Living in the woods in Mtn. Home, AR, having access and views of Bull Shoals Lake and surrounded by nature; our priorities were views, views and more views!!!!...... If possible, a picture window between the 2 narrow ones or maybe just a picture window alone might be a consideration. I love the siding and porch. You and Hannah are doing a great job and the "guys" helping add to the experience. Thanks for including us in this phase of your family life. I'm excited to take the tour when it's all finished. I am thankful God is guiding and protecting each and everyone involved in the building project.
Walt, thank you for always sharing your faith and trust in God. You never have to apologize for feeling deeply about those you love. I lost my mom about the same time your dad passed. The Lord helps us through our grief but we never stop missing our parents.

Yes, I’d double up the skinny windows, if you have enough. Or add a picture window & flank it with the skinny windows.
The two windows are a bit off what about trimming them out and then adding shutters? Maybe they are too narrow for shutters but try holding a board on each side of the window to see if you like it ? If you can add a third window that would look nice too but it may throw off what you need inside? Cabin/ writing sanctuary is really coming along nicely, I see your excitement building!
Funny how one incident gets you thinking about something from so many years ago and gets those emotions all stirred up, sometimes just a song on the radio does it especially around anniversary dates.

You asked our opinions on the 2 small windows. They do look off. Do you think if the one on the left had been put further to the left or the one on the right was further to the left it would look better. They look off centered or something. Now as far as the siding (which you did not ask for our opinion but I always have one!) I absolutely love it. It is perfect.
Seems like you're coming along and thought of everything. We can always thank God for His protection. I know you are so anxious to occupy it.
Beautiful cabin I was in my early twenties when I lost my Dad to a massive heart attack. He had never been sick . There is not a day that gone by since he passed away I haven’t thought about him and what today would be like if he still was with me . I miss him everyday he died in 1994
A decorative sign would look good between those windows.
Add a colorful painted barn quilt between the windows on the outside, sized however you like.
It would look great with shutter around windows & then add window box planters 😁
It definitely needs another window to make 3 windows. I wouldn't put a wall feature because it would stick out like a sore thumb.

Just a thought. Leave those narrow windows as is. The placement of furniture could be difficult wth a wall of windows. You might make those narrow windows where they can be opened to shoot out of for security or game hunting. It could be nice to set inside on a rainy day and hunt season game.😉 It is looking really nice and your crew is amazing.

Thank you for sharing your day and time. I Also lost my mom and dad in the same year1996. And God has been with me all the way. He absolutely takes care of us! Even when you don’t think that he is, he is right with you all the time! But I did have a huge blessing in 1996 my son Taylor was born the same day that my mom passed away. Taylor has brought me great joy. I have two sons that God has blessed me with and two beautiful daughter-in-law‘s, and I’m about to have my first grandbaby! We have a promise to see our loved ones again, and I thank the Lord so much have a blessed day

Okay, now that I see the inside I understand why this was done. If you want something in between, don’t ruin the wall space altogether but maybe consider a window placed horizontally at the top edge of the two already placed, kinda like a transom window. The cabin is looking good!
No i think i would make thé two window’s a little larger. Because you have enough large window’s. I would also ask advise from intérieur architecture. Lové to Miss Brenda and lové from France. God bless you all.
Looking at the narrow windows , they are so unbalanced ... the one is too close to the edge of the wall to look good. Would it be possible to close that area and double up the two more in the center of the wall ? I am thankful that none of you were hurt and glad you all gave God the credit for protecting you.
Wider windows, or add another window to give more light….I choose wider windows..
Line up several of those skinny windows so they make one large window.
Maybe add a larger window between the two skinny ones.

They look good so leave them. You may enjoy the space between the windows for hanging something inside!
