review because he got a good deal he is Samsung fan. I think on his website he has a great deal with Samsung and gets max profit on the phone. Samsung gets hot, battery live bad and wireless charging only 15w. Cam is better on the vivo and you going to pay for the AI futures that all says enough. Also updates makes Samsung slow and a bad phone after a update. I got my Oppo find x8 pro without changing my older phone for €480 euro there is no better deal than that for the best phone out there at this moment! But then again you review a phone on its original price and not discount deals. So i have a problem with the honesty of Average Dad.
I too would choose the Samsung. One UI and the Goodlock feature set are better than any of the extra camera perks the Vivo (or any other brand) can offer IMO. The Vivo undoubtedly has the better camera quality, but looking at the phone as a whole, it's the Samsung. The Chinese branded phone camera bumps are ugly AF and are way too thick at this point in time.
Slight win for Vivo in photography (the macro and the black-and white tree at the beginning are clear wins for Vivo). The rest are very much comparable and it comes down to personal preference. I am quite surprised by Samsung as I would have expected a much clearer win for Vivo.
The Vivo does shoot 200mp you have to go to high resolution mode in the camera and then at the top of the screen hit 200mp each photo is around 33mb in size
I'm using the S25U and even I did not expect it to be this good. The specs of the phone made it seem like it was just Samsung settling but actually using the phone is just a completely different story. I ended up selling my OnePlus 13 to keep the S25U. I think this will be my daily driver the rest of the year. It's an absolute gorgeous phone in person that is now on par with OnePlus in speed/smoothness.
Photos looked really good on the samsung but no low light? It's night and day difference. The vivo is without a doubt so much better in low light. Less noise, more details. We are talking about unusable shots by the samsung and usble shots by the vivo
it wins battery because it doesnt have a beefy snapdragon, which is why i dont think ill take this, also ive seen videos claiming it has worst camera than the x100 ultra, also samsung camera is still a bit better overall in both case so.....
I like the quad curve screen on vivo but it's bezels are like 3 years behind. I mean look at how thin the bezels are on the S25U. The side bezels of the X200P are almost twice as large.
Oppo find N5, lets go lol! I cant wait for this one damn. Great video mike, if you like the samsaung maybe it doesnt suck as bad as i also originally thought. I bet you were quite shocked yourself with the outcome on this one lol.
I wish I could say that. Once you are addicted to OneUI + Good Lock + Good Guardians mainly customised Gestures, One Hand Operation +, Pop-up Widget, Modes & Routines, that's how you interact or use phone. Does Vivo maintain ADB hooks/ standards? It will, at least, allow to use work around i.e. Vivid Navigation Gestures. I also use System UI Tuner by Zachary Wander to enable partial Immersive mode i.e. hide Status bar.
At first I was disappointed by the s25 ultra however I tested it at Best Buy and the selfie , performance, snapdragon elite , video improvements, round edges , lighter weight, corning glass speakers impressed me alot compared to my s23 ultra however I may wait 2 more years to see if I can get more valuable upgrades or wait for their triple foldable or w26 to see the improvements
Every battery last long these days. Double dggitts is common these days. Only reason i don't get these chinease phones, is that if something goes wrong. Good luck getting it repaired. You have to folk out another £1000 to buy another one. Oppo atleast is in o2 so you could atleast get a repair there.
Not really. In fact Vivo after sales is very good at least in my country. It is better than samsung in my opinion especially it has 1 year warranty for the screen. Samsung? They don't give any shit
Oh! I see you've relented! Ha ha! 🤣🤣No worries! It can happen, and it has. I prefer the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra. But I do like the Vivo X200 Pro design. I would like Samsung to do something different for the camera array come the S26 Ultra! I think with Samsung's background in digital cameras, they can pull something spectacular off! I have to state that I preferred the photos and video from the Galaxy S25 Ultra! But the Vivo X200 was pretty impressive too!
Year i saw this coming that you'd pick S25u as daily. you've already been a secret Samsung Knight 😂 On the photos id 50/50 spilt. But rrp price wise S25u 150 pounds to much. But wait till X200ultra and X8ultra come out and blow away Samsung and all other Ultra's
One thing to factor in is that the X200 Pro comes with a pre-installed screen protector whereas the S25 Ultra doesn't. Screen protectors decrease visual quality in exchange for preventing micro-scratches. So that's something to consider when you say that the S25U's display is significantly better. It's not a like for like comparison unless you take the screen protector off the Vivo X200 pro.
@@AverageDadOfficial Exactly, you would expect a 20p film to hurt the visual quality. That's why I asked. Have you compared the screens without protectors? I'm genuinely curious.
I've seen a lot of reviews on these cameras and while the vivo edges it more often than not especially if you want to get creative with your shots... Its not always a 100% win. Samsung does offer some clear wins though in the anti reflective screen, software and spen (even if they nerfed it 😅) but AD is right its not a bad phone at all just a bit boring of an upgrade for Samsung users. And imo a bit overpriced . But hey for $750 hard to complain
On the cameras, the Vivo wins it on almost every photo which includes the sky. The S25 blows out a lot. Colours on the Vivo were occasionally over saturated. Were you in the default 'vivid' mode? I agree it's very close but my win would go to the Vivo, albeit only just Screen definitely goes to the S25 - you just can't beat a flat screen Roll on the Vivo, Xiaomi and Oppo Ultra phones.... Great vid and thanks for the hard work

it wins battery because it doesnt have a beefy snapdragon, which is why i dont think ill take this, also ive seen videos claiming it has worst camera than the x100 ultra, also samsung camera is still a bit better overall in both case so.....
what a fool
I like the quad curve screen on vivo but it's bezels are like 3 years behind. I mean look at how thin the bezels are on the S25U. The side bezels of the X200P are almost twice as large.
?? the screen is curved on the Vivo haha! you are needing help
@AverageDadOfficial it's what it's called, a Quad Micro Curved display.
Oppo find N5, lets go lol! I cant wait for this one damn.
Great video mike, if you like the samsaung maybe it doesnt suck as bad as i also originally thought. I bet you were quite shocked yourself with the outcome on this one lol.
Vivo wins...It's a fact 🤣🤞
Well im dumbfounded Mike has gone for the Samsung 😮 but credit to where credit is due for the winner
VIVO reminds me of the HAL 9000
Vivo wins.
For me samsung only wins in selfie camera and software feature.. vivo wins in term of smoothness and everything video photo 🔥
A lot of vivo simps in the comments
I’m with Samsung. I like the software better.
I prefer Samsung UI and especially S Pen
But Samsung I've just never liked their processing at all it's still horrid
❤❤❤❤
Year i saw this coming that you'd pick S25u as daily. you've already been a secret Samsung Knight 😂
On the photos id 50/50 spilt.
But rrp price wise S25u 150 pounds to much.
But wait till X200ultra and X8ultra come out and blow away Samsung and all other Ultra's
😊😊😊😊
F Yeah!
One thing to factor in is that the X200 Pro comes with a pre-installed screen protector whereas the S25 Ultra doesn't. Screen protectors decrease visual quality in exchange for preventing micro-scratches. So that's something to consider when you say that the S25U's display is significantly better. It's not a like for like comparison unless you take the screen protector off the Vivo X200 pro.
yes that 20p screen protector makes all the difference
@@AverageDadOfficial Exactly, you would expect a 20p film to hurt the visual quality. That's why I asked. Have you compared the screens without protectors? I'm genuinely curious.
If they only cost coppers, why didn't Samsung include wan?.
@dementedavenger74 So that reviewers would say it's the best and clearest display in the world before they get a chance to scratch it up.
Can I have the vivo then as you love a giveaway
of course... for £875 😃
@AverageDadOfficial lol Worth a go
I've seen a lot of reviews on these cameras and while the vivo edges it more often than not especially if you want to get creative with your shots...
I agree it's very close but my win would go to the Vivo, albeit only just
Screen definitely goes to the S25 - you just can't beat a flat screen
Roll on the Vivo, Xiaomi and Oppo Ultra phones....
Great vid and thanks for the hard work
Vivo has the best camera, for the rest s25 ultra is the android flagship of the year. No need to lie to ourselves. Its the best.
